The most honest mechanics I have ever met. I lived in Hubbard and have since moved 30 minutes away. I will still go back to this place anytime I need my car worked on as they are amazing. I took my car to Firestone on Belmont and they estimated $5,000 in repairs. I then took it to Dave’s and he found nothing wrong with my car. NOTHING. it’s disgusting that some garages see a woman and then try and take advantage using fear as a tactic to draw business. I’d travel three hours to Dave’s if I had to just to know I’m being treated fairly. Sad that an honest shop is rare but I’d give 10 stars to this one if I could. Thanks for caring about people! **UPDATE** Thank you for replying and proving my point about how you handle a poor customer experience and how you talk to your customers in general. Literally the first review I’ve ever written for any product or service. Generally, I chalk up bad experiences to the employees having bad days or I’ll just stop visiting the establishment. I was treated so poorly and with such a rude and dismissive disposition today, that I can’t ignore the situation. If I could rate this location with negative stars, I would. I scheduled a repair for the dial that controls the heat and AC in my car 2 weeks ago. When I brought my car in for repair this morning I was told by the guy at the desk that they don’t do that repair. He did it once and said he won’t do it again. Which indicates they have the ability to make that repair and just don’t want to. When I asked why I wasn’t given that information when I scheduled my appointment and provided the issue. His response was that the one person that did type of repair quit two days ago, as the guy behind the desk laughed. I find this issue no laughing matter. I have had no heat in my car for over two weeks with a two year old son that I can’t drive anywhere. I also took a day off work for this repair. Time wasted that could have been spent taking a planned day off with my son. The guy went on to say I could leave the car but he most likely won’t fix it. I asked if he could please give me a simple yes or no answer or a recommendation on where to take the car and he said he could do neither. I took my vehicle down the street to another local shop and they informed me it is an easy repair and they would just need to order a part to fix the problem and the whole repair would take about an hour and a half. I’ve been bringing my vehicles in to Dave’s Super Tire since I was 16 for all oil changes and tire issues. I’ve never had a problem until recently. Customer service has declined more and more over the past couple years. Even the customers in the waiting room were visibly uncomfortable with the way the guy was talking to me. I will never visit this location again and I’m very disappointed such a reliable local business has declined to this type of treatment to its customers.

UPDATE in response to owner comments: Paid $776.83 and am getting $120.00 rebate and $70 road hazard warranty from Tire Rack. Usually rotate tires myself after oil changes so free rotation no big deal. Never cross threaded or had any problems taking tires on and off, and they are torqued properly with torque wrench. I bought some new tires from Tire Rack And needed to have them installed. They arrived Friday afternoon and even though their price was high I took them to Daves so they would be on before the weekend. I was watching through the glass in the waiting room as they pulled my car in. The wheels came off quickly without any problems. When putting the wheels back on with an impact wrench I noticed the worker was having problems putting one of the lug nuts back on. After several unsuccessful tries he had another worker try with no luck, then Dave starting trying and ended up discarding my lug nut and forcing one on from his shop that did not even match. When he came in to give me the bill I mentioned that I noticed they had trouble with one of my lug nuts. He said that it was hard coming off and hard going back on. I explained to him that I just had that tire off that morning and that they screwed on fine with my fingers and i tightened with a torque wrench. He said some times just taking them on and off over time could cause them to develop problems. This made no sense. He also told me the next time the wheel came off the stud would probably have to be replaced. I told him I saw the worker and thought he cross threaded the nut. Dave told me if I was not happy to not come back there again. So after paying $140 plus tax for a tire change I still have another bill coming in the future. I have had snow tires changed there for last 3 years but would never go there again. A business should take responsibility when they make a mistake and not try to make excuses.
