I have been back 2 more times for various work and they are great every time! Thanks Mike and Shawn! What can I say about a shop that I took a vehicle to that was sitting for 3 plus years? First the tow truck driver Joe was awesome and very friendly. They had a lot to do, starting with the entire braking system being replaced, including 4 new tires. The fuel pump also had to be replaced. Not to mention all of this on a 30 year old truck and the amount of rust they had to work around. We figured it would be a couple weeks of work, and they had it finished in two days! Extra special shout out to Mike behind the counter for all of his help. Kudos to all the mechanics for their hard and diligent work.

Our car had very bad road noise and they clearly identified as coming from a worn off hob from the rear right wheel. They also identified other parts that had served their useful life on a car that is 11 years old. Accordingly we had them changed and resolved the issue. The price was reasonable and I believed in their workmanship because the fix came with a 3 year warranty on the new installation. Who would give such a warranty unless they paid much attention in installing properly in the first place

Initially I was very happy with the fast friendly service, when I noticed my lower fog light on my frontier had fallen out a few days after receiving service, I thought hey I'll just take it back to them and they can probably pop that back in for me. Boy was I wrong, first they informed me it was like that when it came in and when I said I was told they needed to remove the front grill for my repair I was told oh no, they just had to reach up behind it. I was charged for the time to remove the grill though. I was then told it would take a couple hours in order to fix at which point I said ok I'll just take it home and do it myself, thanks anyway. I got it home and after wasting 30 minutes removing things I didn't need to I found only 3 screws needed to be removed to pull out the inside fender well and one clip replaced to resecure the fog light. Now I'm questioning how they missed the fog light missing on the free inspection report but knew it was like that when it came in. I guess in the future I can just do repairs myself and save myself the money.

I brought my 2003 Honda CR-V to Ben Nielsen’s Charles County Automotive for a general check. The free inspection was appreciated, but the repair recommendations that followed were concerning. They quoted $214.13 for spark plugs alone, even though quality plugs for this car cost about $16 online. Even worse, they recommended replacing the rear wheel bearings for over $2,100. A second mechanic later confirmed there is nothing wrong with the wheel bearings. The large price discrepancies and unnecessary repair suggestions seriously hurt my confidence in their estimates. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any major work here.

Jeff was awesome 👌. Did a great job with my car service . I took my car back to get my windshield washer fluid filled up, he took care of it right away. He also took time to top of my other fluid and check my tire pressure. He was very friendly.

I know I got on these guys nerves because I was stressing so much cuz it's my first time having my vehicle down this long and I've never missed work for 7 years or I have never been late. But these guys are awesome. They they work with me and they did an awesome job. They are my now new mechanic family plus they're in the neighborhood so why wouldn't I support them. As promised I got one more oil with the Dodge dealership in Waldorf. Then I will start getting my oil changes and other maintenance through Charles county automotive.

I dont know if management changed. But this shop is not what it once was. I brought my suv in this week after getting a jump so that they can recheck the battery and alternator and I would like to get my brakes done. Drop it off at 8am. 940 am I receive a message with details of recommendations and findings. On the list was an oil change, cabin air filter, coolant. Now my issue is this shop did my oil change 4 weeks ago, coolant and I changed my air filtrr the same week. My truck sat for 3 weeks because I was out of the country. The gentleman apologized and said he went based iff of records. Then I stated that what you are telling ne is you cant find my recent records from a month ago and that even though your recommendations are suppose to be based on what you see currently during inspection you randomly recommend things. Not only that they send photos which clearly showed a clean filter and clean oil. I asked for the price brakes and rotors and he told me $1100 for the front. Now my quote 6 mths ago was $500. They also told me after having my car for a few hrs the car would need to stay overnight for an accurate battery test. Something that ahoukd have been said when I made the appt since it was my main concern. Needless to say I picked up my vehicle and took it to Honda. The battery was replaced and brakes and rotors were $600 but i only needed them resurfaced so $390 with first responder discount. A fraction of the price. While the location is convenient and the staff are friendly. They are inconsistent, late and untrustworthy

I was referred to this establishment by a friend a few years ago as I wanted to "avoid" the dealership as my vehicle was nearly 20 years old. I very much appreciated the referral as the customer service and services performed is always great. They always listened to my concerns, explained matters, and provided their recommendations on how to proceed. My 2004 4Runner needed a lot of work but "she" is purring like a kitten now! I been bringing my 2001 Ford Taurus to Charles County Automotive since I became the owner in 2024. It’s an older vehicle with really great of mileage. I love my car and take great pride in it. Ever since I been a customer, They have ALWAYS given TOP TIER Class Service!! Everyone is Professional, Nice and go the extra mile! They do great repairs and are highly recommended by me! Today I had a blinker light out, i stopped by for help. When done, I was expecting to pay, Nope they said don’t worry about it, it’s on us!! Like I said, TOP TIER ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service!
