I've taken my car and pickup truck to the Grease Rack for about 3 years now. They are extremely friendly and professional there. They gave me honest pricing breakdowns and wanted to do whatever they could for as little cost to me as possible. I keep going back for a reason, and they are still in business for a reason. I've read the reviews. You'd be surprised what actually talking to them will do for ya.

I’m really BIG on energy and professionalism every where I go. My first time at this place. I will NOT be going back. It’s a long story about my oil cooler replacement, but in short, if you’re serious about great communication and professionalism, this isn’t the place. Taylor didn’t communicate very well about the prices. A week prior to me dropping my car off there, I called and explained in detail wat I wanted and needed and something told me to record the conversation. I didn’t but DEFINITELY should have!!! After walking quite a distance, the owner tells me a price that I wasn’t quoted. I know that once they start on your car, they might come across other issues, but that’s when communication is suppose to step in. Taylor, or the crazy owner should hv called and kept me updated so I could have had the correct amount. I did appreciate Taylor apologizing, bc it was his fault. The owner had a bit of an attitude, and I know we don’t know each other, but he obviously is not a good business man. He used profanity and was upset about the labor that he thought he had done for nothing. Ima Virgo, and if you know any Virgos, we cross our t’s and are very orderly. Anywho.. the unprofessional owner ended up taking the $74 out of his employees check. As he should have! Train your people. But then, I guess if you don’t have a clue, you can’t teach someone else to have a clue. AND… someone up there stole my car phone charger from the shop. I was very deliberate on wat I took out of my car prior to dropping it off. DONT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!!

I have known and utilized Greg's Grease Rack for many many years personally and professionally. The owner is a very good person, honest, upfront and competent. He stands behind his service professionals as well as their workmanship. I would HIGHLY recommend Greg's Grease Rack to anyone looking for an honest, reputable and fair priced automobile service in the Greater Fort Bend / Harris County Areas.

It's hard to find a mechanic that can be trusted. Greg's Grease Rack has always treated me fairly. I have had major repairs done to my vehicles and have shopped around to compare pricing. They have easily beaten other shops and will take the time to explain in detail what repairs are being done and why. I pass numerous shops on the way to Greg's since I moved and I always will. Life time customer!

My family has been going to Greg's for as long as I can remember, which is probably around 30 years. It goes without saying that a family doesn't become multi-generational repeat customers unless there's something great about the business. I live on the opposite side of town now, but no one else touches my car. They are professional, fast, reasonably priced, honest, and everything else you could hope for in a mechanic. Will continue to go there for as long as possible.

I recommend for honest auto care. I've used this business for 4 different used vehicles I've had. The mechanics do a better, faster job than dealerships who overcharge.

Took my Lexus Gx470 suv to be diagnosed with losing water in the cooling system. The prognosis was a leaking water pump which I could not see leaking from my car. They installed new water pump, timing belt, pulley, tensioner, new antifreeze in 6 hours. Best service, 1st class people, and would recommend Gregs Grease Rack to anyone! 5 star plus! I have been using them for 33 years and have never had a problem. Very honest and good pricing. Thanks Patrick and Donnie! Ya'll are the best! Gene

I thought my car's AC was beyond repair - it needed a new compressor and a condenser, and to make matters worse, it's a hybrid. They found the parts and fixed it. Then we found out a hose was leaking as well. They dyed it and got that replaced as well. That was 2 years ago and my AC is still ice cold! Highly recommend these guys 🚗

Starter went out they got me in and out same day. Very quickly and no hassle. Very polite, I have gone to Greg's a couple of times now and they have done exactly what was needed. The very definition of quality... They might have been so quick due to everyone locked down sheltering in place to avoid this worldwide plague first of seven mentioned in Revelation... Whatever the case I can only recommend Greg's for your auto needs esp. Ford truck. I actually have the Mazda B4000 basically the Ford Ranger. They even provided me with tow services for the going rate. All good 👍, all in all I am very satisfied and will call on them again if anything unforseen comes up... Thanks Patrick!

My family has used them for years. Recently had some car troubles and I brought my vehicle to be inspected at another mechanic shop where they quoted me $2500 for the repair. Instantly I called Greg's Grease Rack to get a second opinion and they did my repair for $2k cheaper than what I was quoted!!! Thanks for saving me 2k!!!! Next time I'll take my care directly to you!

Don’t bring your car here. Brought my car in for a repair and it overheated on me a week afterwards. I had another mechanic go in and find out that nothing was reconnected properly . The radiator hose was loose among many other connections which cause my car to overheat and cause further damage to the engine. I called to let them know and the manager, Patrick was very rude on the phone and wouldn’t even let me finish explaining what was going on. He said to bring the car back in and then he doesn’t care what any other person says, and that they stand behind their work. I will not be bringing my car back here because of their unprofessionalism and complete disregard or accountability. Rudest manager I have ever spoken to and definitely the worst customer we and mechanics.

More expensive than the dealer.... The shop owner, Patrick, quoted a price for the replacement of wheel speed sensor on my Hyundai Santa Fe which was $100 more than at a local Hyundai dealer service center. His cost for the replacement part of a wheel hub was much higher than at auto parts stores in the area. I expected a lower hourly labor rate at an auto repair shop like Greg's as compared to a dealer service center but was not the case. As advised by Patrick, I took my vehicle to the dealer service center and got a better service experience at a lower cost! This used to be my go-to repair shop when young Patrick was new with his dad running the shop several years ago. The cost and service was excellent then. Based on this experience, I am questioning if their pricing is competitive these days.

I took my car in to Greg’s Grease Rack based on recommendations from NextDoor. I am pleased to say I am 100% pleased with everything they did. They called around while I was there to shop for the best prices on parts that would have to be ordered, and I am satisfied that I not only got the most reasonable prices, but also excellent work on my car. I couldn’t be more satisfied.

Edit (3/3/25): In Response to the Owner's Reply I appreciate your response, but there’s nothing to "rectify." The issue wasn’t just a misunderstanding—it was Paco’s unprofessional and dismissive behavior. His refusal to address my concerns and his hostility changed my trust in your shop. I understand no business is perfect, but respect and professionalism should always be a priority. After this experience, I’ve made my decision not to return. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address the issue internally. Original Review: My family and I have been customers of this shop for over 30 years, always trusting them with our vehicles. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I can no longer recommend them. We took our car in for multiple services, including brake work, an oil change (which included fixing a gasket leak), repairs for an overheating issue (replacing leaking hoses), and a tire rotation and balance. Upon picking up the car, my mom immediately noticed it was driving differently—bouncing in a way it never had before. I drove it myself and confirmed that something was definitely wrong. I called the shop, and they asked me to bring it back. At first, the front desk employee and I were both unsure of what could be causing the issue. However, when the mechanic who worked on the car came out, things quickly went downhill. Instead of troubleshooting the problem, he immediately dismissed my concerns, saying the car needed new shocks and suspension work—something that had never been an issue before. When I asked for an explanation, he became defensive and raised his voice, insisting that nothing he did could have affected the ride quality. Wanting to resolve the situation, I asked if he would take a test drive with me. He reluctantly agreed, but instead of listening to my concerns, he continued to argue. I’ll admit I was frustrated, but I genuinely wanted to reach a mutual understanding. I took a step back, apologized for raising my voice, and extended my hand as a sign of good faith—an opportunity to reset the conversation, move past the tension, and have a civil discussion like professionals. He scoffed, looked away, and refused to shake my hand. At that moment, it became clear that he had no interest in resolving anything. A handshake is a universal sign of respect, a way for two people—even in disagreement—to find common ground. His outright refusal wasn’t just dismissive; it was disrespectful. After that, I asked if tire pressure could be a factor, and he casually admitted to adding air because the tires were low when we brought the car in. However, following this tense exchange, he suddenly demanded that I take him back to the shop. As I was still slowing the car to a stop, he jumped out before the vehicle had even come to a complete stop, then slammed the door shut behind him and stormed inside, yelling the entire way. After this experience, I checked the tire pressure myself—all four tires were at 40 PSI, which is 10 PSI over the manufacturer’s recommended level per the door panel sticker. If something as basic as tire inflation was mishandled, it raises concerns about the rest of the work done. I understand that no shop is perfect, and I wasn’t looking to place blame—I simply wanted an explanation. Instead, I was met with hostility and unprofessional behavior. While I’ve had good experiences here in the past, this interaction completely changed my trust in this shop. I won’t be returning, and I hope the business owner addresses this issue so that no other loyal customers are treated this way. For further clarity, I’ve included a picture of the manufacturer’s recommended PSI from the door panel, as well as a receipt from this establishment dating back to 1995, proving my 30-year history as a loyal customer.
