Just wanted to edit this review and lower it down from 5 Stars to 3 as I think that’s fair after my last visit. I took my Camaro in for a simple oil change which went without a hitch until they said I needed a new battery at just over $400 and than my upper oil pan is leaking and it would cost $3800 to repair. The mechanic said oil was running back along the transmission. I explained how the have no oil anywhere at home or anywhere else my car has been parked over night. With that I got a second opinion, the “leak” from the oil pan was spillage from replacing the filter the guy did himself and had no leaks at all. Also Autozone installed a battery for me for $239 out of the door. So while they wanted me to spend over $4k all I actually needed was a $239 battery. They did message like they do after service to see if I was happy with the service provided to which I replied with the information above and never heard a thing back from them. It’s a shame as they have a great reputation and wanted them to be my go to for my cars, sadly the trust has wavered a little and after reading some of the reviews on here it seems this type of thing has happened a few times. I still stand by the fact the staff are super friendly, the place is extremely clean and it’s a welcoming place, this all could have just been an oversight by the mechanic working on my vehicle but the fact AJ reached out after to see if I was happy and didn’t reply to what I explained leaves me disappointed ———————————- Review for my first visit: Excellent service. Took my Camaro to see how much it would cost for new brake pads, 90 minutes later I have new pads all round and an oil change. I was really surprised they were able to get it done immediately, it’s an extremely busy shop, one of the busiest I’ve been to. Good prices, great staff, super clean waiting area. Just a good honest shop to take your car. This was my first time here but I’ll be sure to make this my home for all servicing needs on my Camaro

We had problems starting the car and had “that feeling” that something major was most likely affecting it. Gulf Breeze Automotive was first on our list to diagnose and fix the issue. They’re meticulous in finding out what’s wrong and getting the repair done right the first time. Turned out to be a fuel pump and a difficult one to get to and replace. They took the time to do the extensive repair and kept us updated with all that was being done from start to finish. Our car starts and runs beyond fantastic now. Would highly recommend them for car maintenance or repair work. They do a great job!

I own a large aircraft maintenance shop and when I saw how organized and clean this shop was, I knew they took pride in their work. Their customer service was equal to the shop-excellent in every respect. They provided me a ride home and picked me up when car was ready. Doesn’t get much better than this. My transmission went out and gulf breeze automotive was able to get her up and running in a timely manner. I was able to use one of their loaner cars while mine was being worked on. My car stopped in traffic and while I was troubleshooting an employee from Gulf Breeze Automotive pulled over to help me out. After we got my car up and running and out of the road, I stopped into the shop to get it checked out. They tested my battery and let me know it should still be under warranty but they were happy to assist. I decided to take my car to the dealer but the staff at Gulf Breeze Automotive were so nice and really went above and beyond. I genuinely appreciate their willingness to help me out in a situation where others might have tried to rip me off. Truly a professional and community oriented business!

I am a shade tree mechanic but the older I get the less I know about these newer vehicles. I was starting to get some 'tapping' noise under a cold start load and quickly realized this was outside my scope of work. I stopped by and asked for a diagnosis. Mr. Tim said he would give me call as soon as the mechanic could make his evaluation. The call came in with a Variable Valve Timing sprocket going bad. For reading expediency, they had to change out all of the parts from the camshaft gears down to the water pump. Mr. Tim kept me well informed about where we were in the process. The thing that I really appreciate is the attention to detail the mechanic took to ensure the parts that he was putting in were functional! These guys are not the parts manufacturer, they are the installer. So when Mr. Tim called and said that the Variable Timing Gear on the Camshaft they received was bad I was shocked but very appreciative that they had taken the time to identify that and order a new one. Then the 2nd Cam Shaft Gear came in. Again, Mr. Tim called and said that this solid metal gear appeared to have been dropped and some of the teeth were 'dinged' to the point that they did not feel comfortable installing it. Long story short, even though these bad parts that were delivered caused a delay in repairing my car, I greatly appreciated them being consciencence enough about their work to not do a so-so repair that isn't perfect! I find it hard these days to find technicians that care about their quality of work as much as I care about a job well done! I would highly recommend Gulf Breeze Automotive for your vehicles needs. I noticed steam coming out from under the hood one day when on my way to work. It turned out that when I had gotten my oil change at another establishment, the technician never put that coolant cap back on the radiator. Luckily there wasn't any damage and Gulf Breeze Automotive quickly refilled the system, sealed it, and tested for completion of repair. Not only this, but they didn't charge me a dime. I had to ask again as I thought I misheard. ZERO. They said it was a quick repair and they just wanted to make sure I was safe. Amazing service. Needless to say, I gave them some business having them change out some brakes that were in need of service. I can't say how awesome it is to find an honest mechanic that does great work. Also worth mentioning that all my interactions with the staff were great with extreme professionalism and detailed updates.
