5 stars!! Hal's and the team there have been professional, courteous, and will go the extra mile, even if the news you're receiving is not necessarily the news you were hoping for. The technicians will do the work right the first time and will not recommend something unnecessary. I waited for awhile to put this review in to make sure the replaced parts, services and vehicle is as it should be, and it is. Highly recommend the team at Hal's in Northville. we had an Acadia older model 2012. timing chain broke. they said they can make it like a new truck. 3276.00 it lasted 12 months. 2340.00 dollars . they worked on it again. lasted 3 weeks!. wanted another 2000 + dollars and we sais no thank you. we're senior citizens on a fixed income. the worst experiences ever. and also we are family. we got tucked. don't ever go to this ever unless you want get scammed!

I really appreciated the Annual Vehicle Inspection & follow up work completed on my Ford Fusion in August ~ at Hal’s Auto Clinic in Northville -I received an inspection report which flagged my yellow issues & explained repairs. The report was great! It included approx. 70 check points, with remarks & pictures where applicable. -I had Hal’s Auto Clinic complete repairs on (my yellow) items that had been flagged & was equally satisfied with the repairs, pricing, & time required to complete. -Lori at the front desk is great to work with! Our car's alternator died, luckily just a few blocks away from Hal's. Never heard of them before as we live about 25 minutes away from here. I called and talked to Lori who was super helpful and she was able to squeeze us in and get the car repaired very quickly and at a great price. I was extremely impressed with the amount of time and effort they spent on the complimentary inspection as they found another major issue with an axle seal that I most likely would have never known about until the differential completely burned up. It's funny because I just had the car at the dealer for an oil change and this was totally missed on their multi point inspection. That particular location is difficult to spot due to the low profile, but Hal's saved me there! I will say that I have to pass probably a dozen auto repair shops to get to Hal's, but it's where we'll go from now own if it's something I can't/won't do myself. Thanks Lori and everyone at Hal's!

They're unreasonably expensive. They mark up their parts by 200% (not exaggerating). They charged us $1,117.76 to replace 16 spark plugs. $644.32 for labor and $473.44 for parts. The OEM spark plugs are $9 from reputable vendors. They dont need to be marking up the cost of these by that much (especially when they're selling 16 of them) This is just one example of the thievery that goes on. They were probably a reasonable shop to go to before they got bought out by Detroit garage. If you take your car here. Expect to drain your savings account.

Hal’s always does a good job on our cars. They keep us informed as to what needs to be done, the progress, and then give us a detailed report at the end as to what was done and what else might need to be done at some point. I do wish they wrapped the diagnostic fee into the overall price instead of billing separately as this was a bit of a surprise, but the price itself was reasonable and we are quite happy with the results.
