“Think Twice Before You Trust This Business!!!!” I went to Friends Auto Care located at 4110 N Jim Miller Rd Dallas Texas 75227 to obtain a vehicle inspection. The auto body shop connected my vehicle to their machine to perform my inspection and I was advised my vehicle would not pass inspection. I asked why and they printed out a sheet to inform me of the things that needed repair on my vehicle before it would pass inspection. The owner said he would repair my vehicle so it would pass. I asked how much it elicits and he told me $850. He said there is a shortage in my vehicle and asked if I was in a place where rats could have eaten away at my wires. I told him no. Before taking my vehicle to him I had no issues with my car. But I trusted he was telling me the truth, so I agreed on allowing him to repair my vehicle. I left my car there with him the same day and he said he would be working on it. He called me the following day to tell me he found that that my Camshaft needed replacing and something about my gas cap needed tightening. He said the total cost would be $1400 . I told him I don’t have $1400 for this repair. He replied and said ma’am please you really need this repair for your car to pass inspection and to be safely driven. He said, I tell you what, I’ll do it for you for $1200. He says I won’t charge all the labor cost. I just want to help you and I will even do your car inspection for free included in the $1200. I agreed and he said my car will be ready the next day. He called and said your car is ready the following day. He said I will still need to drive my car about 90 miles before it will pass inspection. I thought was strange and asked why won’t it pass now? He said just drive it and bring it back after and I will pass your inspection and you’ll be set. I agreed and did that. I drove it 90 miles. I then brought it back a few days later to have the inspection done. He looked at me and ignored me as I pulled up and sat on my car waiting on an attendant to come and ask me what I needed help with. He was just standing around talking to mechanics. They all saw me but didn’t ask me what I needed help with. So I asked, “ excuse me, excuse me” “ can you help me with my inspection today?” He then walked over to my car and said, “ I’m sorry but my machine is broken”” . I said, “ so you can’t inspect my vehicle today?” He said, “ sorry I don’t know what happened my machine just broke.” I then knew something was wrong. I also told him that my engine light just came on today and I didn’t know why. He said let me check. He hooked my vehicle up once again to his machine and stated it was a loose cord to the Camshaft and he would tighten it up. Him and his mechanics did something under my hood , with the machine connected and the light went off. He said drive your car another 50 miles and it would pass inspection. I said, “ come on dude what is really wrong with my car?” “ And why can’t you inspect it?” He said, “ well the state suspended my machine for inspection for 12 months! “ He said he wasn’t sure why, but my car will pass an inspection after I drive it for another 50 miles. At this point I knew he was lying and had just hustled me for $1200. Still I went to 3 other inspection shops after driving it another 50 miles and they all said my vehicle would not pass. The last shop said there are no errors, but the result says “No Pass”. I’m not sure what this man did to my car , but I am filing a formal complaint with Texas State. I notified him of the results of my inspection from 3 other inspectors and asked why my car still won’t pass. I sent him a text message about my experience with other inspectors that all could not pass my vehicle. There were no specific error codes, but the result still came back as no pass. He never responded. Now I know I was defrauded because I’m going to a new mechanic who said he never fixed anything in my car. He basically just scammed me out of my money!!!!! Be careful before you trust this business.

I just called up there to see if they had availability for inspections. Someone answered the phone “yeah” and then told me they don’t do that here and hung up in my face. I’m not going to lie. I laughed because what is even going on here? 😂 3 stars for humor though.

I took my car to this shop for what should have been a quick and simple oil change. They told me it would be done fast, but I ended up waiting way longer than promised with no explanation or updates. When I finally got my car back, I later discovered they shorted me on the oil change — clearly not using the proper amount or doing the job correctly. This place is untrustworthy and completely unprofessional. They don’t keep their word, and it feels like they’re trying to cut corners whenever they can. I don’t feel confident they even performed the service properly. I absolutely do not recommend this shop to anyone, and I will never be going back. Save your time and money — go somewhere reputable.

Fast service price was 60 dollars for 2 tires with multiple nails \ for those wondering patching a tire goes like this remove nail grind around puncture so the cement glue can be applied. Was it worth it I don't know but they did the job so I paid for what they did

THIS SHOP MADE MY VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE, AND THE OWNER CUSSED ME OUT: came in for a flex pipe exhaust to be put on. first car at the shop, still took 3 hours to even look at it (after the OWNER telling me to come in at that time & day). spends another 2 hours playing in my exhaust and taking my car for a joyride, tells me they can’t fix it after chopping off parts of it. the OWNER cusses me out and tells me to not come back when i agree w the OWNER that it isn’t worth paying them for making my car worse. swing by if you have time to waste & want to be disrespected.

took my car here and paid about $200 expecting my issue to be properly diagnosed and repaired. Instead, the problem came right back shortly after. It felt like they either rushed the job or didn’t actually fix the real issue. When I called and spoke to the owner about it, I wasn’t offered any real help, re-inspection, or solution. He basically dismissed the situation instead of standing behind the work. In Texas, repairs are supposed to be done in a good and workmanlike manner, and customers shouldn’t have to pay again for the same problem days later. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what I was facing here. If you’re looking for a shop that communicates, takes responsibility, and stands behind their work, this is not the place. I wouldn’t recommend bringing your vehicle here unless you’re okay with paying and still having the same problem afterward.

Come to this place for tire sensors we talked to the owner before bringing the tires and we agreed on a price came to install them and he came with the bs saying it was more because he need it to unmount and mount and now he wanted 40 more to balanced them stay away from this place go to Carrol HAMS do it better and for a better price not to mention I had to put the tires inside my car never again

Let me just say. It is rare to find a mechanic that will give you a great price and excellent service. As a woman, a car issue brings great stress. You are not sure what's wrong with the car, and shops tend to try to take advantage and upsell women. Ladies this is the place for you. You can feel confident with Mr. Kareem. He will take care of you and your car. He also accepts car service plans. It a win, win, win situation for men and women. Go see Kareem. He will take care of you. I took my car to Chevy. They wanted to charge $300 for a diagnostic test. Mr. Kareem took care of my car, fixed the issue. I just had to pay the $100 deductible. You can trust him. You won't regret the decision.

Ehab and his stuff did an excellent work on my car, got a good price and job was done in less then a day! They replaced my AC compressor, replaced the front struts and replaced 3 engine mounts! I had an issue with the brakes on my 1978 Chrysler. Pep Boys tried and gave up and Ger’s brake service said they don’t work on older cars. Friends Auto Care solved my problem quickly and economically. The shop owner personally kept me informed throughout, gave me options for parts, and followed through on promises. The price was as quoted; no shenanigans. Friends Auto Care is aptly named…I left feeling like a friend and will definitely return for future auto repair needs.

I noticed my tire was nearly flat one Saturday & Friends Auto Care is a couple blocks down, so I drove slow. When I arrived they immediately & politely asked how they could help. Since I had a screw on the edge of my tire they suggested a plug would work better than a patch, plus it was less expensive. They lifted my car, removed my tire, inserted the plug, put the tire back on, I paid & tipped because all of this was under 10 minutes! The gentlemen here were all very kind & very helpful. I took a 2017 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor Utility in to the shop it was a vehicle i was considering buying. They looked at everything. Engine leaks possible rust amazing job the wait was not bad at all. The mechanic that checked it was fine with me standing and looking while he was checking it out. The other 2 guys i met were cool and nice I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT.

First of all, they lie when they tell you the price for wheel alignment. They say it's $60, but they only adjust the toe. If you need anything else, it costs $200 just for the front. I waited there for two hours and they did a bad job, so I went back the next day. My truck was pulling to one side and the steering wheel was out of alignment. I was there on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They tried and never fixed it and started telling me the problem was with my truck. I decided to leave and today I took my truck to Firestone and they fixed it perfectly for the same price. They do a complete alignment in the back and front, and for $40 more, they give you lifetime alignment, so it was a mistake to go there. I spent a lot of money for nothing, so I recommend you go somewhere else

The owner of the shop is very kind, direct and accommodating. They work very quickly at making sure you get a good deal and that everything flows effectively. Leo did an excellent job with the suspension and Gustavo handled the alignment, both in record times. Car is back in shape and driving straight again and I feel so much better knowing my partner is safe in his car. We couldn't be more grateful to have these guys in our neighborhood. Thank you we will be back!
