I tried to have them help me with my car & they responded once and than ghosted me. 🤷♀️ I understand being busy but just say that, don't leave someone who's ready to pay for your services hanging. I won't try again. That being said 3 stars because I have heard good things about their work; if you get that far.

Jake and Vi make a great team. I hired them twice to work on my 2005 Nissan Murano. Hood to hood diagnosed the problem came out and fixed and took pictures of the work and oil place that done me wrong. Jake the mechanic and owner of hood to hood , put new spark plugs and whole new valve coverd gaskets amd much more. Hood to hood was dependable and professional. Jake loves what he does and it shows in his work ethic and workmanship. I would hire again. Came right out to my house, quickly did the work. Very efficient and knowledgeable about mechanics.

I had him fix my blinker that was not working. He convinced me I needed to replace all my other bulbs too, so over $300 total. 2 months later, the blinker was out again. I contacted him over the course of several days to see if he could stop by and take a look, and never received one response. I contacted him again this week, a month or two after I had originally tried to contact him, and no response. This is no way to run a business. I understand being out of range for a few days but as a customer whose problem you didn't really fix, to not answer at all is pretty scummy.

My father owns a 2005 Smart Car that needed its windshield wipers repaired. The nearest shop we could find to fix the car is in Sacramento—which is a long way to go, especially when you're 87. Thankfully, my sister found Jake at Hood-2-Hood Mobile Auto Repair. He came out within 2 days, fixed the wipers (and recharged the AC) right in the driveway. Jake and family are not only extremely professional, and efficient. They are lovely, down-to-earth people. We highly recommend their services.

This is an incredible service in Chico! I'm from the Bay Area, and my car broke down on a Sunday while visiting a friend in Chico recently. Thought that I'd have to wait for all the mechanic shops to open the next day, but Jake was surprisingly accessible and helped me rather quickly.
