He only buys oem parts. He's straight up on what's wrong and will let you know before he buys anything for your vehicle.

Came one day to ask about options on how to fix a problem I was having. He said: "I won't tell you how is done, bring it, and I'll fix it". Seem somewhat rude, but I figured maybe is just his personality or he has been burned before. I called the next week and spoke to one of his employees, his employee confirmed for me to come the next day at 8am. I showed up the next day and he said: "I can't do it now, call me later, should had called back and asked for me" Im taking my business elsewhere.

I just got my Jeep back after new axles, brakes, front and rear lockers, carb, new a/c system and a complete tune up. There work was very high quality and a fair price. I am very impressed.

I cleaned the Throttle Body on my 2010 Avalanche... and had a very high idle (3500 RPM). The PCM would not relearn the correct idle position on it's own. Not only was Brett able to correct this he did it in less than 5 mins with his computer. Great customer service by Kelly and Brett all around. Completely blown away! Thank You!

I was told of B&K when I needed work on a vehicle 5 years ago and have been going there ever since. It's a family owned, small business that does excellent work in a timely manner. In this day and age, it's rare to find.

I took my car in due to it stalling and the check engine light was lit. Brett diagnosed what he thought was the problem and quoted me around $300, so I told him to fix it. He had the car for a week and called me and said it was ready. I went in and paid for the service before checking to make sure it was done properly. Big mistake. I got in the car and noticed immediately the check engine light was still on but I assumed that was just a casual error on his part. Second mistake. I drove the car home, then to Lowe's and the stalling issue happened again. I called Brett and he said to bring it back and he would make sure it was fixed properly and to not worry about any additional charges. I brought the car back and he had it for another whole week before calling me and telling me it would be an additional $545 to fix what was actually wrong with the car. At this point I lost all faith in his honesty and ability to do quality service. I came and picked up the car and took it elsewhere. I spoke with the person who recommended B&K and he was used to dealing with Kevin, who has since moved on, and this person has also had issues with Brett not doing as promised since Kevin left. My recommendation: Go elsewhere for good service work.

Mine is a long story that literally proves how honest Brett is... In the end, after a lot of head scratching (NOT his fault!), we finally figured out what was going on. The price was very fair... and he fixed it in no time! I know... from growing up with a mechanic dad.... sometimes the problem takes a minute to solve. They aren't magicians! But Brett was skilled, willing to look at multiple options... and gave me the best advice possible. This ended up saving me a LOT of money! He didn't try to over sell... even though I know my Jeep needs some more work!!! And I'll be going back to B & K when I'm ready to do those things!

Chose this place because of the reviews and overall “positive experiences.” Unfortunately I got the total opposite. Brought my vehicle here with a P0300 random misfire code. This guy called me the next day and told me I needed a new engine (about $10,000). I asked him what he found, he told me “I found that it needs a new engine” When I asked more in depth questions, he said (with an attitude) my engine was low on compression on two cylinders, cylinders #1 and #3. He also said he would only charge me half an hour for the diag time and that he just happens to buy cars like this and that he could give me $500 for my “broken vehicle” and he would waive the diag charge. When I went to pick up the vehicle I asked again what cylinders were low and this time he told me 1, 3, and 5. He only charged me for 30min of diag time and came up with this ridiculous conclusion. Performed compression test and the lowest cylinder was 165psi (that’s pretty darn good) ended up having a bad ground on my driver side coil packs that was causing a random misfire on that side. This guy really tried to buffalo me and that really sucks. He’s a mechanic not a technician. He picks and chooses what he wants to work on and the things he doesn’t want to bother with, he diags like this. Find someone else, it’s hard to find honest shops, but I can tell you based on my personal experience here, this place is not honest. Don’t waste your time here. If you decide to go here and he says you need an engine or transmission, do yourself a favor and get a second opinion. It may save you $10,000.

Hands down, I would refer this place to everyone. I know I might be fixing cars in people's eyes that well, it depends how you look at it. We're the cars I bought maintained before I bought them? No. But Brett has been real and transparent. But with some TLC to all of our vehicles, they'll take care of you. The car and this mechanic. (Mine, he has 2 of them there) Anywho, thank you guys for all you have done so far for each vehicle.
