I highly recommend Aamco of White Plains. I went to them with a transmission problem at the recommendation of another trusted mechanic. Mark is the best - he takes the time to explain what the problem is, potential solutions, and communicated throughout the work process. Ended up having to rebuild my transmission. Going on two months now, the car drives perfectly. These guys stand behind their work and reinspected the car after 500 miles at no additional charge. if you’re going to spend money on something as significant as a transmission rebuild, choosing the right shop matters. I went there last year cause my transmission was not working right. I told Jeff that I was headed to North Carolina and I didn’t want any problems. They said the problem was the steering mechanism. They ‘fixed’ it to the tune of $1500. I headed to NC. I almost did not make it. Transmission problems all the way. I finally found a small independent transmission shop in Wilmington NC. They put in a rebuilt transmission. Van working good. Jeff talks a good game but he’s a thief. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP. UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF.
