My family and I have been pleased with all repairs they've made to our vehicles! Turnaround time has always been reasonable based on required maintenance. Price point is great!

D&M is certainly the place to take your car in for any auto repair. Very professional and explain everything clearly. The best part is the price! Definitely very reasonable and trust worthy. I highly recommend

Had a great experience with D&M. Highly recommend. I had noticed that I was missing a little bit in my 2009 Chevy Silverado. A day later finally got the check engine light I had been waiting for. Bad Fuel Injector #5. Other shops in the Cove/OXR area quoted me $1500 for full replacement of the Fuel Injectors. D&M recommended that they take a look as it likely wasn't the FIs. They were right and identified a $150 fix for what could have easily been a $1500 "problem." Honesty and integrity, that's all you can ask for in a auto shop. Great experience. They got my wife and my business for as long as we are in the Cove.

These guys are AMAZING! They took my truck in and was able to get it taken care of in one day so that I wasn't without. It was something another shop would have charged me way more and taken days to get to. So thankful for them!

D & M Automotive is most certainly worthy of a 5 star rating! They are an honest and trustworthy shop which is hard to find these days. They offer reasonable prices and are knowledgeable in what they do. Definitely recommend these guys!

My 93 Nissan Truck was idling rough and when you drive it once speed got over 50 MPH the whole truck would shake. Took it to D&M to see what's wrong it was the fuel injector-they repaired it and it idles and runs Great!! Thank you D & M!!! Great job and service!!!

D & M came highly recommended by a used car dealership in Owens Cross Roads. Unfortunately, I found D & M to be neither professional nor personable in my dealings with them. They go to great lengths to establish and maintain an adversarial relationship with their customers - (1) they take no appointments (2) they make no promises as to when your vehicle will be worked on or when it will be ready (3) when queried about work done and the quality of the repairs, they become aggressive and defensive. I cannot recommend them nor would I ever go there again to repair or maintain any of my vehicles. Despite what D&M claim in their rebuttal, it should be noted that I brought the vehicle directly to them with the problem and was told they were "covered up" and had no idea when they could look at my vehicle. Dewayne, who I believe is an owner at D&M, was not at all sympathetic to my plight nor interested in addressing a problem that I had already paid his garage to fix. Thus, I was forced to take my vehicle to another garage to attempt to get the issue resolved in a timely manner. I even brought the failed power steering pump back to D&M and was again met by a hostile Dewayne who reluctantly agreed to ask the parts supplier for a refund that he would pass on to me. When I called back a week later, I was told that the parts supplier declined to provide a refund. Dewayne and D&M are the folks who "don't get it". The retail business, including car repair, requires people to be concerned about the customer. Clearly, these people are not.

Disappointed! There are many good reviews, but the customer service skills I observed and received when there are friction points are poor. Communication between the front desk and the mechanics needs attention. Business hours for working people could use more attention too. I agreed to have my AC repaired and serviced under the condition that I would receive the serviceable parts in return. When I picked up my truck on Friday and left another car (mini) to have the oil changed and some other problems diagnosed, there was some excuse that the AC parts weren’t there but that I could pick them up on Monday......After hearing nothing on Monday afternoon, I took off from work to visit the shop in person to follow up on the parts. I was informed by the front desk that the mechanic had told him the parts were cut off from the vehicle in order to save time. I informed the front desk that was not acceptable. The front desk said their wasn’t a manager available and the owner was busy building a house and wasn’t available. He asked if I’d like the owner to call me to discuss rectifying the situation. Three days later, no follow up, not a peep! Not even on the car I left for an oil change over the weekend. Frustrated with the lack of communication, I called to have them park my mini outside. They did comply with that request and I picked up my car. They are a busy shop so I get the feeling customer satisfaction currently isn’t on their priority list.

I take all my vehicles to D&M Automotive for repairs and maintenance. Nice clean facilities and very straightforward discussions on vehicle issues and repair costs. If you pay with a credit card there is a % increase in your charge(2-3%) to cover processing fees, so either pay check or cash...

My partner and I brought our 1994 Topaz in a last week to get the brakes checked. Other than keeping it for like 3 or 4 days and not hearing anything about it until we went and check on Friday evening of last week.... The experience was great. Price is better than S &S or Cove Auto (Cove auto does great work but very high priced, also they charge double whatever the price is on a part). My partner says he won't use D & M again because he felt they took too long to just check brakes. But a few weeks earlier we took the topaz to cove auto for a different issue and they took about the same amount of time if not longer. And it cost nearly $300. I on the other hand will probably use D & M again! And hopefully I can change my partner's mind too. Because it is getting really hard to find shop that does a good job and doesn't charge and arm a leg. Just hope they can get better at contacting their customers.

D&M Dewayne was awesome to work with on getting our repairs done as quickly as possible. Kept us well informed on progress and with equipment orders cost and timeline. Our experience was veey good and now we found a trustworthy automobile shop we can use here in Owen's xroads. I will be bringing my other cars in Dewayne. I give D&M five stars 🌟 automobile knowledge, honesty, fair cost and all the above. We had our differential done and tune up, oil change & suspension. 8/20 brought another one of our vehicles in for tire replacement and alignment. Again another excellent job done. THANK YOU D&M

I started bringing my vehicles to D&M a little over a year ago by recommendation from a friend after I'd had several attempts with a mechanic who's work was not up to par. I am so very THANKFUL that my friend recommended me! D&M has done several jobs, big and small, including an Evaporator, oil seals, valve cover gaskets, and much more. Jobs that require getting really deep in, and D&M has delivered on every job. Even when something didn't quite go as planned with one of my vehicles, Dewayne immediately dispatched a tow to pick up my vehicle for a quick fix. When he says he guarantees his parts and labor, he truly means it. I've even gone to pick up a vehicle and dropped another off at the same time with D&M. Truly a stand-up business and ownership!

First time at D&M. Won't be the last. Had suspension work done on my wife's car. Got quotes from several shops. D&M was the most reasonable, and they had good reviews, so I went with them. Outstanding folks to work with. Very knowledgeable and courteous. Car finished ahead of time, work was done flawlessly. My new favorite auto repair shop.

I brought my truck in on a Tuesday to have it looked at because it was shaking at highway speeds. I was told it would take a couple of days because they had other vehicles in front of it. I said by Thursday and was told yes. I called Thursday and Friday and was told it hadn't been looked at and it wasn't repaired till the following Tuesday ( 5 days later than I was initially told) causing me to have a rental vehicle way longer than if I had taken my truck to another shop. Additionally I was informed that there was a 4 percent surcharge on all card payments. I informed the guy at the register that I was using a DEBIT card and that it was illegal federally to charge debit cards a surcharge and in violation with Visa and other credit cards' merchant agreement. Furthermore, Visas fee is only 3 percent to the merchant and to charge more than that was ALSO illegal. In Alabama and every other state that permits it, surcharging only applies to credit card transactions. Debit and prepaid card transactions are exempt from surcharges, even if the processor codes them as credit transactions. Surcharging debit cards is prohibited under the Durbin Amendment of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The problem with my truck was actually fixed but due to way longer delay than I was initially told and being forced to use cash instead of my debit card leads me to rate 2 stars. Your business is in violation of the 2017 Supreme Court ruling and the above listed Consumer Protection Act. You are only paying attention to the part that benefits your business allowing credit card surcharges but not the consumer Protection act that states in black and white that debit cards can not be surcharged and the fee must not exceed what the credit card company charges the merchant (3 percent for Visa) Review updated 10MAY25 to owner's response" Thank you for the reply 3 and a half months later? I spoke to your mechanic behind the register for about 3 minutes. My voice was never raised a single second and zero "tantrums" were ever thrown. The fact of the matter is, it is illegal for your business to charge for debit cards and pre-paid purchase cards. Do a 10 seconds google search about the law or just read the agreement you signed with VISA or MASTERCARD? A tantrum would have been calling Redstone Federal and disputing the fee added or going to city council meeting and stating your business is in violation of Federal and Alabama state law as per multiple consumer protection acts? Also yes, the repairs were way longer than I was told upfront. I will never be back.

We actually called to see how much it would be for them to diagnose the problem with our car and the mechanic that answered the phone was so hateful with my husband that we decided to go look elsewhere. He acted like we were stupid for calling and asking. After reading all the good reviews we were really optimistic about this place.
