I have been a loyal customer of this place for over 10 years. The head mechanic is awesome and well informed on cars! He has always helped me when I was in need and he will do the same for you. He has great labor rates and very friendly and quick service. Plus he does everything the old fashioned way...drives your car and listens without charging you a diagnostic test! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

It took me several years to find a trustworthy mechanic in Buffalo. There's lots of unscrupulous people in the industry. Mike @ Genesee reminds me of an uncle who took care of my automotive needs back home. He's friendly, honest, super knowledgeable, and efficient. He remembers your name and never talks down to you. People like Mike represent the best of Buffalo. He's worked on my Toyota Yaris, Honda Element, BMW 323i, Chevy Malibu and our Ford E-250 work van. You need to drop your car off... leave it there. Mike is super busy, most excellent mechanics are... so u will have to earn your way up the guest list... appointments? Come on man? What the hell?

If your a woman or a person of color do not go to this mechanic. I brought my car to this mechanic Genesee Auto Repair on 6/21/22 with a deposit of $500.00 Called & checked on my car every week. All i got him telling me is that I'm working on it thats all he kept saying. From 6/21 until 8/15/22. He kept putting me off getting rude and short with me. I tried to retrieve my call logs from Spectrum mobile they informed me i need a court order. On 8/15/22 I went there to get my car with triple A and he refused to give me my $500.00 at first and said it was for storage fees. I said What storage when you were supposed to be working on my car for 2 months. So, then he wrote a check for $450.00 & took $50.00 off for no reason at all as he did not touch or do anything to the vehicle as far as i know. Then i went to go cash the check and Citizens bank charged me $7.00 to cash it. This mechanic did not get charged any extra when i gave him the deposit of $500.00 so why am I getting shorted out. I called him and not once did he attempt to call me.

Excellent service. Mike is a skilled technician. I have been taking my vehicles to him for about 15 years. He always confirms what needs to be done before doing the service, and doesn't try to sell you anything you don't need. It is rare these days to find someone as honest, friendly, respectful.

This is our mechanic now. After utilizing chain mechanics we decided to try this establishment. We are very pleased. This is why the 5 stars nomination. The owner also is one if the mechanics. He told me what was wrong with my nissan. I brought the part and he charged the labor only. He did these repair twice. He is very busy so call to make appointment. He usually will ask what the repair is first or if it is an oil change or inspection. You will not regret going to this repair shop. He is nice and very honest.

Been going here for a bit now, and all I have to say is great things about their shop!. Mike and the rest are great people. I brought multiple vehicles to them some with problems other people couldn't figure out that had to be towed in and he figured them out! They Always try there hardest to get you in as soon as possible,and charges a fair price for any work that needs to be done. Would recommend their shop to anyone. Even if I relocated 40+ miles away I would still bring my car here, as a good honest mechanic is hard to find nowdays.

My regular mechanic retired so I'm been looking for a new place to get my car serviced at and my thermostat went on my car I took it to Genesee automotive repair to have it changed. 2 and a half months later my check engine light came on for the same code(p0597) when the thermostat went the first time so took it back to Genesee automotive repair with the autozone print up of the problem and the code my car had and they wouldn't look at the car unless I showed a receipt. Took it somewhere else since they won't back their work without proof(no word on the part had a warranty either) and the thermostat Genesee automotive repair put in had a bad sensor in it causing the check engine light to come on. The mechanics are OK the one that worked on my car wasn't there but the owner of the establishment is a very rude older gentleman he talks down to his customers. And if you have a question or concern you have to stop by in person to talk to them because no one there answers their phone. It was my first and last time my car will be serviced there

Really liked this place to start, but I believe was a communication lapse, has brought me here to leave this review. First I think the owner insulted me, won’t blame it on color but he said I know your on a budget, I’m not the richest, and I live in America as well where everything is tight, not a problem I can live with that mistake. Not only was I a customer I brought my wife’s car as well. She needed brakes and rotors, which Mike called and told me a price , which I was cool with. Maybe 45 mins later. Someone else calls from his shop and now he is saying a caliber, so I get a lil skeptical , so after our conversation the man says how about I put it back together the way it was and charge you a 100$ dollars. Fine with me because now I have trust issues with the place and don’t know what to believe, which I failed to mention in this story that my car was Sopose to be worked on from previous work that they did which ended up leaking that they never addressed. Talk about pissed. Unfortunately I can’t go back because I’m in business as well, and right or wrong you don’t treat paying customers the way I was treated at this place. I would not ever recommend this place to anyone. Buyer beware of up charges
