Matt and the team saved our bacon today! We are in from Mississippi and had a check engine light come on and start flashing. The engine was shaking and we were not going any further. They worked our car into a busy schedule. They diagnosed it and repaired it and had us back on the road on the same day!! They were incredibly helpful, kind and terrific communicators! Went in for a safety and emissions inspection and they did not dissapoint! I had to move my appointment last minute and they were super accommodating. They were efficient and Dustin was super friendly while I waited. My car had a couple issues (they filled up my tires for free, which was awesome), but my car still passed the inspection and I didn't feel pressured to get anything fixed on the spot. These guys really know what they're doing and care that you get the best quality service on your car. If you need anything done on your car, don't hesitate to come here!

Appointments are easy to book; they are busy but efficient, so appointments were less than a week out. Service is done quickly and communication is great. I have had my vehicle in the shop on two separate occasions. The inspection was great and included pictures! They didn’t try to talk me into anything I didn’t need or want. I called Big Bend Auto Center to get an estimate for a brake job—what a frustrating experience. First off, they don’t give estimates over the phone, which is fair. So, I scheduled an appointment for Thursday. However, the person I spoke with had a really unpleasant attitude. He kept questioning whether I had the right place, repeating, “We’re Big Bend Auto Center, not the other Big Bend Auto store.” Why would I be calling if I wasn’t sure? It came off as condescending. Then he told me I couldn’t wait for my car, and when I asked again—just to clarify if I could wait while they did the estimate—he rudely said no. At that point, I decided to take my business elsewhere. If you can’t treat your customers with basic respect, why would I trust you with my car? It’s disappointing, especially since they have decent reviews on Yelp and Google. I expected better. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite.

I had unexpected issues with my break fluid late in the evening so I did a night drop off. I received a call the next day with updates and an estimate for the repairs. I was expecting to have to wait a couple of days, to be honest, since I didn’t have an appointment. By the evening the following day my car was finished. Everyone employee was friendly and knowledgeable. The cost of my repairs were very reasonable. I am a return customer and will continue to take my car to Big Bend Auto Center in the future.

I brought my car in for an A/C inspection and was told the blend door needed replacement. Later, I called to see if I could pick up the car to drive it for the week. Instead of a straightforward answer, I was met with an angry, unprofessional tone — and I responded in kind. I don’t tolerate rude behavior. This event was surprising to me with the amount of positive reviews they have. I explained I hadn’t responded to their quote because I was in a meeting, but the situation escalated until I was told to just “come get my car.” What I didn’t realize was the car was left disassembled. I would have been fine leaving it there if it had been communicated respectfully. Instead, the conversation turned defensive, capped with the statement: “you don’t want me to raise my voice at you.” If I ever spoke to a client like that in my business, I’d expect them to push back — and I’d know I was wrong. Professional service means owning mistakes, not doubling down on them. Upon arriving at the shop, I was notified that the car in fact did not need to be reassembled.

I can’t recommend Big Bend Auto Center enough. Mike and his team went above and beyond when my 2013 Honda Fit had a serious engine issue. It was a tricky fix, but Mike took the time to explain everything clearly and laid out all my repair options without pressure or upselling. Not to mention when I’d first taken my car there for a routine inspection, they discovered a loose battery and tightened it for me. Then when the car failed, Mike worked with me and advised me until we got it to pass! Big Bend Auto Center is seriously the best! Huge thank you again to everyone there!

I came in for a rear brake issue. While the mechanical work on the brakes seems fine, the customer service regarding their other recommendations was disappointing. They flagged an exhaust leak-noting 'FLEW PIPE IS BUSTED' in the inspection report-and immediately quoted me nearly $1,000 to replace the entire rear catalytic converter assembly. When I called to ask for clarification on the price and the risk, the man on the phone was impatient, condescending, and rushed me off the line. He used what felt like scare tactics, claiming that 'banging' on the rusty parts could lead to replacing the entire exhaust system for $1,600+. I declined the exhaust service because replacing a good converter for a broken flex pipe mesh felt like an unnecessary upsell, and I didn't appreciate the pressure or the attitude when I simply tried to ask questions. I authorized the brakes via their text link just to avoid dealing with them on the phone again. The work gets done, but double-check their quotes and don't let them rush you.
