Dave is simply awesome. Stranded in Knoxville, he recognize the importance of me letting the car cool down overnight for him to meet us at it at 8 AM sharp. He came and in under an hour and a half a diagnosed the problem, obtained the parts, installed everything and got us back on the road. Also he didn’t charge an arm and a leg and has a great personality. Five stars all the way.

Wow, Dave offers great service and is all around a great guy. My wife and I needed someone to look at a vehicle we were planning on buying in TN. Since we live in NC we needed someone reliable and knowledgeable to ensure this was a good purchase before driving our family 5+ hours. He exceeded every expectation and really put our minds at ease regarding our decision. He scanned, test drove and after looking over our vehicle sent us pictures of what he found. Above all else & most important (at least to me), Dave is professional. Professional in that he communicates well, he’s not rude, and he knows his craft. I needed a mobile mechanic because my truck wouldn’t even turn on (the starter didn’t work) and he got me up & running in no time. If you’re reading this, just remember: you always get what you pay for. Dave didn’t give me the cheapest quote, but 1) he answered the phone 2) he was courteous & just sounded professional on the phone, and 3) all these other positive reviews speak for themselves. Hopefully I don’t need mechanic work again for a long time, but when I do, I’m calling Dave & I would highly recommend him to my friends & family.

As we left vacation in Pigeon Forge to head back home, the water pump failed on my truck just north of Knoxville. I called every dealership and garage near me just to find they were all booked out at least 2 weeks. Finally I got ahold of Dave’s Mobile Mechanic llc. This man deserves this shoutout so much. He not only agreed to come work on it at the hotel the follow morning but did all the hoofing to find the parts I needed that turned out to be a dealership only part. He shows up at 8 AM to pick me up and take me on a 45 minute drive one way to purchase the parts I needed at a dealership and brings me back where he worked until the job was finished. Didn’t take lunch, didn’t take a break, didn’t stop until he had me on the road home. I was fortunate to have great conversations and get to know him. He messaged me all the way home to make sure the truck was running the way it should and assured me if anything happened he’d drive the distance to fix it himself. These are the type of people this world doesn’t have enough of. He’s genuinely a great man that cared enough to show compassion to my family in a time of need. I could never thank this man enough. Thank you Dave!

Awful mechanic. We needed a new starter put in my Honda Civic. The entire time he worked on the car he claimed “no other mechanics in Knoxville know what they’re doing.” My car died two days later, had to have it towed to Rusty Wallace Honda where I’ve had to spend over $2,000 getting the car fixed INCLUDING purchasing ANOTHER starter because the brand new one I purchased to have him install was somehow mysteriously damaged. 10/10 would NOT recommend. He also charged the same price the dealership charged to put in the new starter, so you might as well just take it to a dealership instead of dealing with this dude.

My car broke down while I was out and I didn’t want to pay for a tow so I tried Dave. I’m SO glad I did. This guy knows what he’s doing. He replaced my starter for me and even got me a discount on the part. Super solid guy. I’m so glad I didn’t tow it to a shop. If you’re in doubt give this guy a call first. He’s also up front about prices and very reasonable. Additionally, he has a cute well trained dog as his sidekick 🐶

I recommend Dave because he was super fair with the pricing and repair of my truck. He replaced a hose and an air sealant within 24 hours of me dropping it off and was extremely transparent on everything, that needed to be fixed and bought. Super affordable pricing as well and he is a square guy, that won’t try to get one over you. Highly recommend as opposed to going to a shop.

Wonderful experience having Dave come to my rescue. I started a brake job and messed it up with the electrical brakes on these new cars so the car couldn't move. Dave came quickly and at the time he said, rebuilt the caliper, reset the computer and at a cost that was not a shock. Highly recommend Dave.
