Called to get a general inspection of my kinda old Prius. No specific issue but wanted it to be in good shape before passing to my kiddo. Brian picked up my call, got me an appt next day. Like, wow. It’s located in a mini strip next to “little swimmers”. For the price of an oil change and fluid top offs, a general inflection was included. I was told my tires were on its last legs and I agreed as Costco just told me the same. My whole appt took 1 hr, enough time to walk to Costco and eat a lunch worths of samples. The coat was extremely reasonable, the staff was friendly and helpful, the office was clean (I’ve never seen magazines called garden and guns) , and it was a great experience. Highly recommend. Special shout out to Brian, whom everyone seems to appreciate.

Had my car in again for service today (12/1/25). Ten stars again, reasonable prices, excellent service! Love being able to have my car serviced by Five Star who has never let me down going on 22 years now. I used to work nights commuting from Antioch to SF, never stranded, taking BART from Concord. Today, I walked my dogs while my truck was serviced. If you have an older model vehicle like I do, they manage to get the parts to fix it. I will never get rid of my 2005 Dodge Ram. Checked below are all the services I’ve had over the years. I’m almost on year 21now with Five Star and my 2005 Dodge RAM still runs great. I love the new Monument location because it is one block away from my favorite grocery store on the corner of Detroit and Monument. Last Wednesday after returning from San Jose very hungry and tired, I left my key in the ignition in the on position causing my battery to go dead and Five Star owner was kind enough to bring me a new battery to my house and install it on his way into work today which was very nice I didn’t have to have a stranger come to my house . Feel very lucky to have Five Star maintaining my vehicle year-after-year. Coming by my house, was really nice and above and beyond. I’ve never wanted another vehicle besides my truck and am so happy Five Star works on older model vehicles besides new. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️10 Stars!⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Finding a trustworthy mechanic can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack, but my search ended at Five Star Automotive. Despite it being my initial visit, Brian immediately earned my trust. My car had a tricky sensor issue that other shops were quoting as a very expensive fix. Brian, however, was completely transparent and resolved the problem expertly and honestly. Went for an oil change, and the front desk guy called me “cupcake” and “sweetheart”. Will never be coming back here. Heard good things and had a great experience in the past with the owner himself. Front desk guy was extremely rude and I will be filing a sexual harassment complaint with the owner. NEVER go here unless you can contact the owner directly!!!

Came here for my first time today for an oil change based on Google reviews. No appointment (will do that in the future.) Great communication. The guy at the desk let me know right away I had arrived just at the start of lunch break, so I went and got lunch, too. They had already started by the time I got back. Clear, prompt communication while I waited. Added a new cabin filter based on their inspection. Still ended up paying less than half of what I had been paying at another shop. Will be back.

Maybe about 7-8 years ago I took my 1968 Jeepster Commando here for an oil change. This shop refused to change my oil. "I don't know any shop that would change the oil on a car that old," they told me. Well here we are 8 years and 16 shops later, and literally no other shop has refused to change my oil. Doesn't seem to be an issue for anyone else. I don't know what was this shop's problem.

Thank you Five Star!!! This shop does great work, but more importantly has excellent customer service, and will be both upfront/honest with repairs needed! I had a check engine light on caused by a purge valve, and it idled roughly. I replaced the part myself, bad idea, lol. The shop diagnosed everything, and found the new part I replaced was actually faulty from the manufacturer. But, what caused the rough idle was an issue I had previously that the shop repaired. A part that had been previously replaced had failed. Brian took ownership, and repaired the problem under warranty at no cost. People in general and mechanics with this kind of mentality are very few and far between! If you need automotive assistance in the East Bay (Concord), check out Five Star, you won't be disappointed!

5 STARS from me. I had a great experience with Five Star Auto this week. They did both and rear brake roster replacements for my Acura MDX at competitive cost and most importantly they fixed my window washer system with very little cost. Others had told me that my washer pump needs replacement and the nozzle system may also need replacement with several hundreds of dollars based on cost estimates from others. Although I told Five Star Auto folks that I need washer pump replacement with possible replacement of the nozzle system as well, the Five Star Auto folks told me that it is their professional responsibility and they only do the right thing. They surely did which saved me hundreds of dollars they found the washer pump was perfectly fine. Folks are also friendly and easy to work with. I strongly recommend the Five Star Auto to anyone who needs auto repairs.
