If disrespect, pure ignorance and poor treatment is what you’re looking for, then the German American club is for you! Poor treatment from start to finish. My sister held what should have been one of the most memorable moments in her life (her baby shower) and it was ruined by the ignorance and disrespect of the staff and manager. I do NOT recommend anyone rent this hall. No one should be treated the way my family and friends were treated that night.

I love this place. The beer is great. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is Like Octoberfest every weekend. Only with out the drunk people. It is a wonderful representation of the great culture of Germany. Probst!!

Unreal how poorly we were treated by the workers here. With the exception of Christine the bartender, everyone treated us as if we were garbage. Never again will I look for their services. A good impression goes a long way with customer service, but a bad one goes even longer. The way the workers were screaming at us from the moment we were setting up to the moment we were leaving was unreal and disgusting. I will make sure no one I know seeks this hall for any rentals.

Oktoberfest 2017 celebration was disappointing. The food was expensive, not cooked properly, and they ran out of many things. Didn't see one hot pretzel in the whole place. Not a family friendly event as billed on Facebook. Granted, it is a volunteer run organization.

Extremely disappointed and disgusted with the treatment at this location. Richard the man in charge of hall rentals was extremely rude and confrontational. The closing staff one women in particular was walking around kicking everyone out completely uncalled for and unacceptable. We tried to move as quickly as possible to break down and leave however it didn’t seem to be quick enough since they continued to become disrespectful to our guest and extremely ignorant and rude. Considering the amount they charge for the hall (over priced) I would expect some consideration however we receive anything but great service. I do understand there are rules for a reason but it’s not WHAT YOU SAY BUT HOW YOU SAY IT ! I hope with this review the president of the hall realizes what kind of staff he has and the bad service they are providing.

We rented the hall for a friends baby shower and what a DISAPPOINTMENT. This place was overly expensive we had to pay extra money for having the hall for a full 6 hrs. As well we had to pay extra to be able to set up the hall for the event. The gentelmen who handles the hall rentals Richard was very rude and ignorant when we were setting up there yelling at us and threatening to keep the deposit as well as charge extra. Since we were there setting up before the party they wouldn’t even sell us water and 2 out of the 3 bartenders were rude as well at the end of the night we were trying to clean up and gather our stuff as fast as possible and they were yelling and threatening us as well it got to the point that the cop who we had to hire was helping us clean up! I don’t recommend the place not worth the frustration time and the amount of money that was spent!

Awesome German club on 2 floors with an awesome stage and 2 bars! There was a C.J. Chenier, Zydeco concert and we attended. Thought it very cool that they book shows like this at a German hall. They also served some German dishes and full bar with several great German beers on tap. We will be back!

Went to Oktoberfest here. It was a blast and had authentic live music including the long horn (forgot what its called). Musicians and dancers really got into it and the audience as well. I highly recommend this place. I also rated a German club in Massachusetts that I found to be kind of stuck up with social clicks and strata within the club members. This place in Pawtucket is the opposite thank God. Everyone was friendly and enjoyable to be around. They were down to earth and inclusive of newcomers.

Excellent beer at a great price. Food is also reasonably good (and local German food is hard to find). Food prices are a little high for the portion size, but no matter. The once-monthly Trachtenabend is also fun as are the special events.

Wonderful little place, affordable and delicious food. Has the feel of a pub. It's the kind of place where a man walks around accepting donations for the live music and the dessert is a home-made brownie dish that you serve yourself from. It helps to speak and be German, of course, but everyone there speaks English and are very welcoming to all nationalities.

Food wasn't restaurant quality, but for the venue, it was very good. Beer was excellent, atmosphere very friendly and fun. I ended up spending a lot of money, but I don't feel like it was wasted. We got live accordion (and other) music, and several of the patrons were dressed in traditional garb. I will definitely return.

As far as bars go I really enjoy this one. They have inside and outside seating, cheap beers and a great atmosphere. You wont find your favorite domestic beer here but you will find tons of tasty German varieties. They offer sausages but I have yet to partake in any food. I have never been greeted with anything but a warm welcome. We bring card games and relax, laugh and drink for a few hours.

I visited the Christmas in July Fair and it was small but quite enjoyable! There were about ,20 vendors selling crafts and 4 food booths. Well 3 food booths with one booth selling a nice selection of European beers. The bratwurst was authentic European and the potato pancakes were fabulous! They host a dinner every Friday and I will certainly give that a try.

I went there for the Oktoberfest on Sunday. The place was pretty full and a lot of happy patrons. I had the potato salad and leberkaes, it was okay. The prices were really reasonable. I was disappointed that they didn't serve Radler or Cola weizen. But I will try to go back on 1 of their regular Friday nights.

The best "secret" beer bar in RI, featuring a great list of imported German beers, many of them rare for the region. They're only primarily open on Fridays, but do special events others days of the week, month, and year, including Fasching (German Mardi Gras), Krampusnacht, etc. They serve great basic German meals every Friday, but once a month is Trachtenabend when many folks come in traditional kit and they have a special menu. The vibe is kinda your Oma German grandmother's favorite Bingo hall, but it's a comfort space for folks of all stripes, ages, etc. So unknown by so many, but a fave for a great few.
