Seems like charging 10 times the cost of parts is acceptable. Never come here if your in NEED because they will charge you way too much for something you can do yourself for a fraction of the price. I cant suggest looking elsewhere any more then I have, if you do need professional help look at the neighboring mechanics and ask around to get ideas on pricing. A quick summary of my experience was they estimated the price to be 1,800$ I found I couldn't afford it so I called to see if there was any chance they could lower the amount. After an hour or so he called and said the best they could do was 1,200$. But I couldn't afford even that (that is my fault, I know that) so I requested to just hault all fixes and I would take it home. After getting it towed home I found that the cost for the equipment was only 112$ online and the labor was an easy 30 minute video on YouTube and a few hours of trying it out in actual practice. Saving nearly 1100$ I cant find a real reason why paying for all their employees salary is necessary for my simple fix. TL;DR : Find the price of the parts you need, your research and time will save you a boat load in the long run. Also hard pass on this shop. Decent guys but charge way too much.

low rating is because of the recent service I had done on my car which was not from Jake. I'd give this business 5 stars because of Jake. Jake is very trustworthy and professional unlike those 2 new guys who I think were from Salinas(I could be wrong)who worked on my car. It just proves how hard it is to find a very good mechanic who's also honest unlike those 2 employees. Id only go here if Jake worked on my car but he's too busy and can't fault him for that. But I'd have to recommend another auto repair place if I would leave my car with those 2 employees again. BTW, each time I arrived or left the shop there were both women and men angry and frustrated about the service..they were loudly arguing with the receptionist. Those were clear warnings that I should've never returned here

Been using this shop for several years and always had a good outcome. There have been a few times that I have had issues but Goodyear has stood behind their work and resolved it. The customer service is usually always good but there have been a few rude people, bound to happen in an auto shop. I recommend this to anyone who wants a fair price on their auto service. They have a full service shop that is much cheaper than the dealer

Everyone that works here is AWESOME. They are friendly, professional, efficient, honest, reliable, and fast! I will never take my car anywhere else as these guys do the very best job that you can hope for. The service is impeccable and the prices are more than reasonable. This crew is awesome! I pulled up and had them check my tire pressure and the guy who helped was very helpful, made sure we were safe and ready to hit the road again in less than 2 minutes. I highly recommend this location. The guy with the superman tattoo is also super awesome!

Got an alignment, along with a lecture on my tires being too old and so on…truck still pulled left leaving the shop. A few months later horrible toe wear on my front tire led me to notice play in my wheel bearing. Fixing it I found the clamp on my tie rod loose, and the camber on that wheel horribly off still (whether this is the cause or the result of the wheel bearing failing is like the chicken or the egg but I didn’t order chicken or eggs I just wanted my truck to drive straight, and if the bearing was chotched bad enough to prevent proper alignment it seems to me they should have noticed and tried to sell me that instead of new tires which would have got the toe worn off of them immediately anyways). I’ve now read other accounts of Goodyear always claiming your alignments off…until you buy the 3 year warranty of course… I’d have had better luck doing my own alignment with a monkey wrench and a tape measure…hell, I’d have had better luck even without the tape measure…even with Bridgestone tires on a pinto Y’all are some fryers, I’m going to Priors

Came in yesterday which was Sunday and received excellent service for my Toyota Corolla. Great price on some Kelly tires as well! I was in and out in under 35 minutes !! No appointment even.... I think the manager did my tires too and was showing the other guys how it's done 😂 Super stoked - thanks 😎🤙

I've been going here for years with several cars and I've noticed patterns, and checked repeatedly to be sure.. Avoid these clowns, it could save your life... 1. They intentionally under-inflate tires (24#) to wear them out early on the edges to sell alignment services and new tires etc. Honest, I checked four cars before and after, then when I calmly asked the mgr to set the last one at a specific amount, it came back with lug nuts so tight they can not be removed - even using air tools. They've previously broken some of them, and now we know why. Failing to use a torque wrench at the end and trusting air tools that are set way to high, most likely intentionally too, just for speed. 2. They also use wheel weights that fall off, wasting people's time to make them come back in for balancing and an opportunity to sell more services. Under inflated tires (24#!) can get someone killed, and not being able to change your tire out in the middle of nowhere could too, just like seriously out of balance wheels can at highway speed when the speed wobble sets in. I even called corporate in Dayton, but have they reached out to me? Nope. Best to just avoid these maliciously vengeful incompetent clowns...

The shop is corrupt and unethical. My wife just went there to have her tires rotated, and they told her she needed new tires. Her car has 13,000 miles on it and it’s brand new. It’s also all wheel drive and apparently doesn’t need to have its tires rotated ever, Which they didn’t tell her, An honest shop here in Aptos told her that. Then they told her she needed an alignment that they could do for $500. They can’t even do the alignment on the car she has because the information is proprietary to the type of car she has. If you have one of these cars you’ll know. Last time she went there they did the same thing, and she bought new tires with a car that had 21,000 miles. We had our neighbor check the tires afterward because he owned a tire shop for 30 years and he said that two of the tires were fine, the back were questionable. This time I knew it was baloney, I’d think twice before going to this shop, or just consider an alternative. Unbelievable audacity.

Very dishonest sales methods. I went in for a free tire rotation and was informed that my brakes were very bad and I should "rush" to fix them as they will be unsafe. We'll I didn't hire them to do the work for $1200 instead hired mu mechanic for $400. BUT....they lied.... my brakes were fine and we're never unsafe as they claimed. This is not a trustworthy business...do not trust their diagnostics and be aware of their sales tactics

I purchased 4 new Goodyear tires from Goodyear 5 years ago. Today I brought my vehicle in for a tire rotation. I was told they could not rotate the tires because they were over 6 years old… company policy. The issue is, they sold them to me 5 years ago. So I now learned they sold me old tires and now won’t rotate them. Seems wrong to me. Either sell new tires or agree to rotate them 6 years from the purchase date.

took my car in on a friday and didn’t get it back until the following monday. since it took long, they threw me a deal and price matched the originally price of tires which were ordered wrong and then ordered correctly (why it took so long). they also threw in some stuff like a free alignment and other stuff.

I have goodyear tires I purchased here rotated every oil change service. This time I noticed my tires weren’t rotated when I came to pick up my car. Had I not brought it up they wouldn’t have told me. I understand it’s a law that they can’t rotate tires worn to a certain point. I come here specifically because they rotate my tires with the oil change. They called me to upsell me new brake pads mid oil change, but lacked to tell me they would not be rotating my tires. Again it’s not that I couldn’t get my tires rotated, it’s that they had no plan of letting me know that service was not done. That is just unprofessional. I won’t be coming back.

Last time I came here, there were items on my bill of work that had not been performed. Another time they damaged the posts by over tightening my lug nuts and the owner tried to charge me for the repairs after it had been established it was their fault and their employee told me they would fix it for free. Avoid this place at all costs, they will damage your car and won’t provide services you request although they’ll charge you for it.

Slow tire leak fixed in less than 30min. The gentleman working, didn't get his name, was so friendly. They informed me that my radiator was leaking and gave me all the options of fixing vs risk of waiting until I got home to Oklahoma with no pressure. I highly recommend this place for your tire needs.

I pulled in on a rainy morning with 1 extremely flat/low tire on my F250 Diesel with a large metal hunk in the front tire. Seeing as it was the closet to my house I pulled in as I wasn’t going to make it very far. I walked in and asked the counter guy “Bob Ingram” if they could patch me up. He said “ no, we have other jobs” Typical corporate mentality. This place is not worth the time. Go to Loyds. They always service a flat tire asap. I know it’s happened numerous times to me. I tried to save me a tow. Don’t waste your time with these guys.

I went here for the tire inspection as I was unsure about the specific tread depth and I didn't have full faith in the penny test (when you see how much of Lincoln's head you can see). The staff were faster than expected, and relatively friendly. However, when they said the inspection was complete, they suggested a rotation, balancing and new tires. For reference, I have been using Goodyear tires for a few years, and bought tires rated for 50k miles. At the time, I had put about 30-35k on them. They also suggested an oil change, but didn't have my oil, so they suggested a different location I will not mention, as they charged double what any other location in the area charges, but that wasn't Goodyear's fault. Anyways. After the oil change at the second location, I went to my mechanic and they checked out my tires. They saw no issues, and suggested I replace them in 10-20k miles. Because it was such a dramatic difference, I went to another tire location, who gave me the same response, and even advised against me buying tires and making an appointment. As of now, I've put 15k miles more on the tires, and during my latest maintenence was told they still have life in them. Overall, I appreciate the fact they did the inspection for free. I am also glad the tires I did buy lasted over 50k miles as advertised. As for them suggesting new tires, a rotation, and balancing, that was obviously unnecessary, hence the 3 stars. The mishap with the oil change wasn't their fault, but I would imagine a Goodyear employee would know the better places in Santa Cruz to go (hint, stay local).

Very friendly service from Jake, who filled my air and checked my tires right away, even though other stuff was going on and was very kind and gracious about it. I asked about other services and he totally said that I don’t need them.

I went in after talking to the man on the phone who told me they do an inspection and they do a rotation. The counter person did not hardly look at me when talking without one smile. This was an unpleasant experience. Then I was told it would take an hour. It took about 40 minutes and then it was done I was told that they would not be able to rotate the tires due to my tires being “worn in the edges. Then I asked it they did the inspections and no checks were on the inspection portion of the paperwork. So I asked the counter man to go ask if the mechanic did it. The young man in the garage did not appear that I involved in the conversation as the counter man stood in the garage and did some check marking in my paperwork. Would love to have given 4-5 stars and with proper training on customer service skills, they could better explain themselves and I would have felt more confident in what they were saying. Too bad.
