Didn't have the greatest experience with this establishment. I was told to meet them at 10 am and the place was shuttered as I waited for more than 45 minutes with no one showing up. If I can't trust you with simple things then how can rely on you to be honest and repair my car correctly.

I would NOT recommend his body shop for your auto repair. The shop located at 81 Steuben Street, which is not the actual shop, this is just a garage where they stores cars until it is ready for repair. Marc who is the primary owner collects the insurance money, buys the parts himself and have a third party body shop do the repairs. I have a brand new 2016 Altima and after he was done with the accident repair, the car had a lot of noticed issues. Paint was not blended in properly, clear coat was not properly applied, the car was not buffed, bumper was not fitted accurately, etc... Never again would I do business at this body shop nor would I recommend it. Marc is a very friendly person, but the quality work that was preformed on my car was unsatisfactory. CUSTOMERS BEWARE.

Can't trust these guys at all. They act nice but the auto body work they did on my almost brand new car was terrible quality, unsafe for driving, very slow and they were not honest. I would definitely NOT recommend ever taking your car to Downtown Automotive.

Downtown Automotive Inc towed my car a month ago after a car accident and parked it next to a fire hydrant, causing me to get a ticket for $115. The receipt from their towing and auto body shop and the parking ticket show that the car was parked on the same day as the tow on the same block. I called repeatedly over a week and a half asking for them to pay the ticket but they ignored my calls. I went over to their shop and gave them the receipt and the owner there told me he would pay it but it's been 3 weeks and they still haven't paid the ticket so I had to pay it myself because of what they did. Not very trustworthy. I would not recommend their services if you value your car and your time.

I really tried to give these people the benefit of the doubt, but at every step my experience with this TOWING company gets worse and worse. Let's start off by saying they are a Towing company, NOT an auto body shop. I brought my car here after an accident and have regretted every day since. They literally put SHEETROCK screws into my Audi because of horribly the bodywork was done to whomever they contracted it out to. I will have to take it to another shop to have their work corrected. As much as I want to avoid court, I will have to. They do not take my calls nor return them. AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS! In reply to this post Downtown Automotive says that part of repair was not covered by my insurance, yet I took the car to another repair shop and got the repair approved and completed with in a week. This place is just bad news.

My daughter recently had her first accident, she was obviously upset, but thankfully unhurt. We were so lucky with the company that came to her rescue. Craig treated my daughter and her friend like they were his own children calming them down and making sure they were okay. He towed the car to his shop that evening, even driving them home from Brooklyn to Queens. What company does that? He wouldn’t even accept a tip! I went to the shop the next day to look at the car and met Marc who went over the damage with me and let me know the car would most likely be deemed totaled. I did not get charged a storage fee while waiting for the insurance adjuster to look at the car. While my interaction was limited, I felt everything was fully explained to me. If I am in need of these services in the future, I will contact Downtown Automotive.
