Tommy and the service team took great care of my vehicle. I have been a loyal customer now of Boston Volvo for 15 years.

I've had to bring my car back to their service department several times for suspension repairs. However, I appreciate their patience and they were willing to refund me for an alignment that didn't last for very long.

Service charges include all the repairs, personal services, etc with certain standards, especially from luxury brands like Volvo. Volvo is not a cheap brand but this center provides cheap+low level of service. The assistant should never hang up on customer while that person is speaking on the phone.

This service center is never punctual. I have to go on weekdays because it is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. However, because it closes too early on weekdays, office workers who need the service can only get the service if they use a vacation on weekdays. I've been served here many times. They said it will take one hour, but it took 4 hours. The other service, which was already scheduled, was postponed twice a day ago. Every time I go, every hour or every 30 min., I ask when my car is finished, but they just answer 'We are doing it', and they don't care about my time. even though the service has already been completed and the car is in front of me, but he doesn't let me know that the service has been completed. The staff here are really lazy, and most seem to be sitting around chatting with each other and taking money from Volvo.

Tony went above and beyond to ensure our vehicle was available to us to pick up after hours, last-minute, with a one-day turn-around, ahead of a long roadtrip. I appreciate his attentiveness and for Boston Volvo's Service department getting us in quickly to resolve a check engine light on very short notice.

These people are thieves! We took our old 2002 Volvo wagon here for some repairs, and the guy talked us into doing an overall that cost us $8000 plus, and convinced us that it will be good. Within a week a light bulb wont work, which they repaired, and in a month the AC went out. They said they were checking everything! We took the car back to them, and of course they charged us again for the bulb replacement which was part of their $8000 repair a month ago, and asked for $1400 for AC repair. When we said no, they charged us $420 dollars anyway! what a rip off! A local place repaired it for $595, and it works great. Worst is, their customer service sucks! the guy who helped me completely ignored me, and kept telling me to say thanks to my husband (mentioning his name), and that they appreciate his business, while i am (hell, want to use the curse word here) paying the bill with my own credit card! If you have money to throw away, and get a substandard service, by all means go here.

Wendy Wells did a great job handling my check-in and follow up, as well as delivering back a well-maintained car. Manny is so amazingly knowledgeable about all things Volvo and so positive. It's truly helpful. Because of her keen competence, Kathy upstairs (on the sales floor) is why I have managed to buy my last two cars at Village Volvo. The personal attention and patience of the staff is golden. Thank you!!

The team at Boston Volvo was so helpful when I stopped by recently with a pretty unique request. I was in Boston for client meetings and my windshield washer fluid ran out. When I tried to pop the hood, it wouldn’t open so I was stuck with a three-hour drive ahead. I figured that I would stop by the Service department as I was in the area. When I arrived, I talked to a woman at the Sales desk who made a call down to the Service Manager and he said to pull the car into the service bay and his team would take a look. Four different mechanics surveyed the situation and they ultimately concluded that the hood catch was not opening all the way and they were able to get it open. On top of that, they filled the washer fluid up for me and all of this was done for no charge! Needless to say, I highly recommend the team at Boston Volvo and want to commend them on their high level of service and willingness to help!

Your experience will totally depend on the representative you get. My first few visits would have been 5 stars. My last visit would be 0 stars if Google would allow that. When you get someone who is pleasant to deal with, thorough and communicative the experience is great. When its not that, they don't follow up when they say they will, you don't get updates on the status of your car unless you keep asking, they don't even know if your car is under warranty when you purchased the warranty from them, and I could go on. In the end they didn't even address the single issue my service appointment was scheduled for. So, I now have to schedule another service appointment to get it fixed. I will not be going back to this location for future service for my XC60, despite how happy I was with previous visits. And they ask for feedback after your visit but when you leave negative feedback they don't even try to follow up to remedy the situation or to learn from how poor the experience was for the customer.

This location has extremely inconsiderate personnel for blasting car alarms to find cars in their small lot. It goes off every 15-20 minutes every day starting as early as 7:30 am in a residential neighborhood. The alarms can easily go on for few minutes. I would imagine there’s a much easier and organized solution to find cars in their lot. No wonder this service department already had 3 stars before my review. How can you trust these guys to repair your car if these low IQ managers can’t even get their team to find cars without disturbing everyone around? This will never happen at a Porsche service department. What a joke! P.s it’s been ongoing for years apparently.

Volvo cars are expensive to maintain. simple. Receiving good to excellent maintenance service helps soothing the pain of the cost. My front guy at the service department, Carlos Castañeda, was outstanding. Professional, courteous, understanding of my frustration with an elusive engine noise issue. The issue was solved and I was compensated for part of the cost due to prior visits about the issue. Carlos helped me regain trust with the service department. He is beyond busy, hopefully also compensated well by the company, but ask for Carlos if you have a difficult issue with your Volvo.

Our car was missing a wheel lock key which we found out while trying to get our tires changed. At Volvo, I was told that I need to purchase a new one. The service department employee told me that new key I just purchased would fit on the current lock. Today when trying to get our tires changed again the new key was to big to remove the old locks. Back to Volvo again. This employee was more help and took the car to the garage quickly to swap the locks to work for the new key. This isn't the first time we had employee tell us one thing and do another.

I brought my XC90 in for service this morning as the rear wiper had come loose. The manager inspected the car and said he could tighten the wiper, that there was no need to leave the car there and that it would only take a few minutes. Door to door this took less than an hour and there was no charge. Then he noticed that I needed washer fluid so he filled that up. I have had 5 Volvos from Boston Volvo in the past 15 years and I have always had 5 Star, white glove treatment. Thanks a million! M. Sullivan Boston, MA

I am so disappointed every time I bring my car here! Guys, you cost twice what anyone else would charge, please try to exceed expectations in some way. Plug in the car if it’s sitting there next to the charger! Clean one thing, it’s so sad to get my same old dirty car back, just a clean windshield or something would have made my day. And to miss the trim bit sticking off the door makes me think you weren’t looking very carefully at anything. Now I have to make a special trip back to get the trim fixed? No I will not be coming back.

I brought my S60 in for its 10,000 mile service and they forgot to do it. Straight-up forgot. Dropped it off first thing in the morning, called at 4PM to check on things, expecting to pick it up soon, and was told “oh, it must have fallen through the cracks.” I mean, I won’t be back, I can tell you that much.

I made an appointment one month ago to have the dealership put on 3 new tires. I had to wait that long to get a loaner car. I had an 8 a.m. appointment, and received a call at 2 p.m. that they only had 2 of the 3 tires at the dealership. Worse service ever.

I wish I had read these reviews before booking a standard annual service appointment at Boston Volvo. They told me it would take 3 hours, it took 5.5 hours in total for inspection, oil change and wheel alignment... They didn't notify me when my car was finished, I had to follow up them (multiple times) at which point they realized it had been done for some time but no one told me. They were unfriendly, very poor customer service. It took 30 minutes for them to go get my car and bring it to me in the garage. It says in my receipt that the car was washed / front 2 carpets vacuumed - that 100% did not happen. I am so disappointed in this experience, I will not return to this dealership for a service appointment. It was also very over-priced, especially for the poor quality of the experience.

Great service all around, and especially grateful to Carlos, the Service Director. He stayed late on a Saturday to help me with a last-minute tire replacement and software update, which was above and beyond. The whole experience felt easy and well thought out: I dropped the car off, got a loaner right away, received a clear walk-around video explaining what they were doing, paid through an email link, and picked the car up clean and fully charged. Everything was smooth, straightforward, and the work on the car was excellent. Highly recommend.

My initial experience at this Volvo service center was satisfactory. I took my car in to have a new key programmed as well as the 60k service package. The services were perhaps a bit expensive, but I figured that was par for the course taking it to the dealer and with what needed to be done. Less than a week after taking the car in I started receiving error messages and having major problems with the car not allowing me to lock it. The service center did kindly offer to look at it again for free since I had just been there. The second time I took the car in they kept it all day and had me pick the car up after hours, sending me a new estimate with another $1200 of recommended services that were not found a week prior. There was no follow up after I picked up the car despite me trying to call multiple times in the days after and leaving phone messages to understand what they found and what was wrong with the car. I ended up taking the car to the Norwood Volvo service center and had a much better experience and less expensive service.
