Nick Torelli has a great shop here and great employees. The scheduling is quick and the work 5 STAR. This is the 2nd time Nick has repaired my car. I drive 125 miles one way to have my car repaired there. The technicians here can do things that most shops can't. If I need auto repairs I'll be making another trip to Chicago.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE. I took my car there Friday morning first thing in the morning at 8. They said everything will be done by 230. I passed to pick it up at 3. Job half way done saying there's a piece missing and needed my approval before ordering. They wait til i went to pick it up to tell me that instead of calling me about it. So since they didn't have the piece they said i couldnt drive out without it and that the car will be ready for Saturday at 12 pm I g9 Saturday to pick it up and they say another piece is missing that they ordered it and waiting for it to come in. Again no call from them. Piece came at 3 . They were closing at 5.And then said car will be ready Monday. They were closing at 5. Was received 2hrs before closing but didn't bother to put it in. Car came out Monday round 6pm. Car still drives the same. I go back to let them know it still drive the same and they say come some other time because it's our lunch time right now. Like really. It was a 5min project. They had my car for 3 days total and couldn't even finish their job correctly. SMH NeverAgain

I would not recommend Grand Auto Center to anyone. I took my 2004 Mercedes Sprinter in for an injector replacement. After I picked it up and paid $1,200. I started the motor only to have diesel fuel spraying out of the top of my engine worse than it was before. I called the shop and asked what had happened and could I bring it back for service. They explained to me that this was the best they could get it to run and I would probably have to replace the entire head for it to work properly. This was not at all true and these mechanics did not install anything correctly. The injector was installed incorrectly and crush washer was never seated in the head. Old stretch bolts and crush washer were never replaced in the repair. This shop has no idea what they are doing. I was charged $1,200 only to have my problem worsen, with no intent of supporting there work. when I did take it to another mechanic, I was forced to pay another $500 to fix the mistake that Grand Auto Center Inc had made worse.

Hello, The person i talked on phone was Mani.. and he was awesome. I have an issue in my air conditioner and I had to get it charged. He advised me that charging is expensive as my car is a newer Mercedes model. He was ready to give an appointment. He later realised that it is under warranty and advised not to come to his place. He asked me to get it done free from the dealer. I am so impressed by the honesty, patience and a great service attitude, I would advise everyone to get their car serviced by him.

I would not recommend bringing your car here especially if you don’t know exactly what you need repaired. I am not knowledgeable about cars, brought mine in because it was having trouble starting. They just replaced spark plugs and engine coils and didn’t run a through diagnostic because the main issue was that I needed a new battery; found this out as it still was not starting normally after the repair. They also took over 48 hours to complete the repair when it was supposed to be done day of. Biggest waste of $950.

I've been coming to Grand for almost a decade, and I will not go anywhere else for my Audi and Subaru. This is by far the most competent and honest independent auto shop in the Chicagoland. They go above and beyond what's required and always are transparent with their communications. There are absolutely no surprises. I’d give them more than 5 starts if I could. On the hottest day of the summer, my car overheated and needed a tow. It was nearing their closing time, so they instructed me where to park and leave the keys. They diagnosed quickly, got the parts very fast, and had it done earlier than expected. They communicated every step of the way, and charged an extremely fair price. You can tell they are professionals who have been in the business a long time. I’ll come here for all future needs, and I recommend them a million times over!

Hello! I brought my Jeep here after it overheated, expecting an honest diagnosis and repair. The shop told me which parts needed replacing and said the car would be ready the next day. They did replace the parts and it seemed legit. When I returned, they pulled out a pressure tester, 3 guys gather around the car, shook their heads , told me to touch the tester and see that pressure is low and started saying the engine was broken and it’s a big damage I won’t be able to drive the car. One mechanic offered to replace my entire engine for $6,000 cash and have it done in 4 days (my car has 57 k miles ). This felt very suspicious and unprofessional. Thankfully, I took my Jeep to a different mechanic who simply replaced the actual faulty part. It costed me 370$ total -towing and part that was changed. Now my car runs perfectly fine. This place tried to upsell me on an unnecessary ENGINE replacement instead of fixing the real issue. I would not trust them again.

Expensive, and they scammed us. We had lifetime guarantee brake pads, which a mechanic can replace at no cost for new pads. They said they couldn’t replace them for free for some reason and charged us for new pads. They said they’d give us the old ones. They didn’t do that, and the woman working there repeatedly blamed my wife for not reminding her (even though my wife did remind her). And we didn’t get any warranty info for the new pads. So their scam here is they charge you for lifetime guarantee brake pads, even though they switch out your old ones for free. They chose not to respond to our complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This place is trash. Go anywhere else.

My toddler son had pulled the front passenger seatbelt back and tangled it so badly it was no longer functioning. I tried to get it untangled to no avail. I took my car to my dealership and they "tried" to untangle it and said I'd need an appt bc they would have to take the panel off to straighten it out (at $195/hr). Took it to Grand Auto instead and they untangled it in 2 min and didn't charge me anything. Three cheers for honesty in an industry that isn't always known for that.
