This is the place for any and all VQ needs! Eugene knows Z’s and G’s down to the bolts and doesn’t hesitate to answer any questions you may have as you car is in his shop. Very quick but detail oriented mechanic that definitely values quality over quantity. If you need work on your Z or G I highly recommend you check this shop out!

How come you guys don't have an address or location posted on your webpage or on the Google search result? It's very difficult to find your address if one was to try to go there or just to know how far it is. Don't be shy. Post your address. I thought you guys were close to me but I spent 30 min just to figure where you located in Concord CA. Correct me if I'm wrong or it's a different business there another shop that sounds just like your business so it's confusing.

Eugene is hands down the best tuner/mechanic in the state of California, potentially the whole country. Hands down the best customer service I have ever seen from any business, Eugene was always quick to respond and did his best to explain everything he was doing to my car and everything that I messed up on my 370z that needed to be fixed or replaced, he even texted me just to make sure I made it home safe!! For the high quality work that they do it is more than worth it to go there, I know I won't be taking my car anywhere else to get it worked on if I can help it because Enthusiast Auto Care is hands down the best mechanic/tuner shop around!!

I was so tired of waiting on another tuner to tune my NA 370z with EcuTek. I contacted Eugene for the first time on a Saturday. He had me up and running 2 hours later! I am speechless after going around in circles and waiting for responses all week with someone else. If you need something done right and quick he is the man!!! After working with him I can tell he is an amazing tuner, quick and a great, trust worthy guy! He really knows his stuff and really cares. Recently had a clutch and flywheel replacement done on my 2003 G35 sedan at Enthusiast Auto Care. Eugene is the man to go to for your RWD VQ engine car needs. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. A mechanic you can trust. He was upfront right away on any possible issues I might have with a JWT flywheel kit and extra parts I may need. He also looked over the whole car and informed me on some issues that needed fixing. He updated me everyday on the progress of the work with pictures added which I appreciated. He finished the job fairly quickly and did excellent work. Thanks Eugene for the awesome work! Car shifts so much better now!

Let me first start off by saying Eugene at Enthusiast Auto Care is a rare individual left in the car tuning community. I had the pleasure of working with him remotely this weekend in reprogramming and updating the software on my Infiniti. I was unable to get into my local dealership for several weeks and needed to re-flash and update my ECU as per cleaning the throttle bodies they didn't like the extreme air volume change. The car idle was erratic and made the car un-drivable. I searched around online for a solution and stumbled upon some references to this shop in California that can either mail out your ecu or have it remotely worked on. I was very hesitant as i really thought i was going to need something more serious done to get the car running right again. I emailed Eugene last weekend and explained what had happened, within no time he responded back with a simple yes he can fix it. I called him up and ordered a programmer from Enthusiast Auto Care. It showed up Saturday afternoon, Eugene texted me when i was good to go on getting things setup on my end. Fast forward to the following day Sunday evening Eugene called me up to get things wrapped up. Keep in mind he is in California and I am in Nebraska. I plugged my computer into the car via the programmer. He logged into my laptop via some simple remote desktop software and proceeded to get the ECU first updated to proper firmware. That went without a hitch. Next he did the forced relearn of idle air volume which failed, I was worried things were worse than initially thought, but a few clicks and a reset later, he had the car idling back down to within stock parameters. In less than 30 mins he had my car running better and now the throttle response is so much more enjoyable as well! I would of been at least another week out before i would of even gotten into the dealership. I know i would of gotten the run around about needing new parts as this is the common symptom of the forums and this issue. This is all it needed. He is a friendly, very knowledgeable automotive professional with a good reputation on the forums (which again is how I found out about this resolution!) and his precise expertise lives up to the hype in the real world. Alright, so my Supercharged Z engine blew up. I contacted my tuner, let them know, then got ghosted. It makes you feel like you want to sell everything and never look back. This won’t be about that though. This will be about going supercharged, except, doing it right this time. Through the spectacular service that Eugene Turkov and his shop Enthusiast Auto Care has to offer. Communication My experience with tuners is that you call them, leave a voicemail, and wait for a reply, if at all. However, Eugene is the only one that picks up immediately or replies within the hour. Multiple times, Eugene was able to guide me through crucial concerns over the phone: switching from 91 to E85, diagnosing a fuel / exhaust leak, and addressing a check engine light denoting lean conditions. Just recently, I was having issues with my car turning off while driving. I texted Eugene and he promptly gave me a call to troubleshoot it over the phone. That same day, he was able to take my car in and fix the issue. Tuning Services This supercharged Z is my daily driven vehicle, so I want to make sure that no issues occur during normal day-to-day driving. With Eugene’s road tune, we were able to address knocking issues that occurred during red lights, stop signs, and in traffic. I assume that this would have gone unnoticed with a dyno tune. He also programed a flex-fuel option so that I could drive my car anywhere, without worry of what type of gas I need to put. The car is primarily on E85. It starts without any issues, cold or hot. Driving feels as if stock during lower RPMs. However, you can truly feel instant power once you push the pedal in. And it’s smooth. You can feel the boost rising as you go through higher RPMS. Considering the cars I raced, I should be in the high 400s to the low 500s, with the conservative tune. I’m surprised people do not talk about his flames. I am throwing 1 to 3 foot long flames! When mentioning it, he said that he could stop them by adding code to the tune. Nah, I’m keeping them. Mechanical Service Eugene looked at every aspect of my car when I first brought it to his shop. He sent me pictures of slight precipitation in the supercharger fluid and oil, rodent damage, misplaced inner panels, repainted exterior and more. He also sent pictures to update me on the motor swap progress. It’s been 6 months and 5k miles since the motor swap, and still no issues. The oil looks almost new. He pulled apart the blown engine and found bent rods which most likely occurred by turning off knock sensors. California Laws Alright, we all know that going supercharged in Cali is becoming more and more difficult. I want to thank Eugene for helping me acquire the proper documents for the car; from smog to VIN verification and the CARB legal paperwork associated with the Stillen supercharger. If you want absolutely no issues with Cali laws, see Eugene or look into his CARB legal twin turbo kit. You can daily a Supercharged Z. You just need to make sure you have the right tuner. *Test pipe modifcation was for track use only along with any custom tunes or builds.

Eugene is the goat! I was not happy with my supercharger tune. Reaching out to him and in a matter of mins he reach back to me. He won't just tune your car. He will go over the log and review it with you. Any questions or concerns he will address it. For me I wanted reliability and safety for the motor. His tune has safety features built in the tune. Why go with other tuners when all they do is tune it for power without fine tuning the small stuff. Fuel economy, better start up, better low end torque and reliability for the engine. When we reviewed the tune, he found it was using much more fuel on startup, and the ignition time was way off when cruising. If you want to be involved with how your tune gets done and how it starts and drive. Eugene is your guy, most tuner will just tune and get you a dyno number thats it. They really don't care. Your just another number. There are communication delay with other tuners. You have a problem with the tune. Probably take 2-3 days to get a response from other tuners. Tldr: go with Eugene if you want reliability, involvment and fast communication pipeline.

It's official I have begun the tuning process for the Z and wanted to take a minute to leave an honest review of my experience thus far of what it's been like to work with Eugene Turkov. I have been considering tuning my nismo Z34 for quite awhile now, what always put me off of it was the horror stories we have all heard at some point, and the fact that I was under the impression that I would lose the OEM tune incase I ever wanted to take the car back to basics for resale. I knew that If I was going to tune I wasn't going to go with just anyone. I had heard of Eugene in various posts and through word of mouth over the years, and not once did I hear anything bad about him, everyone seemed to praise him as the VQ God and it took me all of maybe 30 mins of speaking to him to realize that what people were saying about this guy was no exaggeration. The first thing I noticed about Eugene is the way he articulates himself, the way his mind works is very analytical and being in a mechanical trade myself I was instantly able to see that the way Eugene's brain works was not like your average gear head, every car enthusiast understands the basics of an engine but it became very clear from my first conversation with Eugene that he understood the VQ platform down to the most finite levels. He clearly articulated that not only does he understand the mechanical aspects of these cars but also understands the science behind them which is key to tuning any car for both peak performance and maximum longevity. The way Eugene seemed to understand the VQ platform was unlike anything I have ever seen before, even in master mechanics who work on these cars day in and out, so I asked what he did for a living and was surprised to find out Eugene is an engineer for NASA. He will tell you that he doesn't want that to be the reason you choose to tune with him but I will tell you from personal experience that based on Eugene's education and experience in his professional life alone, there is no better tuner for the VQ platform on the planet, hands down. Eugene's approach is simple, maximum performance, improved durability, improved longevity, improved efficiency. From the factory the OEM tunes leave a lot to be desired, Eugene quite simply has the knowledge, the experience and the skills to unlock the full potential of the VQ engine like no one else period. The hardest part about the whole process was learning the EcuTek Technologies Ltd program itself, but Eugene was there the entire way, walking me through it step by step. He is incredibly patient and honestly just an overall good dude. Eugene is my tuner for as long as I own this car and I recommend anyone with a VQ to seriously consider working with him, my car feels night and day with just minimal performance mods, I can't even begin to imagine how much he can unlock with more performance modifications. Tuning is a process, working with Eugene you will learn that process, he openly wants you to have the knowledge he has and is very open to teaching everyone he works with. There are other big name shops out there who in my opinion are overhyped for what they offer, you get a copy paste tune with the same maps as everyone else and that is where Eugene separates himself, his process is not a one and done, it is a constantly evolving procedure and he takes his time analyzing the finest details to ensure that his tunes are second to none. If you are considering a tuner for your VQ Enthusiast auto care is the only option you should go with.

Eugene did his job to the best of his ability. When manufacturers sent faulty parts, he handled it the way an honest businessman should. My Q50 is now fully flex-fuel, running like a hellhound and pulling better than the day I got it. He never left me stranded, answered calls even at the worst times, and worked with me every step of the way – even all the way across the country. Despite all the hardware issues the manufacturers threw at us, Eugene kept his word and perfected my tune with the same respect he shows every other customer. The guy knows his stuff.
