Unfortunately, I had the worst experience ever! I was there to get my tire checked to see what's wrong with it. The guy did not even give me the time to explain the situation, and he literally to told me that "We ain't a gas station". What customer service is that? teach your guys how to perform their job in a professional way please.

My vehicle have been sitting for a month. Mr Ballard kept telling me the parts cost too much, I'll see what I can do then after a month it went from , it cost too much to fix to you should buy a new car. Never once did he say I can't fix your car but he kept telling me he'll see what he can do, I drove pass several times to check and see if he made any attempt to fix my car only to find my car in the same parking spot it has been since July 9th. I took my vehicle to be serviced before and Mr Ballard would call me and let me know the status of my vehicle and when to pick it up. This particular time it was no call, no contact! I had to keep coming to the shop to check and see what was going on only to be told it cost too much to fix. I called my insurance company to have my car towed to another shop who is working o my car as we speak WITHOUT hesitation!

We’ve used many auto mechanics and no one compares to the professionalism they showed and best of all honesty. Mike was very helpful with details of their findings. We’ve sent three of our vehicles and were pleased with all this far. It always feels good to leave an auto shop without wondering if we got got!!! They made sure we did not spend on unnecessary Repairs after our so called trusted auto shop (Lanham area 😒) told us we needed to spend close to a 1k but only needed a new gas cap. Same conclusions with the other vehicles. Thank you god from saving us from paying someone’s mortgage!

I have been coming to Ballard Foreign Car Repair for the last year since New ownership has taken place. Mike is very nice and explains the problem with the car and gives his expert opinion on how to resolve the issue and how much it will cost before any work is performed. He also has another location, Turnpike Auto, in Alexandria in which I have been patronizing for over 20 years and his establishment is the only mechanical shop I will take my vehicles for service.

I am a patron of this auto repair location for over 15 years, under ownership of Mr. Ballard, the business namesake. The shop is under new ownership and management now (Mr Ballard retired) since 2017, foreign car repair work is still good and done fairly quickly under the new owner(s), however estimates of necessary (?) work and job prices went up significantly, and Mr Ballard and his personal familiarity and attention to the customer is gone, unfortunately. Mr. Ballard did not try to upsell, or suggest unnecessary or early auto repair work for more money, which made his shop a figurative gem amongst the rubble, when he was there!

Sung and crew are what is missing when dealing with dealerships and national chains. While trying to figure out what was really wrong with my car, they took the time to try/suggest multiple alternatives before recommending full service. Ultimately, I needed the repair, and they were able to knock it out and get me back on the road for a decent price.

Mr Ballard is an honest business owner and the mechanics do EXCELLENT work. I have been to him several times with all the cars myself and my children drive and each time have been treated with respect. Always fair prices and each time has done the work under estimate.
