I recommend SHU students, with cars on campus, check out Dave's Auto if you need repairs while away from home. I had a brake issue and they were able to fix quickly and at a reasonable price. Dave's is my go-to repair in the Bridgeport/Fairfield area while at school.

I haven't had my car serviced here since 2002 BUT I always remember Dave as the most fair mechanic I have ever had. He basically saved me on more than one occasion when I had no money. He got me used parts, had fair prices, and literally kept me on my feet when I was attending SHU and I could have easily fallen through the cracks. Dave's is hands down the best mechanic I've ever had, and I've never forgotten even after more than 20 years.

My fuel sending unit gave out on me after I try to do a little hack job, I have to go to Massachusetts the next day, I went online looked at a few reviews A lot of good things were said about Dave Auto sales, I decided to give them a shot. Service was quick and professional. I received my car the same day after dropping it off in the afternoon, I was ready for the road to go to Massachusetts. I made my trip without any issue and it wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for Dave's Auto sales. I would recommend Dave Auto sales to anyone.

I needed my alternator replaced and happened to walk by here when I was supposed to be taking a "walk" with my landlord not a hike. Anyway, later that day I found out I had a cc with an available balance and remembered the name of Dave's place (looked up reviews and they were all positive). First thing the next morning I called and spoke with Christopher and explained my issue and he said I could bring my car in that day. So, I called AAA and they always recommended a repair shop near by and what do you know Dave's shop was the only one on their list. Dropped my car off at 10:30a.m. and was able to get it back the same day just before they closed. Christopher, ( I believe that's what he goes by not Chris) was very helpful and attentive and made my bad experience of my car issue a positive ending. Oh, and can't forget about Gino, I asked where is the relay switch in my car (apparently that was another issue that delayed me getting the car back sooner. Gino was kind enough to walk me to my car, we opened the hood and he showed me the new alternator (which is under the car that is why I needed a repair shop for a lift otherwise my friend could of replaced it). Gino also showed me where the relay switch was and when I mentioned I had a cover to my battery in my glove box, he had me get it and he put it on. I know this is a long review (which I typically don't do) but I just am so happy with my experience at Dave's shop and can't recommend it enough to everyone. Make sure you meet Christopher and Gino, they are the real deal of fantastic customer service, especially when you are upset about a car issue, you walk away feeling better even if you had to spend $. 😊

I stopped in Dave's Ato on a weekend and meet Mich, I was explaining to him I had some work on my car and something was not right. Brought it back the following so they could look into it for me. They called me to inform me that the work that done by the previous shop was not done correctly. While my car was there they noticed some other issues and addressed them for me. I went back in the afternoon to get my car and could not believe how much quieter it was running was running. I will be back in the future.

As everyone is surely aware, it is very difficult in these times to find honest, hardworking and skilled professionals. Let me just say that the very moment we contacted this establishment regarding our college daughter's car issues, it was completely taken care of from stem to stern. Not only did they take over everything, and I mean absolutely EVERYTHING, they put our anxious minds at ease-and that is priceless! They were completely honest and quickly fixed everything for her, it was almost unbelievable. Less than a year in the area and needed a local garage. Dave's Auto is a great place. I want to give a shout out to Nick. He's very skilled, and a Pro. If you have car issues, I think they can take care of you. I know it's rough finding new garages. I recommend. Furthermore, I know people have various situations. My experience there was good, and will go back.
