The radiator in my Subaru blew open last summer and it was either drive it to the dealer or East Pete Auto. Having had not so great experience with service from the Lancaster Subaru dealer I took it to East Pete Auto. They replaced the radiator with a newer Subaru model and informed me of the change. The work was fine and it was fairly quick considering they needed to order the radiator. The repair is holding up fine a year later. Pricing was slightly better than what it would have been from the dealer, and they didn't mess anything else up in the engine bay while performing the repair! I plan on having some other service done at this shop in the very near future.

Nothing but good things to say about East Pete Auto. These people are as honest as they come. They’re incredibly organized, professional and can usually fit me in within a day or 2 to service my car. They also always get the job done in a timely fashion. Happy customer!

I have pretty much had good service going here. I'm not a car expert but I think repair prices are at least moderate. Also they try to get the work done fairly quickly; if you have something urgent going on they will likely get you in while you wait.

I have become quite dissatisfied with their services. I called to setup an appointment for both my mother's car and mine. I dropped it off the night before but it still was not even being worked on at 2:30 the next day. Now probably not done today and have to wait until tomorrow. I wish I had been told it might not be done same day. It always has been in the past. Maybe they should stop scheduling too many appointments same day. Cancelled appt for my car and will go elsewhere from now on.

The whole staff here are great. . I needed a state inspection done and everyone I called wasn't able to donut till the following week. They took me in asap the same day. . Will definitely take my vehicle back for some things that are going to be needed when I'm back in town. Definitely recommend.

A close friend of mine recommended Ron, she has been going to him since she was 18 years old. We both agree that: Ron has integrity and runs an honest business and makes it right, and truly cares about safety. I work in healthcare and need a vehicle to get me to work, and I cannot accept otherwise, I am pleased with east Petersburg auto service and would recommend it for any mechanical and/or maintenance needs. I drive cross country frequently and I feel safe now that I received exceptional service from here. He also elucidates the issues so that it is understandable and you don’t have to know everything about cars to understand what needs to be done. They are transparent in their work and I truly respect this manner of business - as it is difficult to find a good shop in Pennsylvania, I actually will go out of my way 40/50 miles to go there even though there are many shops close by. If you're in charge of taking care of your car, and are of the female gender, give this garage a ring if and when you need or think you need work done. I was very comfortable waiting myself as they did the inspection, changed the oil and adjusted my brakes. I asked a few questions and got direct answers, without any attempt at trying to "recommend" additional work or purchases. The employees were buzzing around and appeared to enjoy their job. No bad attitudes here! I'll be going back for sure.

Ron and his crew are great. I can’t tell you the number of times he has given an alternate recommendation to save me money. Recently I had a crack in my tail pipe, which he couldn’t fix because his crew doesn’t weld. He could have sold me an entire one for $1,000, but he suggested I find an exhaust place to do the repair. This saved me $700. I really trust his expertise and feel he goes out of his way to do the right thing, even if that means he loses money. That practice is why you see droves of people at the shop. It’s super busy on a regular basis. Highly recommend!

I am editing this review after 5 years of using this garage on the 5 vehicles I own. In short, I have had to fix multiple issues with the quality of work being done.The two biggest problems I encountered: 1) Improperly used gaskets on the exhaust manifold to the down pipe that blew out 5 months later. 2) We also had a power steering line dump all the fluid into our driveway after being replaced 2 weeks later. The technicians did not properly tighten the clamps. Now routine work that isn't heavily involved we have had very solid results. But on larger projects it just seems that attention to detail could use a little refining. Now I know that I could of called Ron up and re-scheduled it to be fixed (because other small thing did happen out of his control on other projects and he did stand behind it) however the time and inconvenience involved was not worth it. First Review in from 2013: I previously used to work on every vehicle I owned, but not any more thanks to Ron and his shop! I have been using their shop for about 2 years now and I have zero complaints. Ron explains everything very well and when he says he will get it done that day, it's done that day! Fair prices for great service even though I'd pay a little extra due to their honesty, reliability and great service.

I called them Saturday Morning and explained what needs done in my car and they were able to avail an appointment within less than an hour. They didn’t try to sell any parts or do any extra unneeded work to charge me more money and i knew it was simple fix. Will definitely come back.

East Pete auto has recently come to be owned by Meineke. Bad News! I don't typically write negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience to prevent others from going through what we did. We recently took our car in for what should have been a routine repair. Unfortunately, they installed the wrong axle, which led to significant damage to our vehicle. When we returned to address the issue, they admitted their mistake and replaced the axle with the correct one, but the damage was already done. The initial error resulted in catastrophic damage to our car, effectively ruining its value. What's even more frustrating is that Meineke failed to take full responsibility for their actions, leaving us thousands of dollars in the hole with a car that's now virtually worthless. The situation was made worse by several other mistakes they made along the way, details of which I don't even have the time or space to fully explain here. I'm deeply disappointed in Meineke and their employees, and I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of this shop.

Took my Jeep in for very small coolant leak. After putting in on the lift the Service Manager told me it needed a new thermostat and housing - $389.00, installed. I took it to another mechanic (recommended by a friend). After putting it on the lift, the Service Manager told me the lower hose clamp was tightened. Problem solved; no charge. The Service Manager asked me who told me I needed a new thermostat and housing. He rolled his eyes and chuckled when I said Meineke East Petersburg in East Petersburg.

I started going to this garage about 2 years ago. At the beginning they seemed very fair and of good value so I was pleased to feel like I had found my "go-to" garage for both my SUV and my husbands truck. Since March of 2021, the service that I started to receive at this place downgraded significantly. My car (8 years old) and my husbands 15 year old truck passed inspection with no repairs needed....this seemed shocking but I thought we just were blessed with some good luck. WRONG! Both of us had significant issues with our vehicles within 1 month of the inspection. My SUV needed an entire stirring column replacement, a new motor mount, and several other "little things" to correct how hard the motor was running. Our trucks entire brake system broke and thankfully my husband was able to bring it to a stop without any damage. To make matters worse, both times we were quoted one price and by the time it was done, the price had doubled. I understand that as a project progresses, new issues may come to light, but we were never informed of any of those issues and just charged double with no heads-up. Lastly, any time I have made an appointment I have asked when they would have time to look at our vehicles and I was given my choice of several days - giving the impression that they had a semi open book. WRONG again. Each time the repairs have not been started until 3/4 PM on the day it was scheduled and it was obviously necessary for them to keep the vehicle for a 2nd day to complete the project...honestly it felt like they almost might need a 3rd day. I'm super disappointed and sad to know that a garage I once trusted and relied upon has downgraded its service so much.

Buddy and Dave did a phenomenal job on my vehicle, getting an inconvenient repair done well and quickly. I was in and out with 25 minutes of me coming in. All of that is pretty amazing in it of itself, but nothing tops the way they treat their guests. I felt welcomed, respected, and taken care of.
