I learned about Frank and Avenue Automotive from my father who has been a customer for years. Now my boyfriend and I both call him for all our mechanic needs. He is kind, honest and knows his stuff!! Recently, I had an issue with my air conditioner/heater and he not only took a look right away, when he found nothing wrong (ie: user error ;) he said he didn't feel right charging me and instead asked for a donation to a food bank during this trying time (Covid-19). I did so under his name. Thanks Frank!! You are the best!!

Frank Sr. rebuilt my transmission on my Crown Victoria. It was in bad shape from the other mechanics who tried fixing it. He retapped threads in the oil pan, replaced the main seal, helped with my reverse lights, the whole works. Need more guys like Frank Sr and Jr around. Honest, friendly, reliable, fair price!

Seriously the most honest and trustworthy mechanic in the area. I scheduled an appointment my beater to fix a broken O2 censor and we were finished in about an hour. Really phenomenal service ... not a place you will get hosed (literally and figuratively). We had a breakdown in my parking lot but had a tour in Milwaukee that we had booked long ago. The owner handled getting the car towed in, diagnosed and serviced all in one day! My parents had to get back to Chicago that night so to have it done AND not be held hostage for exorbitant prices was just incredible! Will definitely get our business in the future (though hope we will not need to visit often)!!!

Frank and his team are the only guys I trust with my car. For 2 years I dealt with multiple shops in town, and spent a couple grand on unnecessary repairs to figure out why my car smelled like coolant and was overheating. He was the one who found the leak everyone else claimed didn't exist, and fixed it on the first try, and it was not crazy expensive. Ever since, I've been taking my car to him any time I think something's wrong or my code reader tells me I have an issue, and he can always get the job done. He keeps me rolling safe with my family, and he's just generally a good honest guy. The only shop I recommend!
