Clark Auto has been so helpful! Stumbled across them driving by one day. I love that they are Subie only. All the staff are honest, and have always explained things to me when I ask! With the work they’ve done on my car, they’ve been extremely thorough! This past time I took my car in for a diagnostic, they squeezed me in and got my Subie looked at and fixed less than 24 hours after dropping it off! They are seriously the best! They really care about their customers!

Clarks did a great job doing a multipoint inspection and a transmission fluid flush, would recommend.

Took my car in to Clark’s after having residual issues from an accident. These guys answered every question I had about my inspection & estimate, and went out of their way to make sure I had pictures and info for my insurance claim. Great communication. Great people. Big thanks Devon, Kyle, and the rest of the team at Clark’s

I own a 2008 Subaru Impreza. My car needed a lot of work and I took it to Clark's Auto, where my car was restored to perfect running order in two stages. The shop communicated with me across the process. Their customer service is superb and considerate. Special thanks to Xavier and Devon for keeping me posted on progress and details in two projects. I needed an AC repair, plus a brakes issue solved. Both issues were helped by Devon, and tech, Wesley. Clark's Auto is a top flight Subaru shop, with great customer service. They are dedicated, honest, skilled, fast, fairly priced, communicative, and experts. I've found my permanent Subaru repair business...Clark's Auto. Compliments to Devon, Xavier, and Wesley! My car is running beautifully. Having a trusted repair shop is a great security for me. Thank you! Susan Decker

I had an excellent experience with Clark's Auto, especially Devon and his team. My dealership initially noticed a front engine bay leak during a routine oil change, and I brought my vehicle here for a second opinion. Devon was my service technician and communicated any changes to the repair plan promptly, even making sure that I had my Subaru back in time for a weekend outing to Antelope Island with some friends before dropping it back off at Clark's. They performed a thorough inspection and identified some key issues that my dealership didn't mention. I have driven a fair amount of miles in challenging conditions (e.g., up the canyons in inclement weather) since the repairs and am very happy with the outcome. I highly recommend Clark's not only for their expertise with Subaru vehicles, but also for their professionalism, communication, and thoroughness. Thanks again!

This is the best Subaru shop in Salt Lake. They did some work on my Subaru last week. What awesome about them that they checked in on my vehicle to make sure everything was working properly a week later. Thanks for everything guys!

I went to get my emissions test done and the process from start to finish was very simple. I could tell the guys working there enjoyed each other’s company, and that made for a nice atmosphere while I waited for my car to get serviced. My mechanic let me know what other work my car needed without trying to oversell me anything. I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been debating on leaving a review, but I think people deserve to know. There’s a big Subaru community I’m part of—we go hiking, camping, skiing, and of course, we all own Subarus. Naturally, shop talk comes up. When Clarks was mentioned, the stories weren’t good. Here’s what came out: Overpriced: Multiple people said they charge far more than fair market value. Refurbished parts: They use refurbished batteries but sell them at the price of new ones—when it’s actually cheaper to buy brand new straight from the dealer. Review manipulation: A few friends said they left negative reviews, but those reviews mysteriously disappeared. One even said the owner reached out offering a refund in exchange for deleting their bad review, claiming it “hurts small businesses.” But let’s be real—what actually hurts is a shop taking advantage of people. I read through the negative reviews that remain, and I agree with them. The positive reviews seem to come from people who don’t know any better—yet. Bottom line: this place is expensive, cuts corners, and preys on customers who trust them. I can’t help but wonder how many other bad reviews vanished the same way.

Absolutely never coming here again. I wanna start by saying I literally went out of my way to book out my oil service 1.5 weeks with these guys instead of going to Subaru Southtown which I could any time of any day bc Clark’s is closer and I had a desire to support a local business instead. My appointment was scheduled at 9am for a simple oil change & tire rotation. They told me it’d be about 1.5 hours which is honestly longer than I spend at the dealership but whatever. I went and sat across the street at the park, 45 minutes go by and nobody has touched my car so I PAY 15$ to uber home and back to waste some time and grab my wallet. I come back at 11:40 and they haven’t even touched my car. No text, no phone call update, no sorry. Nothing. lol. Typical male behavior, lying, careless and just completely inconsiderate. Never again. Wasted money on Ubers and now I still have to drive out to Southtown and get this dealt with. Not to mention their prices really aren’t any different than the dealer. Maybe $10 which I just spent on my Ubers.

Clark’s has been my go-to shop for my Outback. They have done everything from Oil Changes to replacing my catalytic converter. They have done great work and have communicated what they are doing openly. I will continue to go there for their great service as long as I have my outback.

Had my Subaru Forester essentially gutted and brought back to life. Engine rebuilt and tons of worn components replaced including bearings, clutch, and more. Was it costly? Of course. Its a 20 year old car with 200k miles: would have been costly anywhere but what made it worth it was the care and attention given to making sure the car was working the way I wanted it and that the engine was reliable (their rebuild comes with a warranty). It's an old car and with a rebuild like this there were bound to be some quirks to iron out but over the five months I'd bring the car back in to get a belt checked out or an engine sound addressed they wouldn't charge me a dime for the service and that car is now my most trusted daily driver. Definitely the Subaru specialist shop for the SLC Subaru lover who wants the knowledgeable service along side the dedicated care to get your car on the road and running.

My first time utilizing Clarks for my 120,000 mile service. They were detailed and comprehensive. They identified a potential future problem (seals leaking into the spark plug cavity) which I was not aware of. Would recommend.

Devon and the crew at Clark's Auto are phenomenal! We were so excited about our newly purchased 2010 forrester. After 2 weeks, engine died, we were shocked and incredibly disappointed, but it was a private sale and were were stuck. Devon and the team have been extremely kind, accommodating, and very helpful. They know their stuff. There have been a few other things, all within a month and they make it easy to come to them and figure out next steps. Today was a dead battery that they went out of their way to help us with. Might not have been a huge deal for them, but it really was an enormous deal for us. Recommend Clarks 5☆☆☆☆☆! Amy M.

Came here for diagnosis of a suspected oil leak and bearing replacement and the service was amazing. There were plenty of shops, parks, and transit within walking distance while I waited which was a big plus. The pricing was incredibly transparent and I will for sure recommend this place to my friends.

So glad we found these guys! We’ve been without a good mechanic since ours retired, and they were exactly what we needed—super friendly, helpful, and efficient. They had our car running perfectly in no time. Highly recommend if you’re in need of a dependable shop!

Clark’s Auto is the definition of a trustworthy shop. After dealing with places that rushed me, upsold me, or gave half-answers, I ended up here—and the contrast is huge. Their crew is professional, direct, and thorough. Pricing is fair, the work is done correctly, and they keep you informed instead of confused. My Subaru has lasted far longer than expected thanks to the level of care they provide. The value is outstanding special shout out to Devon and Kyle for consistently providing the best customer service and doing whatever they can to to make sure my family and I have been taken care of.

Quality of service was great, I had my transmission replaced and it was done very quickly. They were easy to work with as well and clearly communicated any complications that come up during the replacement, making sure the car drove well and everything was installed and fit properly.

Super impressed with Clarks auto! I brought in my Crosstrek for preventive maintenance and left as a happy customer, would definitely continue to take car of my car here. Devon was amazing, he kept me continuously updated of the work in my car always with a great positive attitude. The estimate I received was accurate, the work completed in time, if not early, professional and clean. Easy 5 stars!

It was just my luck that my car was having issues a week before the holidays...I was very stressed out and the dealership wanted to charge me $400 just to look at it...luckily they also recommended me to Clark's. I gave them a call and was able to get an appointment for the next day! Within a few days I had a full diagnosis and knew exactly what was wrong with it. They didnt hassle me over extra things to fix nor did they push to buy anything I didnt need. Their price was fair for parts and labor, I googled and price checked just to make sure and they were all within range for their quote. I locked in on what I actually wanted fixed that was priority and I got the keys back within 2 days after giving them the thumbs up! All in all, during a high stress season, they helped me have my vehicle ready super quick and in time for the holidays. I would absolutely 10/10 recommend taking your Subaru here over the dealerships. Much more friendly and helpful overall. I doubt I'll be taking my car anywhere else but here going forward! Thanks again to the guys at Clark's, yall absolutely killed it. Car runs like a champ now!

First-time Clark's customer here. I took my 2019 Subaru Outback 3.6 here after I'd had really shoddy treatment at one of the largest (if not the largest) Subaru dealers in SL County. I'd been taking my car there for routine maintenance, not to mention buying my new car there six years ago. Two friends recommended Clark's, telling me they had taken their Subarus there for years. I had an excellent experience at Clark's--beginning with walking in the door. Xavier was my service rep. He welcomed me with a smile and walked me through all the service they would try on my car. I had fluid leakage. Long story, but Clark's original estimate on the repair was $1,600. Later in the day Xavier called me to say after close examination, the repairs were much easier than originally planned. My total charge was $300. That may have been just luck, but I'll say that as an older single woman navigating the world of auto repair, I felt respected and valued. No one talked down to me (I'm looking at you, giant Subaru dealership) and Clark's did the work quickly and professionally. It's also a super clean shop, with a pleasant waiting area. If that matters (It does to me). Well done, Clark's Auto!
