A miserable experience. The installation process was fine but the system began failing 2 years later. They charged me over $1k for repair costs but failed to repair anything. Customer service is a total nightmare. They were unapologetically dishonest, incompetent and unprofessional.

I live at the St Regis in Rye. Their customer service was awful and many of my neighbors who used them had very similar experiences. Do NOT use them unless you want a major headache.

This company has a stunning lack of customer service. They could not care less. Unresponsive, missed appointments. They should be avoided at all costs.

Our office and warehouse (14000 sq ft) needed a new security alarm and access system. After calling 4 companies, they were the fastest to respond and seemed to be the most experienced. We then added 18 new cameras plus occupancy sensors and new lighting controls. They took time to explain all options and we went with Lutron and Honeywell. The work was done very neatly and without disrupting our work or staff. We highly recommend AV Design.

These guys are the worst. Left holes in ceiling. Did not complete anything they were paid to do. Real rip off. Especially owner.

Before agreeing to purchase anything from them, I would get a second opinion and research the actual dealer cost of the materials for your project. In addition to charging close to $20,000 in labor to basically put speakers in every room in a Manhattan apt and a projector and projector screen (for the projector they told me I needed to pay a separate contractor several thousand dollars for its installation) , mike and his staff also mark up the cost of the materials tremendously. For example, he tried to charge me $17500 for a SIM2 projector. The MSRP is $15500. I was willing to pay MSRP. I further researched the dealer cost of the projector and it was $10000. Mike thus was trying to make $7500 in markup on this one item in addition to marking up all the speakers (by over 40%) and other items. I then told him I would purchase the projector myself. He then went to add over $8000 to our agreed upon contract out of spite. He then made up fake labor hours (my building keeps track of hours every time someone enters my apt) and plagurized a design plan another vendor made and tried to keep thousands of dollars from the deposit that I already paid him. I am thus pursuing litigation and filed a complaint with the better business bureau. Buyers beware!
