First time customer. When I called needing somewhat quick service, (my brakes on my Civic were grinding) Logan was so nice and helpful getting me a same-day appointment. When I arrived, Aldo was also wonderful getting me all checked in. Lindsey did the test drive with me and I really appreciated how comfortable she made me feel while I was trying to explain the sound I’d been hearing. They needed to order parts so my car had to stay over night and they provided me with a complimentary ride home. Aldo kept me informed about progress on repairs and my car was ready earlier than expected the next day. As someone who not a “car person”, it can be nerve wracking to take my car in for service but I felt like the staff at First Class HALT were very trustworthy and they never made me feel stupid or like they would recommend service that wasn’t actually needed. The quality of service and customer care was unparalleled and I will absolutely be a repeat customer!

They did a great job diagnosing and fixing my 2018 Lexus GX 460. My alternator bearing was bad and they got me turned around in less than 48 hours with a new alternator (bearing cannot be repaired or replaced). Offered courtesy Uber rides and directed me to a nice rental that was only $50 for a full size. They kept me updated by text and call and the repair seems to have done the trick 🤞🏻 I like that they only use OEM parts too. They aren’t cheap but feel they can be trusted to get you fixed up right. I will return, but hopefully not too soon 😅

I brought my vehicle to this shop because it would only start after tapping the starter. I explained the issue, including the diagnostic tests I had already performed. and told them exactly what needed to be done. The next morning, I received a call saying I needed a “Level 2 diagnostic” costing $333 to confirm the failure. I specifically asked if they could just replace the starter without doing the extra diagnostic, and they said that was fine. However, when I checked back later that afternoon (seven hours later), I was suddenly told they wouldn’t replace the part unless I paid for the diagnostic anyway. At that point, I decided to take my vehicle elsewhere. The second shop replaced the starter with no issues — $125 for labor and $100 for parts — a total of $225 instead of nearly $800 at HALT

Mark, the owner, personally contacted me multiple times to address my last experience, personally apologize, and I am very pleased with the measures he has taken. His actions demonstrate strong leadership as well as his commitment to customer experience, and it is truly commendable to find an owner who acknowledges mistakes and works proactively to correct them in a friendly and professional manner. We have agreed upon the followings: 1. The staff behavior was addressed, and additional training will be provided for the Cherrydale team. 2. Customer communication will improve, particularly for those unfamiliar with automotive terminology. 3. Long-term, loyal customers will consistently receive the utmost care, reflecting FCH's core values. Despite my previous experience, I have decided to update my review to 5 stars given the immediate and appropriate measures taken by the ownership to address the issues I described. ######## 7/23: I would like to express my disappointment regarding a recent service experience at FCH establishment in Cherrydale. As a loyal customer for the past 12 years, I have consistently chosen this shop for my vehicle's maintenance, dating back to when it was a smaller operation on Roper Mountain Road. I have likely invested over $10,000 in services over the years and have always valued the quality of work, even with the understanding that FCH pricing was on the higher side. I even recall the early days when Mark was establishing the business with his wife's assistance. However, my most recent visit was significantly different from my previous positive experiences. The service technician I interacted with exhibited a nonchalant and somewhat rude demeanor. I was presented with a request for a $250 diagnostic fee, seemingly due to my car being deemed "too old" for a standard inspection of the tires, brakes, or battery. I opted not to proceed with the diagnostic fee as I prefer to have a clear understanding of the services and issues being addressed. Furthermore, when I requested an oil change sticker, I was informed that they had run out, and the technician's body language conveyed a desire for me to depart since I did not opt for additional services. This experience was quite unusual and personally upsetting, especially given the high standards I have come to expect from FCH. While my past positive experiences with FCH lead me to rate this visit 3 stars, I would have provided a 1-star rating if I were a new customer. This incident, unfortunately, will likely compel me to explore other automotive service providers in the future.

I adore these people and this place. Treat me like family, never feel like I'm being taken advantage of, excellent work above and beyond at my request, knowledge and overall just professional. Reward points help pay for the next repair. Their sign tells you their monthly promotions and they are substantial so pay close attention, but they will also alert you to vendor promotions. Highly recommend....its a dealership quality place without the hassle and high prices. Oh, and its a hybrid Prius. They have a specialist for that.

I have nothing but high praise for First Class HALT. The service and attentiveness I received went beyond my expectations. Brian specifically kept me informed daily on the progress of a back ordered part and called American Honda persistently to expedite the process. Can't say enough good things about my first experience with First Class H.A.L.T. - Cherrydale. Great staff up front that make you feel like family as soon as you walk in the door. Since it was my first visit, the Service Manager, Randy Gallman, took me around and introduced me to every technician working in the back. I thought that was a classy touch. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation, but they did point out a couple of relatively minor things that needed to be addressed in the future. I went ahead and had them taken care of since I was already there, but there was no pressure whatsoever about having them done. Had several great conversations with my Service Advisor, Sabian Ash and others in the office as well. It was great to sit in the very nice waiting room and just listen to them all talk to one another like they were all glad to be there and be friendly towards one another. A couple of other great things were the follow up call the next day to be sure I was satisfied and a handwritten note from Sabian thanking me for my business. Just an overall great experience that will absolutely have me coming back!

Fantastic experience. Needed to get solid information to make a decision about my Totota. They gave me exactly what I needed to know. Didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need.
