BEST SERVICE!, my BMW needed a new fuel pump and new injectors i no longer had my warranty and i took it to Bergen imports. I was educated on what will be the best option for my repairs. I was able to have my car fixed for a better price than i was quoted by BMW! If you live close by this is the best place to get your German car repaired. Thank you guys!

Pleasing experience. Unfortunately, my car was hit while I was at work. I researched some repair shops and noticed this one had some good reviews. From the moment I walked in, Helen explained the repair assessment process from insurance carriers. She took it upon herself to call both insurance plans and seek estimates. The car was finish by promised date. The day I went to pick up my car, Elias said I can leave rental and that they would handle returning it. I gave my car a quick look around, car looked beautiful. Then, inside they had even detailed the car, it was immaculate. Great Job.

I moved to New Jersey from Toronto Canada and at first was bringing my 2006 Cayenne to Porsche dealership until I found a place to get serviced. I found them on Google as they are close to my place. I can compare them with my service center I used in Toronto as well as the Toronto Porsche service center and the NJ service center. I also want to say I had existing issues with my car that all previous service centers could not fix which was some studdering of the engine related to misfiring. I own a computer company and my knowledge of cars is limited but I know that once they gave it back to me, not only were they half the price quoted by Porsche (and I didn't tell them what Porsche wanted to charge me, which obviously is always too high), but the issues with my car have been fixed, the car is running better than it has in the last 3 years (Ive owned this car since 2006). Harry (who I dealt with mostly) explained what he thought I should fix and what he felt I could leave for later and I took his advice. I am definitely going back to them again. I have no idea what the other person is talking about who gave them a negative review. I was just there 2 weeks ago. I rarely write reviews, this might be my third ever, but I just wanted to say they were great. Hopefully my next visits to them will all be like this experience.

Harry and his crew are the best! They have serviced, repaired, maintained, and inspected all of my 5 vehicles for the last 13 years. They completely restored a 1987 Porsche 944 that was in very bad shape within 3 months; that I am still driving to this day. They are the best!

I usually don’t write reviews but this shop deserves to be known and not exactly for their work quality. I truly don’t understand how they can have such a high reviews (I can imagine, but…). I will just say that they did an awful job on my car. It took them more them two months to “change” pieces on my car, they charged me 180 per hour, more than 3k in total (calipers that were changed before to be informed of the price, they leave the battery connected for more than two months and I had to pay a new one…I guess that an invented gasket head cover default…a disaster) and sincerely I don’t even trust they did something. I was told that my car has an ABS issue and the ABS must be changed. The estimation: 4,5k (after charging on me more than 3k as I said). I was shocked. I owned a lot of cars and I never heard of such an expensive default (not even the transmission). Well, I was thinking that maybe they were right and I have thought about returning maybe in a few months. However, for some reason I can’t explain, I didn’t quite trust them so I went to the dealer (VW in my case). They changed my convertible switch (when the car went to Bergen Imports, the convertible ran perfectly. When the car left their shop, it no longer run, so quite strange.). The switch price:180$. They checked the ABS, connected back, released the car computer, and surprise: everything goes perfect. I asked them for the ABS control module price: 1700$ approx (BTW they told me that no VW car piece costs 4500$). The dealer (VW) did some other works like: parts of the upholstery that have been glued, they cleaned the car from top to bottom, and the total price of all repairs (diagnosis included and computer release, pieces and mechanic work) : 570$. Since I don’t trust if Bergen Imports really did repairs on my car, I asked the dealer to review the calipers they said they changed and the head gasket cover, I asked them to change the oil again and filters… I am sure that whatever would be repairs the dealer will not charge me as much as these thieves. So, if you really want a good car shop, these are not the guys, believe me, don’t matter what their website said. They actually don’t like cars they like your money. The reviews you see here, must be written by family and friend otherwise doesn’t make sense. Nobody on their right minds would let them touch their car. I am disgusted and disappointed. I don’t understand how someone can be so mean to deceive someone else like that. This was my experience and I hope to sirve other people not to be scammed, but if you want to be scammed, feel free to try it yourself.

A careless shop with no attention to detail like others have mentioned. First time was when I made an APPOINTMENT and dropped off my Mercedes for an oil change and told Steven I would be waiting on it. Came back an hour later to the oil change not being done and him saying he didn't know. Wasted 2 hours for an oil change. Decided to give them another chance when I got into a fender bender and needed minor work done on front bumper and a new headlight. This took them TWO MONTHS. Finally got the car back to an Unaligned Headlight Beam on the one they replaced, Misaligned Hood, and to top it off a BOLT MISSING from the Left Front Rim and Right Front Rim. I found one under my driver seat and the other in the door pocket. Great job guys!

Buying a used Porsche Panamera GTS from Palisades Park and needed a professional shop to do a Pre Purchase Inspection. Called Steven and he was the ultimate professional. Always picking up the phone(several times) and answering every question. Was trying to make the purchase quickly and he was kind enough to fit me and the seller in for a last minute PPI to facilitate a quick and easy sell(on a busy Friday with 1 hours notice) - that's service. Report was thorough, pictures to accommodate findings, and he even went over the various talking points on yet another call to him. His pricing was great, his communication was awesome. It's hard to find a shop with the level of professionalism, friendliness and care for both the vehicles and its clients. Would give 5+ stars if I could.

Truly outstanding. Helen is amazing. Clearly communicated everything about the process and kept me posted every step of the way. The work was incredible. Far exceeded my expectations from body shops I have used in the past. My car was returned literally as good as new, in immaculate condition on the outside and even valeted on the inside. Also - the office was surprisingly easy to get to from the city! The 159R bus from Port Authority stops 2 mins walk away. Highly recommended. Thanks so much!

Clueless and overpriced; they charged 200+ for diagnostics and did not find anything even tho i told them exactly whats needs to fixed, kept saying they have never seen a problem like this before ... I asked for a diagnostic print out and they said they didn't have a printout of obd report. Basically they just want a diagnostic fee even if you tell the exactly what's wrong. Then i just went down the st and the mechanic fixed the issue for $50 without any nonesense in 10 min. These guys are incompetent in my opinion!!!

Alright, so I recently had Steven at Bergen Imports do a timing job on my Mercedes, and I've gotta say, I'm super impressed. From the start, he was straight up about what needed to be done and kept me in the loop the whole time. Now, my car's running smoother than ever – seriously, it's like a new ride. If you're picky about who works on your car, especially if it's a higher-end make like mine, I can't recommend Steven enough. He knows his stuff and does top-notch work. Will be bringing my car here for any work moving forward.
