No help at all, came in with a transmission problem, drove my car from la puente all the way to lax. I read the comments and I liked them But when they give me the estimate for my transmission I was shocked $5000_6000 dollars on a 2007 Nissan!! The car it self is probably Worth $1000_1500 , how can the do that ? Who would pay that much ??

Can’t say enough about Art and his team over at AAMCO transmissions in Inglewood! They absolutely crushed it out of the park for me and above and beyond on many occasions, that’s becoming my go to transmission shop for any future transmission or brake issues. Art, thank you so much for all the help!

He is very knowledgeable and he explained the problem so simply that we were able to understand and he explained the procedure for fixing the car. Thank you ART you are ok in my book.

There are so many good reviews because the general public doesn't know anything about the diagnostic system of automobiles. And mechanics can pick how much they want to get out of an individual. And if your car has high performance options, they wont hesitate toexchange that one for a standard one because you cant see what is on the inside. For example a 2006 Doge charger and a 2006 Dodge hemi Charger Hellcat both used 722.6 automatic transmission and the hellcats transmission has stronger internal parts because a supercharger adds horsepower and top end speed that requires a different gear ratio. Now my Mercedes s55 amg Kompressor has the 722.6 transmission except now it's equivalent to the standard model. My bill says the rebuild kit is for a Honda CVT trans. I was charged for a remanufactured valve body and charged for a shift kit. Shift kit is included in the cost of manufacture. Their policy is that if they remove , disassemble and inspect your transmission and you don't go through with the repair they will have to put it back in your vehicle an d the labor for that is $950. But if you let them do the repair then your not supposed to be charged the $950 so that your estimate is free. My bill has that charge added as rdi. My transmission isnt compatible with my engine. Pluss I'm missing parts. Car almost caught on fire. And switching the wiring to the two downstreem O2 sensors will make your engine light to luminate after about six miles. Good one.

Art's the best!!! A friend referred him to me for an oil change and to see what else was needed on my car since my engine light went on. He was fast, friendly and very professional. I always thought AAMCO only worked on transmissions but they do much more than that. Now I know where to maintenance my car! Oh and the office was nice and clean.

Art was very respectful and welcoming, I had issues with other places that serviced my car but the way he greeted me and his team servicing the car made me feel apart of their family. Definitely a high recommendation for your car service needs!

Finding a good Barber and a good and trustworthy mechanic service is 2 of the top things on most peoples list and its definitely on mine. From the first experience with the Manager Derek I was at ease and felt I could trust him and his staff and I was correct; work that was needed was done in a prompt manner and completed on time as promised. I would recommend this location and will be a repeat customer. Tell Derek and Jesse I said Hi. Excellent Service!

Went to several different shops with my Mercedes and none could figure out the problem. Art the manager took time to listen to my concerns and asked me to leave it a couple hours. Within a couple of hours he called me with the diagnosis and at a cost much less than what I was being told by family and friends. Art and his techs made my experience at Aamco an amazing one. I highly recommend and will return for further automotive problems. Thanks again Art.

I am so disappointed in Art we spent alot of money to ensure the work on our transmission would be done correctly. We trusted Art and the shop. They failed us and won't own up to the mistake they made. Just be told their is nothing that can be done cause the warranty ran up. They failed and we got screwed out of thousands and had to put thousands more for another transmission cause they failed to hook up a part on the transmission they put in. I will not let this go people think we have thousands just to throw away.

The transmission on my Nissan Armada 4x4 broke down and I decided to go AAMCO branch in Inglewood Calif. They took time to explain the diagnostic report that was generated after using their computerized equipment to diagnose what the problem was. They explained to me the problem I'm having and what they were going to do to rebuild/fix it..They fixed my transmission and did a very goo work, such that my car is now driving like a brand new car. The gears are now changing correctly, has full power and there is no leaks. I was particularly impressed with the high level of support and superior customer service given to me by the manager, Derrick. He was very understanding and personally drove my car many times to make sure everything was fine. Jessy and the other workmen each drove the car to make sure everything.is working fine. When they couldn't finish with the adjustments and it was late, Derrick provided me a car to drive home and kept the car until mine was ready. That was real CUSTOMER CARE, I was asked to to drive the car and come back after 10 days so they recheck the car and make sure that I was completely satisfied. And they gave me 1 year warranty. I was very impressed with the quality of work that they did, satisfied with their customer service care and the detailed information they me in order to make an informed decision about the repairs to choose for my car. Derrick and Jessy as well as the other workmen there really satisfied and I want to use this forum to extend my gratitude to them. I am one satisfied customer.

I have to say this place ROCKS. Art the manager their is awesome. He knows his stuff, very patient and kind. I had brought my BMW to this facility and Art did a great job with keeping posted on what needed to be done with my car. And he just went over and beyond the call of duty in helping me out in fixing my car. Everyone must go to this shop, great prices and a great place to have your car worked on. I am a forever customer with this shop.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS AND TIME. If I could I would rate this place -0 stars. Let's start off by saying, Art is a LIAR. Do not take him serious or his manager Alan. I dropped my truck off in may for a transmission temperature sensor, they told me I needed a total transmission reconstruction. I okayed the service and Art told me the reconstruction would be done in 3 days. A week and a day later, I picked up my truck it seemed fine at first but my truck began to hard shift on the second gear. I contacted Art and he told me it was normal and it should correct itself after 200 miles of driving. Lo and behold it did not correct itself, it became WORSE. I brought my truck back after 2 weeks, Art updated my truck's internal computer system. When I arrived to pick up my truck again, he told me my truck was perfect. However, when I turned my truck on there was no lights or anything on my dash and the infomation console was blank. I took it back for a THIRD time, transmission also began to overheat and made a jet like noise coming from the engine. Art was basically telling me he wasn't sure what was wrong but he was playing the guessing game on the trouble shooting. Art then told me he needed to rebuild my transmission AGAIN. Since Art needed to rebuild my transmission again, AMCO would compensate me as told by Art. Fast forward to present I finally have my truck now with an ongoing legal battle. When I had my get my transmission rebuilt again, I continuously asked Art to show me the parts, modules and sensors he would be putting into my car. He NEVER showed me anything that I asked for even though he said he would. So, I was not compensated for ANYTHING and I was told they could not do anything about the compensation. Therefore, I disputed the charges of the service that was never performed accurately on my car. While this disputed charge was happening my truck was in the shop, Art and Alan (the general manager) were notified of the stopped charge so they threatened to lien sell my truck if I did not cancel the dispute. Overall, now that I finally have my truck back I can pursue legal action along with contacting the better business bureau. Along with text messages between me and Art discussing my truck's condition I also have proof in videos and pictures of the disaster I experienced. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS.

I am so sad about the way Art and management do business. I went in for a transmission problem, first time it went smooth, the transmission then failed in less than a year, because they put the wrong piece. Went in again, they took over a month to replace the part this time, because they had the wrong piece, AGAIN!, they finally "got it", went out, from the shop, the transmission didn't even last 30 miles, had to tow my car again, why? because they used a faulty piece this time, or they didn't installed it correctly, the truth, I don't even know, cause they wouldn't tell me. In the meanwhile, since they took their sweet time, over two months to fix, I ask Art (the manager) if they could offer me a loaner, he told me they approved it, that I should just rent a car for as long it takes the car to be fixed, pay, send the bill, and they would reimburse whatever it came up to be. Did exactly that, got the rental, not even for the time it was supposed to take, out of consideration, I got it just for a week (it took way more than that to get my car back), finally got my car, over two months later, then sent them the bill for the tow and the loaner, but oh surprise, it's been months, and I haven't received one single penny. Ultimately, they stopped answering all calls. I really hope this doesn't happen to anybody else. Really poor way of conducting business in my opinion.

Had my transmission rebuilt 2.5 years ago, it took 3 or 4 visits and approximately 3 or so months to finally get it right, so I thought. About 6 months ago I had to invest another 600 plus dollars because I had a transmission leak, I thought all hoses would've been replaced when the transmission work was done, not!!! And now I have a service engine light on, again, with a code stating torque converter issue, which had previously given that same code prior to the leak but was not able to get it to aamco. Not sure if my warranty is still active or not. Although Art was very nice, he was not very knowledgeable about a sensor that also needed to be replaced! I took my car here cause I figured they were most knowledgeable about transmissions, since they are specialist in that field. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE.
