First - the gearing for a slide was broken. Second, it it could leak in a motorhome, this one did. Also needed miscellaneous other things and service. All fixed and working or not leaking. Russ is very knowledgeable with about 3 decades of experience. He has serviced our DRV 5th wheel on several occasions. He arrived on time and service was performed in a timely and professional manner. He has fixed a couple things other techs claimed to have fixed but really only patched. In a nutshell, he knows what he is doing, and that is important. My only complaint is that he is so busy that getting on his schedule can sometimes be difficult.

Staying at Oak Alley RV Park in Webster Florida the refrigerator on our 2022 Grand Design 5th wheel quit working. Russ went through a check list and determined the cooling unit had quit. After jumping through hoops with Norcold Russ got approval to replace the unit. Russ was very professional and kept us informed as to what was happening. I would recommend him to anyone in Central Florida. He's a very busy man but he'll do you right. He's been in business many years is fully insured, licensed and is a four star technician. Excellent workmanship in a timely fashion. Thanks Russ for your time and expertise.

We are full timers and have traveled to every state except Hawaii in our RV. We have had our share of RV repair experiences, some good, some bad. 1st Choice RV offers the best RV repair service we have experienced anywhere, period. Russ or Tim show up when they say they will, work efficiently and do not gouge you. They are also very pragmatic. Our Aqua-hot stopped delivering hot water. Aqua-hot advised that we needed a new or rebuilt unit, both of which were north of $8,000. Russ answered the call, devised a bypass piping system using plastic pipe which allowed him to flush the Aqua-hot coil of the lime build up from the Florida water using CLR and vinegar. The Aqua-hot is now fully functional. This repair cost less than $200. Russ saved us over $8,000.

Our 5th wheel was hit by lightning on March 3, 2021. We called First Choice and they came out right away, tested the entire RV, assesed the damage, took pictures, and provided a quote on repairs. He did his best to work with our insurance adjuster who was an absolute nightmare! Took more pictures and provided more detail for the adjuster. The lightning damaged the panel that housed the leveling system control and satellite & cable connectors, the roof satellite dish, air antenna, surge protector, one a/c, power transfer switch, sound system, digital monitoring system, and the dishwasher. Repairs were done timely and professionally. We even had a supplemental claim about a month later due to the lightning strike which involved our power coming into the RV - the power cord reel failed. We called them and even though they were working on another job, they made an emergency call to get our power going again, ordered the part that failed, and once it came in, they came out and installed it promptly. All repairs totalled about $12,000. I can't say enough good things about their professionalism and expertise. They should be your "First Choice" for all of your mobile RV repairs!

Russ and team came to look at an ac issue.Turns out he isn't certified in GE but looked anyway.He took care of everything start to finish and got Ge to warranty both of my units.We are back in business and Tennessee bound in 10 days.Thank you Russ and crew for taking the time to help us out and get us going again. I needed my Schwintek slide repaired, actually both "H Racks" needed to be replaced. The first mobile repair company I contacted would not work on a slide. I was given the name of First Choice Mobile RV Service and contacted Russ. He came and diagnosed my problem, ordered the parts and performed the work after the parts arrived. I am extremely pleased with the work Russ and Tim completed. They were very knowledgeable about the repair which reassured me that I had made the correct choice. I highly recommend First Choice Mobile RV Service and will definitely use them again if/when needed and I'm in the area.

Russ, the owner, is a joke. He came to my house for three issues: 1. basement door leaking, 2. install tv mount and 3. check front door because it was hard to close. After Russ left (and charged me $200) I now have a tv mount installed that wiggles like unset jello, a basement door that still leaks and a front door that you still have to slam shut. I called his office because grand design is willing to approve the repairs and fix the issues properly, all they require is a written estimate. Well guess what… Russ actually believes I should pay ANOTHER house call fee for the written estimate. As you can imagine, I will be using another tech and I recommend anyone else needing a repair does the same!!!

First Choice Mobile RV Service is a first class operation. Russ, the owner, is a very experienced RV technician. Tim, his associate, is also extremely qualified. The two of them have done several jobs (a/c repair; sealed and recaulked roof; and electrical work) on our 2007 Allegro Bus and we've been extremely pleased with their work. They are very competent, responsible and dependable. If you are in need of some RV repairs, you won't be disappointed in First Choice. They do great work and are reasonable.

Can’t recommend this company enough! We were hit by Helene and our RV was totaled. We really loved the one we had and did not want to move. They came out and fixed almost everything during the first visit. They ordered a furnace and awnings for us and will be back out to fix them as soon as the items come in.
