Our vehicle had a big issue on the third day of vacation. We had it towed to David's after closing one day and they were very good at communicating and had it fixed by 3 the following day. Other places cold not even look at it for a week plus allegedly. Price was fair.

Great local service. In the year since we moved to town we've had my wife's vehicle there on three different occasions. In all instances the work was not only done right, the customer service and knowledge clearly showed they cared and knew what they were doing. - From a customer that is qualified to service they're own vehicle, but would rather not. I arrived out of town with a vehicle that barely got to the other side of the state. I stopped along the way at an Autozone to replace my car battery (assuming that was what was wrong with my vehicle)- it wasn’t. I had several friends and family members recommend to go to David’s garage. They were outstanding. They squeezed me in (even though I’m sure they were busy after the holiday). Annette and David were friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and honest. I can’t say enough great things about them. The only downside is that their repair shop isn’t closer to my home.

Any GVSU students from out of town (or anyone for that matter) that need a trustworthy and honest mechanic should check out David’s Garage. I have been taken advantage of by other mechanics in the Allendale/Grand Rapids area, and I’m very pleased with the work I had done at David’s Garage. Their inspection was swift, the work was done right, and the price was fair. They didn’t try to add on unnecessary fixes like most other places. This is the second time my ex husband brought his 2006 Hummer H3 into have work done. The first time was a transmission this time it was engine work. Both times the work was done beyond expectation. I started using David's Garage back when I lived in Robinson Township. Time and time again I am very satisfied. David and his wife Annette (who handles the office side of the business) are both very friendly people who care about providing good service. I have had David do small things like brake work and oil changes, on up to big things like replacing an engine. His hourly rates are highly competitive, lower than any other garage in the West Michigan area that I had used previously. When scheduling service with Annette, she has been wonderful at getting my vehicle worked on at a time that fits into my schedule. When there has been issues with work done, like a part being defective, they have always been straightforward and wonderful about getting it sorted out. Having had a few parts go bad within the warranty period, something they cannot control, they quickly took care of getting a replacement in and did not charge for the labor for the replacement. After moving about 30 minutes away, I still use David's Garage. The drive is a bit inconvenient, but when it comes to mechanics and the horrors (and high prices) I have experienced with others, I value the good and reliable service enough to make that drive. If you need something done on your vehicle, I highly recommend giving them a try. I have shared my experience over the years with family and friends and all of them who tried David out have praised the service like I do.

They have been fixing my vehicles for the seven years I've lived here. Stopped because it was close to my home. Lucked out. They are amazing people and he is a fantastic mechanic. First job they ever did was a main brake line replacement that he did for a quarter of the price the Ford dealer in GH quoted me. I've been a repeat customer ever since. They don't advertise. It's all word of mouth, and their lot is always full. Highly recommend.
