Dave came to my place on a Sunday when every other garage or mechanic couldn’t be reached. He tested the battery and determined it was very low-charging and needed replacement. He drove me to O’Reilly’s to buy a new battery and installed it. The service call and installation were all included in one charge. A very reasonable price. I’ll definitely call him again.

I hired Dave to finish a brake pad and rotor replacement on my Jetta after getting stuck on the job myself. While Dave was very friendly and talkative, the service he provided left much to be desired. Unfortunately, the negatives far outweigh the positives in this case. First, when Dave finished working on my car, he left with the wheels still off, and I was left to put them back on myself. This was frustrating because I hired him specifically to complete the job. To make matters worse, he told me the brakes were “good” when he left, but when I drove the car, the brakes felt completely off—something was definitely wrong. I then reached out to Dave to have him finish the job properly, only for him to request a follow-up fee. This was extremely disappointing since the original job wasn’t completed correctly, and I’m now left in the position of needing to pay extra for work that was left unfinished. To sum up, while Dave may be friendly and approachable, the lack of professionalism and attention to detail left me extremely dissatisfied. If you do decide to hire him, I’d strongly advise that you double-check everything yourself, as the job might not be fully completed, and you might end up needing to pay more for issues that should’ve been resolved initially.

I called this mechanic to try to get help with my car, but the person I spoke to was very short and dismissive over the phone. I was trying to explain what was going on, but they didn’t seem interested in listening or helping. I ended up calling San Diego Mobile Repair instead, and they were great — super helpful, kind, and took the time to listen to my concerns. I’d definitely recommend going with them instead.

Dave is a lifesaver! I called him Sunday afternoon to come check out my Chevy Silverado. It was for a coolant leak I noticed the day before driving across America. He came Sunday night found the leak which was my radiator and gave me a in person quote to have that fixed. Very reasonably priced and he came back the next day and had it fixed. I'm halfway across America and my truck is running great. Very professional and knows what he is doing! Thanks Dave

Called them out cause my car wouldn’t start in my driveway and I didn’t wanna deal with a tow. The guy showed up within a couple hours and was really chill. He tested the battery and found out it was dead, replaced it right there in my driveway. I was shocked how fast and easy it was. Prices were good too, not much more than a shop. I liked that I didn’t have to take time off work or wait days for a shop appointment. Only downside was I wish they gave a tighter time window but I get they're mobile and busy. Overall though this was such a lifesaver. He even checked a few other things to make sure I wouldn’t have another surprise soon. I’ll be keeping their number saved for next time. Mobile mechanic is the way to go.

I knew Dave back in El Cajon when he had a shop. I met him a couple times. El Cajon Blvd. now he strictly mobile one of my friends had also recommended Dave. I’ll tell you what this man is very good. His trustworthy is honest and dependable. He fixed my neighbors Jeep, Shift cable he tried to put in a new bushing, but it would not go in so he was wasted his time with that and he let me know ahead of time. I must say for a mobile mechanic he’s one of the best.

Just a heads up. Don’t use him. He asks for a deposit up front, which I have learned is odd for a mechanic to do. I called him to have my rear brakes replaced. He told me he wanted me to cash app him( odd) and we scheduled for Saturday and that day he was hard to get ahold of, said there was an emergency and kept delaying. Thankfully I was able to get a refund but please protect yourself. If you use him don’t pay a deposit.

I'm a retired electrical engineer and work on all my one cars, and have been doing so for years, but when I need help I can trust "Dave"to be honest, knowledgeable, dependable and fair on price. I have owned many different vehicles over the years, and I prefer to drive older vehicles, because I can work on them and they are the best financial choice for me. I recently purchased a 2000 Lexus GS300, and Dave, rebuild the engine wiring harness on the Lexus, diagnosed a bad " replacement fuel pump ",and helped me get it back on the road. It wasn't cheap, but the ability to drive the car reliably without payments makes it worth it for me. This was my personal project, and Dave helped me significantly achieve my car care, and ownership goals!
