Poor service. They stole my transmission replacement with a old an wrong size . AAA TOWED TO THERE LOCATION AN MIKE THEIR SERVICEMAN. TOOK MY TRANSMISSION FOR MY BUICK ENCLAVE AND PUT THE WRONG TRANSMISSION IN IT HAD NO PERMISSION TO WORK ON THE TRANSMISSION AS THEY'RE NOT A TRANSMISSION MECHANIC SERVICE CENTER IF IT WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY TRANSMISSION THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME BEFORE THEY FIXED IT AND I WOULD HAVE TAKEN IT TO AMOCO TO HAVE IT FIXED WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTY ON THE TRANSMISSION. I HAD TO TAKE CARE OF OFFICE TWO SMALL CLAIMS COURT ACROSS THE PERSON WHO OWNS THE FACILITY AND THE AGENT ARE TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE ALONG WITH THE MECHANIC SHOP BEING FAULTY FOR STEALING I WOULD NOT TRUST THIS PLACE AS THEY DO SHADY SHOT THEY GIVE YOU 30 DAY WARRANTY ON WHATEVER THEY PUT INTO YOUR VEHICLE THEY DON'T WANT TO WORK WITH YOU THEY DON'T WANT TO REPLACE THE MONEY THAT YOU'VE GIVEN TO THEM AND PLUS ON TOP OF IT MAKE SURE IF YOU ARE PAYING THEM AND CASH YOU ALWAYS GET A RECEIPT BECAUSE THEY LIKE TO PLAY AROUND WITH PEOPLE'S MONEY I WILL NOT OFFER THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY WITH THAT SHALL BE TYPE OF WORK

We had driven down for several weeks from our home in NC in our Ford F-150 truck. Around noon on the Friday before labor day we got in the truck to run some errands and discovered the front passenger door would not latch when closed, the door just swung freely. We called every local Ford dealer only to be told that we could drop off the truck and they "might" be able to diagnose the problem by Tuesday or Wednesday - one said it would be 3 weeks before they could see us despite this obviously being a significant safety issue. We then called Affordable Auto Care - Troy was honest and said if we dropped it off, he would try to get it in that afternoon but couldn't promise as they were very busy. He committed that it would be looked at by Monday (Labor Day) and if possible fixed that day, but that would depend on what parts might be needed and if he could get them on Labor Day. Long story short, a part that he could only get from Ford was needed and they were closed on Monday. Troy got the part first thing Tuesday morning and had our door fixed by noon and all a very reasonable price. Throughout, Troy was calling to keep us updated on the issue, on the need to wait for the Ford to open to get the part. He even had someone waiting at Ford before they opened to get the part as fast as possible. All in all, excellent communication, superior service, and we had our truck fixed before any of the Ford dealers would have even seen it. We highly recommend bringing all of your auto/truck repair needs to Affordable Auto Care!

This Clearwater location has been my go-to repair shop for a couple of years now. I was actively seeking an ASE shop. The service is great, and the prices are fair. They don't try to charge for unnecessary items, and the owner is a standup guy.

This picture speaks for itself. Over $2k spent, vehicle there 3 times for the same issue. Told it’s all set. Get it home to find Gasket Maker smeared on the transmission trying to cover up a leak that was supposedly repaired 3 times! Rear seal that was replaced after the second time they charged me over $1k is also still leaking! DO NOT take your vehicle here for any transmission work! They have no business taking in transmission work!

Warning: If you’re looking for serious auto repair shop, don’t make my mistake to take your vehicle to this shop. My car displayed “check act. Stabi.” I stopped by this morning around 8:30 am. Good morning, I have a message on my dashboard can you check it out? Do you have the tools to diagnose it? Kevin answers: “yes, my tech has 15 years of Lexus experience, he has seen all kinds of codes before.” I left car all day. I got a call around 10:15 am asking, “what was the message on the dashboard” from the tech Jeff, I repeat what they should be able to see by just turning the ignition on. At end of the day at around 4:33pm, I got a call telling that I am all set and he will give me the details when I arrive. I got there at 4:40pm. The charge is $148.73 including supply charge. I am told that I need to take my car to the dealership and they don’t have the computer to find out what needs to be fixed. I asked, the what is the charge for. It is my technician’s time to diagnose. I said but there is no diagnosis because I have to it to the dealership. Anyway, please stay away from this place because of the deceiving nature of Kevin. I paid the money but I wanted to share my story so someone else can benefit from my lesson. Please see the attached receipt and read inspection and diagnosis notes.

This was my first time here as i was far from my usual mechanic when my engine started rapidly overheating. I pulled in here based off some reviews from CarMax and they really helped me out. They were straight to the point and very easy to talk to. They gave me a full diagnosis of what was wrong as well as things that should be addressed in the future. The estimate was fair and they helped me break down what was urgent and what could be done in the coming months to help with spreading out payments. Was very pleased and will definitely return!

I went in to have my cars alternator replaced and they did the RIGHT and TRUSTWORTHY thing by telling me that I was told wrong (by another auto parts employee at a different store) and that nothing was even wrong with my car at all! So, while I can’t tell you if they’re affordable, I can tell you they are just and wonderful at their job. And I hope to be able to write another review one day letting you know how affordable they are when I do need some help with my car. You cannot beat plain good kind quality service. this shop is got some of the best mechanics and people in the area of St.Pete. They are a family run business that takes care of people like you were a daughter or son and actually goes above and beyond to make sure that you're not just getting charged top dollar for repairs even though they do top quality work I have had many many friends that I've sent to have their cars worked on in this area and you can't ask for a better shot with integrity that actually wants to help people. I just wish that they had more mechanics there to do more work because they do get booked out for the Repairs, but it's worth the wait. All I can say is refer your friends and family to this business. It's all good people. It's a small run business like this area was built and more places should be like this instead of these big tire kingdom Midas places that just don't care about the individual just the money go patronize affordable look for the NASCAR car coming out the side of the building. All the people are great people in their family people.

Don’t trust this place. Came in for a regular oil change and of course he offered a free “inspection”. Comes back saying I have over $4K worth of problems. The stupidest being that my tire pressure sensors were broken since the warning light was on. Instead of pumping my air as a common courtesy, he’d rather pull a scam by and add that to his 12 other catastrophic failures happening in my car. What a despicable person. Just because I’m a woman doesn’t mean I don’t know how to go to Wawa and fill up my own tires. What a dumb thing to lie about. Don’t ever come here.

Can't speak highly enough from the dealings that I had with this place. Went to a previously mechanics and they quoted me 2200 for a radiator replacement.Called up and they said come in and they will look and see what they think. They said nothing was wrong with the car and that if they couldn't take my money off me for a issus that is not worth fixing. I was dealing with kevin very nice gentlemen definitely recommend

Going back to my BMW 3 Series, I started going to Affordable Auto over the last 5 years. I just had brake and coolant service on my Mercedes and as usual, fantastic service. No appointment hassles needing to schedule weeks in advance. Service took less time than promised. Great people working there. So, if you have an import and don't want to pay 3-4x more for the same service and avoid the pushy techs at Mercedes or BMW, this is the place.

This company is very unprofessional. They dragged me along for months. They had me go there 3x to fix my power steering wheel (after they "fixed" it the 1st time) but it completed broke and I could've been in an accident as I couldn't even drive the car on the road. THANKFULLY, I wasn't hurt, but they don't care. I explained how terrifying the experience was and Kevin, the owner, is just like whatever type of attitude. And every time I went back to fix it, there was an excuse why it couldn't get fixed. No apologies, no suggestions or solutions. I, myself, had to ask them to pay for my ubers. How do you get the wrong part every time? And these are supposed to be professionals. There's only ONE mechanic. The location is a mess, not even a proper bathroom for customers. Even after all the wait, once it was "completed", I gave it some time to see how the car performed. What a surprise...the steering is still sooo damn stiff. Steering fluid is at the max and it's still hard to make a turn. The steering wheel is practically on my damn lap. It wasn't like that before. It's worse than the prior steering system I had before. I overheard the one mechanic asked the owner, Kevin, a question about a quote for a customer, he says verbatim "Overcharge and underdeliver" . WHAT?!!! Terrible experience! Never again. Rather go to Firestone! I wish there was a 0 star rating.
