Bad customer service. The older guy clearly had something against me , he definitely made me feel as if I was bothering him when all I needed was a used tire. He continued to feed me bull crap until I politely stood my ground and told him about himself. He seems like an old grumpy guy if you ask me.

Wow! I go in with a loose wheel because some previous incompetent mechanic forgot to remove my centering rings and mount my wheels correctly. The guy behind the desk appears completely hungover and acts accordingly. I tell him my problem and after explaining the utter incompetence of the previous mechanic, he tightens up the lug nuts. I slip him a $20 for his 5 minute job and I’m on my way. The very next morning I discover that yet again my wheel is loose. I pull in again and the same guy (presumably with the same hangover) puts the car up, removes a wheel and finds the centering rings. He removes them, makes more comments about the incompetent mechanic before him, and remounts my wheels. I slip him another $20, and I’m on my way. Day #3… driving along and feel that ever familiar rattle of a loose wheel, and pull into A-1 tire for the third and final time. To my surprise, one of my lug nuts is completely missing! The “mechanic” states, “you watched me put them on” What he never did was check them with a torque wrench… he simply assumed (on the third try) that the air gun was calibrated!? He tightens the remaining lugs, tells me that he can’t replace the missing one, and… tells me that the $40 was earned because he did work! Fortunately, his associate had a shred of decency and gave me $10 back so I could go buy my own lug nuts! NEVER AGAIN!

These guys made my slow tire leak worse. Like fill-it-up-every-other-day worse. Had to take it to a professional tire shop only to be told that because A1 had already done a faulty patch job I would need to purchase a brand new one (you can’t patch a tire more than once apparently). Set me back $255 for my brand of tire. I’ll never go back to A1 again.

I called ahead to confirm that they actually had the tire size I needed in stock since it was an uncommon tire size. The gentleman I spoke with called me back within 5-10 minutes to confirm. When I arrived, they were friendly and had me in and out quickly. I bought 2 used tires that were in great condition and fairly priced. I definitely recommend A1 and will be back again in the future!
