I am fairly new to the island so it took me a little while to find a good mechanic. I have Finally found a good shop. The customer service is outstanding. They are truthful and honest about what maintenance really needs to be done, and they are fairly priced. I would recommend Automotive car care center of Hawaii to any friend who need a good honest mechanic. Five stars!!!!!

My experience here has been the best automotive repair experience I've ever had. Although I missed my scheduled appointment, they saw me as soon as they could and had my A/C running cool in about 2 hours. I have a 15 year old car and I expected to have to wait for a part for my A/C to come in, but they had that part sitting around. Very clean, very friendly, very reasonably priced options, and very skilled mechanics. I will, without a doubt, be coming back here.

Great service! My alternator died and they had it up and running in less than a day. The shop snapped some old plastic on the radiator (which was going anyway) and replaced it at no cost. They also took my car next door to get the safety inspection done since they didn’t offer the service themselves. Roy and his wife were incredibly nice. Best experience I’ve had not just on island, but anywhere. Highly recommend.

I had some power issues. They send me a text listing the problem. When I get on the phone with the mechanic to ask more about it, he was very impatient and rude. He just the work I had done to my car was very poor. Disappointed because I spend 160 to get it inspected and just got insulted. They never told me if my oil pressure was good when asked. I don’t think they even drove it. Not only upset with the diagnostic because it wasn’t thorough. I’m mainly upset with how they treated a paying customer. Will never be back here despite the good reviews. Also a man came in while I was in there talking about how he got a simple oil change and it was leaking afterwords. Even if I was to get my car serviced there, I would never trust a company that couldn’t do an oil change properly.

Great work. My honda maintenance minder said I needed an automatic fluid exchange but I did it only 10000 miles ago. I told them my maintenance minder said I needed it and they looked at the fluid and said it still looks good and recommended no change at this time. To me know this shows they are trustworthy.

Excellent service! Both Roy & Laura were very nice to me and explained what they did to fix my car. The turnaround time was fast and their receipt was detailed. I would certainly recommend Automotive Car Care Center to my friends and I will definitely come back if I have other problems with any of my cars.

Auto Car Care is wonderful!! After taking my vehicle for a tire rotation and inspection at Firestone on Schofield Barracks, my dashboard began lighting up like a Christmas tree indicating my four wheel drive was disabled, hill assist start was disabled, my ABS wasn’t working, and my traction control was disabled. Because of the warnings, my vehicle shut itself down while I was driving my children to school. It was terrifying. I called Auto Car Care and Roy, the owner, answered immediately. He was kind, patient, and concerned and told me I could bring my vehicle in straight away. I was in and out of the shop within 90 minutes after Roy discovered several sensors on my tires were misaligned…likely due to my recent brake check and tire rotation. They fixed it immediately, we’re incredibly kind, and sent me on my way with a guarantee that I can come back if I have issues with the sensors in the future. This was the first vehicle repair shop where I have get comfortable and not as though I was being taken advantage of. His wife also works there, and she is an absolute delight. I’ll be referring anyone and everyone to Auto Care Center!

My car suddenly and unexpectedly wouldn’t start. Thinking that it must be the battery, I jump started it and took it to an auto parts store where the friendly salesman checked the battery system. His equipment showed the battery being okay but the alternator was faulty. I called Auto Care Center since I had gone there before. Unknown to me, they now have a new owner so I was initially uncertain. I decided to go ahead and have them do the repairs after explaining the car problem. I was given a quote for the complete job. I received a call a couple hours later explaining that their check showed the alternator to be okay but a couple of the belts were cracked (the car is 20 years old). I told them to replace the belts. An unscrupulous shop would have replaced the alternator (I’m not a mechanic nor do I have the system check equipment) but this new owner was up and up and conveyed the honest parts status. I will unhesitatingly use Auto Care Center in the future.

Had an emergency fix to my vehicle and was able to grab an appointment from this establishment easily. They took my call on Thursday and had me in Friday morning - they were polite and prompt with my services. I even had them take a look at a Cat shield I had professionally installed by another local company, it was making a loud rattling noise - they troubled-shooted and fixed the noise. Some repair shops aren't friendly nor do you feel welcome - this one was different. As a guy, I know enough about my vehicle to understand what NEEDS to be fixed and what can fixed later. They didn't force upon any "additional" fixes and they had reasonable prices. I definitely will be coming back for my automotive repair needs and will also refer them as well. In fact, I was referred to them from a close friend of mine. Great business, great communication, and great service - go support local.

I would like to start off with saying, this place provides Excellent customer service! On 5/4/23, I needed the battery to be replaced in my 4Runner and I was able to make a same day appointment via online. Upon arrival, the check in was completed quickly… The technician ran a diagnostic test that confirmed the battery needed to be replaced. He replaced the battery and confirmed that even had been completed. The wait was minimal… customer service was excellent! On 5/8/23, I called the shop and Roy answered, I explained to him that my truck was still hesitating before it would actually start up. He told me to come back and that he would take a look it for me. Once again, when I arrived I was greeted happily by Laura. Roy immediately started running additional diagnostic tests to see why there was hesitation…. He would go over the results with me, in detail and examples. After one of the tests, the codes were showing issues with my key… the technician inquired if I had the original key with me, I told him, no that it was at home. He told me when I got to switch the keys and to test it for a few days and that if it was still hesitating to come back. I did exactly what he said and the truck starts up without any issues! I called to let them know and to thank them! As I stated in my previous review, I will be recommending this place to everyone! Mahalo for everything!! Z. Bailey

I was happy to know my vehicle was serviced well. The customer service was great, very respectful and attentive towards your concerns. I was given a quick turnaround and my vehicle is working great. If i could give them zero stars i would. I brought my car to them on Friday and they never called me to tell me what’s wrong with my car. They said someone was going to call me back on Monday I never got a call. I had to go up to the place and the front desk person acted shocked that no one called me back. I was told that they can’t fix my car cause it’s an engine problem and that’s why my car was shaking also. Which they lied cause I took my car to another shop and I was told the reason my car was shaking was of a tire. The reason my engine light was on was cause my car system needed to be updated. This place have some lazy workers. From Friday til Tuesday no one answered the phones and i couldn’t get anyone to tell me what was wrong with my car. My thoughts they never even checked my car to see what was wrong it. It’s just sad how people treat outsiders.

Although the Automotive Car Care Center (ACCC) staff has throughly checked my engine and weren’t able to find a problem, they were concerned & recommended another agency who specializes in brake & engine to do further testing. The ACCC did not charge for the initial testing & has shown honest customer services.

Very friendly and helpful staff. While the shop was doing a minor repair they did take took a little longer then expected for an analysis of my car systems, the longer time was so they could perform a thorough inspection and was able to confirm there were no other issues with my car. I am very pleased with how meticulous the shop was making sure there were no problems with my car

Found out today has new owners. But I glad they kept everything in system.. Lady's were very nice Jen has a lot of knowledge as she told me where she used to work and how long. That is the key when owning a business she knows things very well. Fixed what need to be fixed along getting oil change and safety check done. I'm glad for the good service. Super impressed with their customer service, efficiency, skill, and relative affordability. I found out when getting an oil change elsewhere that I needed to replace my radiator immediately. I came across Automotive Car Care Center in a search for nearby places that could replace the radiator. I called and Jen was both friendly and knowledgeable. She was able to get my car in almost immediately, and gave me an accurate estimate of the cost, which was on the lower side of the average range to replace a radiator, per Google. She said they could likely get the work done by 4 pm at the latest (it was 10:30 am when I drove over there). Jen called me just after 1 pm to say the work was done and I was able to pick the car up, hours before I had thought. The car is running great and I am absolutely satisfied. The mechanic appears to even have fixed a squealing belt I had, at no extra charge. I will definitely contact them again for any future issues with my now 16-year old car. Mahalo to everyone there!

Roy is not the owner of this shop anymore and it shows! I am beyond frustrated and disappointed with my experience at Automotive car center of Hawaii. I entrusted them with my car for service, and when I picked it up, I discovered that my vehicle had been broken into while it was in their care. Personal belongings were stolen. When I contacted the shop, their response was less than helpful and they seemed to downplay the situation. I had expected much more accountability and professionalism from a business that I trusted with my property. In addition to this serious issue, the overall service was subpar. The repair work itself wasn’t completed properly and my service engine light is still on. It’s incredibly disheartening to see such a lack of responsibility, especially when it comes to something as serious as a break-in. I will never return to Automotive car center of Hawaii, and I strongly advise others to think twice before leaving their vehicles there. This experience has been a nightmare.
