I recently visited Advance Auto Parts on South 31st St. in Temple, TX, and had an outstanding experience with associate Deontra Bass. I was looking for a specific part for my vehicle, and instead of just directing me to the aisle, Deontra took the time to personally walk with me to locate the item. This level of customer service was greatly appreciated, especially knowing that it may not always be possible during busier times. He communicated clearly about additional parts and expressed his genuine enjoyment of his role and the team he works with. I was in and out in just seven minutes. Excellent service all around!

Manager on duty on May 8 around 10:30am is immature and unprofessional. Has no business interacting with customers. My wife came in requesting oil and the man tried to gaslight her into buying the wrong oil. He was completely rude during the entire interaction and needs a big evaluation from upper management to eliminate the risk of losing business, just like they lost ours.

BEWARE with Returns at this establishment
What a horrible excuse and way to run a business! I used to like this store, but they chose to die on this hill for an old and maybe expired $20 bottle of coolant.
The associate Scott lied and tried to gaslight me, when he broke the seal opening the cap (to check if the seal was broken) saying he couldn’t accept the return because it was already open. What a disgrace. I guess don’t believe your lying eyes!
The worst part is, I contacted corporate, they offered a gift card for $20, then towards the end when they were getting my information, the chat magically lost connection.
I thought this place was a good alternative to Autozone and Oreiley’s. Turns out they are more shady than both of those companies.
If this is TLDR at least take heed to my advice and avoid Scott, the liar and gaslighting employee of this place. You might have to return something far more expensive than $20 coolant and get screwed. BEWARE
