About 3 years ago, this was my go to car place when they were still known as Thrifty. Unfortunately now, I can no longer say that. Recently, I took my car in there to be diagnosed and it was determined I had a water pump leak. When I got the estimate, I about fell out of my chair. The estimate listed the water pump, among several other things, they were going to fix. When I asked why the other things needed to also be repaired if only the water pump was leaking, I was informed “9 times out of 10, that will need to be replaced if we replace the water pump.” There was no offer to do the water pump only or to advise a cheaper way to go about it. The estimate was $2,500. TWENTY FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. Luckily, I knew that was a high estimate and decided to get estimates elsewhere…. my other 2 estimates came in WAY lower, didn’t recommend anything else based on assumptions, and ultimately I got my leaking water pump fixed for $1,100. Not only was I questioning their estimate, but now I am questioning their integrity as well. I strongly suggest taking your vehicle elsewhere…. so you don’t get ripped off. Not sure if the owners changed when the name changed but this is definitely not the same car care center it once was.
