While traveling through from South Carolina to Ohio, I picked up a nail along the highway. Upon calling AAA & learning they would take 3 hours to come to my rescue, I called GATE CITY TIRE, not only were the gentleman extremely friendly & helpful, they stopped everything they were doing to get me back on the road Immediately! I Cannot Thank them enough for the Kind, Prompt, Professional, Service they provided a Stranded Distraught Lady traveling through! If I could give them 10 Stars I would!! “Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on you. “My 86 yr. old mother went to get her tires rotated and to find a slow leak in one tire at Gate City because she previously purchased 4 tires there. She waited inside. A little later he told her he couldn’t find a leak but he rotated them. She left & car notified her that a tire had low pressure. She went to another tire shop, they found a small nail but that tire was still on the same side & location before stopping at Gate City. He did NOT even rotate those tires. He lied to that precious 86 yr. old lady. She had to pay to have her tires rotated and getting the nail out. What a pathetic, low life!!

Took my vehicle here to see exactly what the problem was. Gentleman, which happened to be the owner, helped me within minutes of being there. Showed me what the problem was and what the cost would be to fix it. Honest garage with affordable rates. Definitely making an appointment to have repairs done.

I dont post many google reviews but felt compelled to post this. Came through Ashland with my 5th wheel camper and blew a tire. Threw my spare on and kept on rolling. The spare was a dud and blew almost immediately. Limped my poor camper to the shop and tried to get 2 replacements for my terrible luck. They didnt have my specific tire in stock but had one i could limp home (roughly an hour and a half away) on. I insisted he sell me those tires because i was in a bit of a rush. Owner refused and instead called another shop in Ashland to get the correct tire. He paid for it out of his pocket and charged me no markup. The shop guys humored me and checked over the rims with me for any problems. Its so refreshing to have a repair shop doing honest business these days. If they were more local to me they would get all my business. If i had any regrets its that i couldn’t leave more of a tip for the guys there. They helped me so much getting my camper home in the time crunch i put myself in.
