I just wanted to say thank you again to the guys at Butler Street Motorworks! My pickup was having issues with the fuel pump and I thought the repair was going to be insanely expensive. The guys at Butler researched the issue and found a much less expensive way to fix the issue for me. They were honest, helpful and my truck is running great! Fantastic communication and service makes the dealing with the parking on Butler Street worth it. I have done a few cars through there for inspections and they are always through. I had a great experience at Butler Street Motorwork. The staff is professional, friendly, and honest. Pricing is clear, itemized, and very reasonable—no surprises. I originally went in for my annual state inspection but also considered getting my AC fixed. The team understood my concerns but advised me against it, explaining that replacing the compressor or refilling the coolant so early before summer might be a waste of money. Thanks to their honest advice, I decided to hold off, likely saving both time and money. I really appreciate that they had my best interest in mind. The only downside is that parking near the shop can be a bit of a hassle, but the quality of service makes up for it. I’d definitely recommend Butler Street Motorwork to anyone looking for a trustworthy motor shop!

These guys are AWESOME. My 2005 Hyundai Sonata started sounding like an old straight-piped work truck due to an aging flex pipe. The part itself was expensive (which they felt bad for - not the shop's fault at all) but the cost of labor compared to the quality of work was the deal of a lifetime. One shiny, beautiful new flex pipe and catalytic converter later and my car was back to being quiet. So far, they're the only mechanics I can trust to do anything I can't!

I will always come to Butler Street Motorworks! Last year I took my car to 3 separate mechanics for inspection; each told me something different was wrong with my car and each fix more expensive than the last. My car only had around 900 miles on it since last inspection. I took it in and received a long list of things needed for inspection. They were up to over $2K for parts and I stopped them before they got to labor costs. I feel that tires and brakes don't wear out in 900 miles. Suspension failure (they said the vehicle rear was resting on the bump stops) a simple push on the bumper showed that I have several inches of downward travel. It sits a little low. That was dishonest in my opinion. Even though they were friendly, if I can't trust them, I will not be giving them any more money. It would have cost several thousand dollars to inspect my 18 year old car that's probably only worth about $2500. They didn't even lock my car when they parked it a block away !

This was my first time going to a shop in pgh so was a bit nervous about where to go. I chose here because it was close to where I work. I received a car inspection and they were able to schedule me about a week out. I was able to drop the car off before work. They called me during the day to keep me updated on the process and suggested services they felt were appropriate but were not pushy at all. My car passed the inspection and upon my request they also changed my oil and installed new wiper blades for a great price in my opinion. I was able to pay over the phone and they left the keys in my car so that I could pick it up after work, after they’d closed. Extremely efficient process and very helpful customer service. I’m thankful I went here.
