April 2019, Should be called "Honest Jim Gunn's". Always, well for the last 45-50 years or so, Mr. Gunn has operated at this location giving high quality service at fair prices. I know this because my Father in Law has been a customer for most of those years. He was a WWII vet and was well informed on auto maintenance. I am now one of Mr. Gunn's customers and also find him to be knowledgeable and fair and honest in his pricing.

Ive done some work here and they've charged me an arm and a leg. I have paid over 300 dollars for a battery change. Recently had a break fluid leak and they told me it would cost over 900 dollars to fix. I just fixed it for 200. I yet to find a trust worthy mechanic.

If you're looking for a reliable and honest mechanic, look no further. Mark goes above and beyond in explaining the problem and getting right down to the cause. They are more than reasonably priced, and work sincerely with the customer to ensure quality service in a timely manner. I have had my brakes, oil, transmission fluid, and now my water pump and serpentine belt done here. I will never be going to another mechanic as long as I live in Connecticut. Over the past year, I’ve used Gunns Auto numerous times, and I can’t recommend them enough! Mark and Jackie are incredibly kind and make every visit a pleasant experience. Over several visits, they helped me with a few different repairs, including replacing a side-view mirror, fixing a headlight, and doing a full brake replacement. The quality of their work has always been top-notch, and they completed everything very quickly (same day service!). On top of that, their prices were on the low end of average, which was a pleasant surprise given the excellent service they provided. If you’re looking for a trustworthy and skilled mechanic shop with a family-friendly vibe, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back for all my future car maintenance needs!

Gunns automotive was able to fix issues with my truck , that other shops couldn’t. They had my truck running like new. They are an honest , reasonable small town like shop. They’ve also fixed issues with my wives car and gave us different options. I consider myself lucky to have found this shop and will not go anywhere else ever again.
