If they sold fruit here, I would go nowhere else My favorite supermarket in the area, with a great sortiment on a small vending space, attractive prizes, seasonal products, toys, decorations and a cozy atmosphere. The fridge shelves greatly improve the available choice of products too.

I use the store three to four times a week and always have a long wait to check out. Slow is not quite TG he appropriate word. Takes longer to checkout than to shop.

The lady I asked for help was extremely rude over me just asking how to clear the screen for the self checkout . I wanna say she was the manager. I will never go there again.

This is an amazing store. What makes it so special are the people who work there. The associates and manager are always very friendly. It's a pleasurable shopping experience. And, the prices are always good!

Like weeds, these stores are everywhere! Some are hole in the walls and there ar ed a few full grocery ones available. As for this particular store, it is a stand alone building. It is pretty small compared to some. It is delivery day so some of the isles are packed with metal crates full of product. Makes getting down a lot of isles impossible. As to the cleanliness.. well it is a mess. Organization of shelves is ok. You can find items but you can tell they dont go out of their way to pull things forward. Be sure to check dates when buying food. I've found canned goods that were expired. All in all you get what you pay for. Not all prices are cheaper but you can find some good deals.

I frequent this store as its nearby to my home. It's an inner-city dollar general that can't be compared to how nice the country stores are. The new self checkout makes the line go quick.

After store remodel they removed pretty much all kitchen wares. I was looking for refillable condiment squeeze bottles and they didn't even have those anymore. Store is constantly in disarray and hard to find anything anyways. One of the smallest basic Dollar General in Lafayette. Would recommend going to a bigger or newer DG unless your just looking for the very basics.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Two managers helped me today. The line was all the way to the back of the store so everybody was a little heated. When it was my turn, they rang up my stuff wrong and it was well over the amounts it should have been. When I asked them to go over the rung up items with me, they talked to me like I was stupid and just a hassle. WILL NOT be going back. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGERS!!!!!!!

Seems like every time I go to the Main Street store, I witness an argument between 1 particular cashier and a customer. As the customer leaves, she informs them they are not welcomed back. This woman has a terrible attitude towards customers. Definitely not a people person!!!

This store is always disgusting. If anyone says it’s clean or organized, then I would hate to see your house. I haven’t even spoken about customer service. I don’t think they know what that means. Starts at the top and let me tell ya management doesn't show any basic customer service skills.

This is the messiest store I've been in. Two workers, both rude and didn't like that I had coupons. Refused the coupons even though they were valid and matched. Scott threw my coupons back at me. I she'd for corporate phone number and all he could say was I don't know. Scott then said it's on receipt. Which isn't on there. He and angel looked through yeah and have me someone else's receipt. No corporate number. Then angel said it's an 877 number.. kept telling me to look better. She then came over and said it's right there. Pointing to the survey. So they refused to give me the number..

The employee working today, a little grey haired lady, her name tag said (ANG) had an attitude from hell, throwing our purchases in the bag like it was trash and we had a glass candle , not happy at all the lady should be fired for the way we was treated and when I asked her if she was having a bad day , she replied all snappy and rude No! Not at all!

We had a bad experience with an employee over a price difference and the employee gave us Flac. We did report the incident to corporate and never heard anything from corporate because in the end we never heard anything anyway because we had told them the best time to reach us and they always tried to call when it was not convenient and they hung up and they were rude just like this store that we have been at. We will not ourselves unless absolutely necessary shop at this Dollar General again we will however shop at other Dollar Generals. Only because of the way we were treated here over the price discrepancy issue and corporate being the way they were at the time that is why we will not shop at this store but Dollar General still has our backing for the most part because of the fact that one apple doesn't make the whole bunch bad or even two apples for that matter.

Store a bit junky.. store manager has a nasty attitude barely speaks, she probly should quit if she doesn't want to do the job. I seen her being mean to a worker and accuse him of doin something he said he didn't do. She treated him bad unprofessional in told him he was fired n to go home. She rubs me the wrong way

Low prices here but the quality of the items sold are questionable. Some cans of food have a stale taste, while I've bought numerous dry goods like crackers that were sub-par in quality. The store itself is very small, with cramped aisles and very little room to check out.

I came to this location for one item, when I walked in the store the cashier was waiting on her manager (Angel) to come up and void a few items on a ticket. I browsed for about 10 minutes and when I came up to check out the issue still hadn't been resolved and the line was about ten people in. The cashier was doing the best she could with such a huge line, but she was trying to deal with the customer who needed items voided and another who was saying that she was given the wrong change. After waiting for about ten minutes, the customer who needed a void went and found Angel (the manager on duty who hadn't been responding to pages the entire time I was in the store), and had her come up to the counter. When Angel finally came up, she immediately started yelling at the cashier, making comments about how she "just needs to get these people out" directly in front of the huge line of customers. She then moved on to "helping" the customer who had the complaint about change, but the integration was mostly just her making incredibly rude comments and just being generally distasteful to the customer, going so far as to make slightly racist comments toward her. Eventually she aggressively told them "just step to the side so I can get these people out of here and then I'll take care of it - I need you to get out of their way and then I'll go make sure you actually got the wrong change - I have to make sure you're not lying." After she made the customer step to the side I went to check out, and she kept being incredibly rude. She threw the card I bought onto the counter after scanning it, asked if I wanted a bag, and bagged it anyway after I told her I didn't need one. Not a single interaction Angel had during my visit there could be even remotely be described as nice, but more than that I didn't witness an ounce of professionalism from her at any point. We all have bad days, I work in retail and can understand the stress and time constraints. That being said, Angel was a horrible, horrible presence and I genuinely cant think of any reason that would excuse her behavior. I was in the store from 6:05 to 6:37 and only 10 minutes of that was spent making my selection. I would have overlooked this if Angel had shown a SHRED of professionalism, but from start to finish she was absolutely terrible and I genuinely think she should be removed from management. I can only hope for the sake of other customers that this was a fluke day for her, but I definitely won't be returning to this location if I can at all help it.

Manager Angel is horrible. I’ve been in this store and heard her instigating arguments with customers one more than one occasion. Some even while they have their child. Completely trash.

I live by here. I absolutely can not stand this location. I will drive across town rather than stopping here. It's dirty, stuff is always gone or not stocked in shelf's. It's all along the outside walls in boxed or in the stock room. Most of the employees the cashier's are okay. There are a couple in particular I like a lot actually. They will tell u the place is a joke. I feel sorry for them. The manager is terrible. She is the reason it's a mess there. I have heard her talking down to workers. And accusing people of stealing. I heard a woman going off on the manager once for threatening her child. The manager accused the little boy of stealing. Even the cashier was trying to let her know he didn't take nothing she wouldn't listen. And grabbed his arm. The mom was in the car and she saw it and came unglued. There is always drama and issues like this. Each time I begrudgingly stop there. That women needs a diff line of work.
