This is my BMW and Frank got me for $18,000 to fix it top and all and my car still not running right Frank is not a honest man and his word is not good con man so watch out for him

I took my Car to Frank shop because I was told him was fair and honest,I had a issue with my front end on my car,He did the work and charged me $300 dollars and he said I needed additional work done on it,I had a noise at the same place I had the noise before,I took it back and he said it would cost me$800 dollars so I took it to a family Mechanic and he said it was just fine he said was nothing wrong with it and charge me nothing,The reason that don’t go to my family Mechanics was because it was so far away. I would be careful when you take your car to Franks garage.

I can only speak from my own experience, but when I needed work on my car, not only was Frank open on Saturday and able to take my car right away (unlike another "reputable" and very high priced Berkeley shop I have used in the past) his price quote was MUCH more reasonable as well. Frank is very friendly, forthright, and I believe, honest. He showed me the parts that were replaced, and explained the problem. When there was a new noise I noticed after the repair, he immediately took the car back in and fixed it, and even offered further "no cost" repairs if the problem persisted. It is a no frills shop, but I feel that Frank runs an honest business and treats his customers like valued members of his own community. This is hard to find.

At Frank’s you will find fair and honest service. I have trusted my car with Frank for several years now and I am always happy with my experience there. Car repairs are expensive in general, but here I never feel overcharged. They are very thorough so the work is done right, and done right the first time. He also has a great network of car folks in the Bay Area if you need help with other car related devices (selling your car, etc.) so he is easily the most helpful mechanic I’ve ever worked with. Also important, Frank and his team are very kind people, and I always feel that I’m in the best hands here. All in all I can not recommend this place more! Thank you so much, Frank!

Love working with Frank! He did our pre-purchase inspection and spotted out a few really crucial issues of the car we were planning to purchase. His service is excellent and the price is fair, (30-50% cheeper than 2 other shops’ quotes I called in the area). He is an expert in cars and was very patient on explaining what I need to be careful if I want to purchase this used car and how to fix it for longer drive. I would come back to this shop again for other services.

A little over 3 weeks ago my car wouldn't shift out of park. I do some preemptive investigating and it seems like the break-light switch needs to be replaced. Now according to a random website this should cost between $75-$100. Frank charged $165. He installed the part same day within a couple hours. No waiting around for days until they get to the vehicle. He was extremely nice and professional. This is where the story should end. Unfortunately 22 days later the same thing happens (car won't shift out of park). I take the car over to Franks to see if he can investigate the cause. He says he will do so at no cost. He gets back to me within a couple hours and says that it looks like the switch that they initially installed was defective (it can happen) and they are purchasing/installing a replacement at no cost to me. Over all I'm very happy with the experience and will definitely be considering coming back when future problems occur. Pros: Fast, friendly, professional, Trustworthy and reliable Cons: might be a little pricey (keep in mind Frank is in Berkeley where everything is more expensive not in the middle of nowhere where everything is cheaper) Final note If you need a local trustworthy mechanic I'd highly recommend Frank. Quality work and honest, something very important to a mechanic - where most people can be easily swindled into unnecessary and expensive "fixes"

Frank is frank! He gave me a list of my newly purchased used car ( I wish I asked him for the check before buying it.) all issues he said did happen. I asked him at the time to only work on the most pressing issues. As the bill was too much (and I thought he was exaggerating to be honest) he wasn’t. 6 months later it happened the issues he was referring to. I bought it to another cheaper mechanic who created another issue by using cheap parts and oil.. Frank made my car good again by spotting these issues (that no other mechanic knew what it was) I strongly recommend Frank to take care of your car and do a general check-up before buying a new used car. I knew Frank for around a year and he keeps his words and have good communication (he actually calls you to inform you about what is the issue, give exact cost in short amount of time, very professional)

I know it’s hard to find a really good mechanic. Trust me I know. I was strung out with a dud 2011 ford ranger I drove off the lot two n half years ago. Couple months later the transmission died. Frank was open and honest about what the truck needed. The water tank was also cracked he quoted me really below the market price to have everything replaced. He even threw in a year warranty of work on the transmission. The engine took a minute to break in and every time I got a scare Frank was there to make sure everything was okay. I recently got my fuel filter replaced within a hour. All of his services and work from his team has been great. I highly recommend Franks auto service! I will continue to take my ranger to him for service.

Frank and his team are fantastic. A+ service and skills. As a student tight on money, I was quite stressed to figure out the damages from a recent fender bender. First of all, Frank was able to assess things free of cost. This assessment was rare to get for free — most other shops that I talked to in East Bay wouldn't even look at my car for free. In just 10min, he immediately explained the issues and an estimate of the costs. He was honest and gave me plenty of time to think on it. After coming back a couple weeks later, he honored that quote and took my car in. Once I got a call a few days later, I was happy to see my car fixed up (bumper, fender, headlight) and in an even better shape than I left it — the exterior was washed/polished and even small things on the interior were fixed up after some wear and tear over the years. I was very impressed. Best of all, no hidden fees or tricks. What I was told for the estimate was what I paid. The service is top-notch and I'll be returning for all my auto repair, general servicing, and body work in the future. Frank is extremely personable, funny, honest, and transparent.
