Came from out of town and my van decided to not start. I ended up being able to finally get it to start and called A-1 because I saw they were open late and on Saturday. Dennis and Rodney were very accommodating and stayed past their normal closing time in order to help me and my family have our van back for the rest of the trip. I really appreciate them going above and beyond, and I would definitely come back should I need service while in Lynchburg again.

I would never go here if theres anything wrong with your vehicle. in fact i found out after i went there that they were just not working on people vehicles and still charging people. also one of the owners or workers there were on the news because he was cought video recording a women and her child and selling drugs... DO NOT GO HERE!!

This shop goes by Hubbards auto service now. But worst service I’ve ever received. I called the day before and told him what I needed fixed. Two other shops told me the same issue but couldn’t fix it for two weeks. I dropped the car off the next morning and my dad told him that the other shops said make sure it’s calibrated afterwards. I go back to the shop at 5pm and my truck hadn’t moved. I go i to the office and he says sorry to tell you but you need a transmission. I explained that the transmission just got replaced 2 months ago. And he’s like well it won’t reverse. I told him it went in reverse before I got here and i put it in reverse to park it when I left, he told me to call my warranty because the transmission is done and he can rebuild it i said sir nothing is wrong with my transmission and moved my truck with no problem to pull into the garage. He then put it on a machine and said oh this needs to be replaced. I said I know that’s what I said yesterday on the phone. I went to Pinkerton to pick up the piece and they were closed so I went to oriellys and bought the piece. I came back and he said you need to replace your gear shift. I said no I don’t he said these trucks are known for having issues with that. I said well mine doesn’t. He put the piece I bought on and we went into the office for me to pay. He said you need an oil change or anything and I told him no he laughed and said just this part ain’t it. I paid and went to pull off. As I was pulling off I realized he moved quick. So I called and said did you recalibrate it. He said I forgot come back real quick. I go back he puts it on a machine and an abs light comes one and check engine (lights that were never there before). I explained that those lights were never on. He lifts the car and said oh ABS light is on because you need a Hub Beating. I explained that it was never on before so why is it just magically on now. I asked him could it be on because he forgot to recalibrate it. He replied and said oh yea I don’t have the system to recalibrate it. I then asked why would he even do the work if he didn’t have the system. He then said I told him that ABS light had been on. I told him to stop putting words in my mouth because no lights were on my dash before he put his hands on my truck. He is one of the most sheisty, conniving mechanics I’ve ever dealt with in my life. Do not take your vehicle to your shop even if it’s your last option. Better off driving your car however it is driving. Would give it negative stars if I could.

Don’t deserve any stars, had to click one to post. Worse service ever. My car had a bad jerk and leaking power steering fluid. Fixed the power steering issue. Had to take my car back to fix the jerking never fixed the issue. Someone took my battery out of my vehicle and they left my window down and had rain all over my vehicle. Tried to get in touch with the owner, phone wasn’t in service anymore and went back the next day they didn’t have any electricity. Finally spoke with girlfriend to get me another battery. Worse ever.

We stopped at Advanced Auto and asked about the rattle in our engine and if they could pull a code. These guys were awesome and overheard and offered to look at it and found out the problem immediately. Another mechanic would have charged 100 just to pull it in. They were very nice and very reasonable too!

Got the heat in my Jeep Wrangler fixed. Brought the Jeep in on Friday, they found out what the problem was that was causing me to not get heat, then we couldn’t get the part for it from their people because it was on back order. So the guys there went and found the part on google in which I was able to buy myself and avoid any additional parts fees. The part came in yesterday, and I took it in today to get it placed and the guys did a great job, did it in a timely manner right before the holidays, and they gave me a great price after diagnostics and labor. Highly recommend!
