Very unprofessional. Ask for $90 cash just to take a look. So I said how about $30 because you might not do anything to the car. Then he laughed at me and said "good bye, good bye....."

Wow....reading this made me happy I ain't dealing with this guy. And secondly, after looking at the complaints and the pictures of this guy, it could be a con artist. This is not Kai Kahele , this dude is using a fake alias for a name. Beware. 4 pictures in this are not places in Hawaii. It's a scam.

I called about getting a leaking engine oil cooler line repaired. I have gotten the parts. I am aware of doing a diagnostic to confirm what I was told the problem is. NO ONE HAS EVEN TOUCHED THE CAR. Except going on the lift where a big local named Co. ONLY eyeballed it six months ago. THEN all this guy did was ramble on and on about liability for others repairs blah blah blah. Remember NO ONE has put a wrench to the car. I have the ability to do the repair but can't due to orthopedic surgery. I went elsewhere; maybe you'll have better luck in dealing with him.

Based on my experience with Hawaii Mobile Mechanics, and its mechanic “Kay”, I highly suggest you don’t use the company for the following reasons: -Kay either misdiagnosed or did not fully diagnose my trucks starting problem. -He did not return phone/texts after my “fixed” truck left me stranded the day after he “fixed” it -Was only able to get a hold of him by contacting him from a different number (I believe he blocked my phone) -He pulled a no-show to fix my truck a second time, then showed up 4 hours late, 2 days later to try the same repair a second time (installing another new alternator) which of course didn’t work....after 8 days of dealing with him, i took my truck to midas and it was properly diagnosed and fixed within 24 hrs -No receipt for completed work was ever given -Kay needed gas money to return to auto parts store after he picked up the wrong alternator, despite having taken mine with him so he could get the correct part -never apologized for wasting my time or his unprofessional behavior, instead saying he was just busy fixing other peoples cars when he was supposed to be addressing my vehicle -charged me $80 for oil??? In summary, i paid $700 for a new alternator I likely didn’t need, then (gladly) paid Midas another $700 to fix the actual problem, a bad internal ignition switch. The fact the Kay didn’t care to, or simply couldn’t diagnose my trucks issue(s) left me stranded on the road, cost me hours of lost time waiting for him at my home, and ultimately paying a real mechanic shop to fix my Truck completely. Based on my experience, Hawaii Mobile Mechanics, and its mechanic Kay, are unprofessional and untrustworthy....don’t hire them, you will likely regret it!!

Was a horrible mechanic came looked at my car suggested what was wrong. It supposedly being a new wire and a ignitor. Told me it was gonna cost 800$. I have him the money to buy the part. HE TOOK MY MONEY AND NEVER CAME BACK. Call and call but he doesn't answer. Now I still have a broken car and I'm out about 500$. Was waiting outside by my car for hours and he never returned. DO NOT USE THIS PERSON AT ALL. HE WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND OVER CHARGE YOU!!! Also left my car in pieces

HE WILL TAKE YOUR $120 FOR A DIAGNOSTIC AND NEVER SHOW UP AGAIN. I contacted this guy and had him do a diagnostic on our truck. He ran some codes, claimed our sensors were off and said he needed to do more research and that he would be in touch. He seemed like a decent guy and I took him at his word. He provided no receipt for the service and NEVER FOLLOWED UP. Phone calls and texts went unanswered and we were left with a broken down truck and out $120. I called another mechanic and paid ANOTHER diagnostic and he replaced our fuel pump and got us on the road again. I’m disputing the charges by this company and he has the audacity to refuse a refund. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! TOTAL SCAM!!!!
