A few friends recommended j&e when I got s cream in my oil pan. I was facing upwards of $900 in repairs. John was able to help me out substantially and buy me some time to save for the replacement. Plus one I get the pan replaced, the charge isn't nearly what other places cost! Just knowing I'm in good hands from word of mouth and now personal experience is a relief! They are so helpful and very friendly. And Dee really made me feel comfortable guiding me through the process and making me feel like VIP. They truly care about their customers.

I have been going to J & E since 1991, and taken several of my cars there over the years. I’ve never gotten less than excellent service from John, his wife Dee and his employees. Most recently I took my son’s car there with a battery issue. Right away, John took a look at it, and within half an hour he’d figured it out and I had the car back. He can handle all kinds of vehicles, from my wife’s Mercedes S550 coupe to my son’s Hyundai Santa Fe. John is a great and reliable mechanic and I will continue to give him my family’s business!

The shop is on the one way frontage road to Highway 111 that only goes west. Very friendly and nice mechanic. Very busy and popular. I've walked by in the past but took the car to the dealership because that's what my father was doing. The dealer wanted me to replace the car, of course, and took a long time.

I just tried to get an appointment with these people and she was very reluctant to get me one and then her comment was do you have a screwdriver? Well, I do have screwdrivers, but it requires other tools to remove the brake lights. Besides that, maybe I don’t want to do it myself. I was calling to have it done not to be put down!

Attempted to bring my car in for an oil change this morning. When I called to make an appointment last Friday, I was told by the man who answered to drop it off between 8-9am today, Tuesday. Mornings are challenging for me because of work demands, so I took this morning off to accommodate the drop off time. When I arrived, the woman at the desk scolded me and said they wouldn't even take my car if I had arrived at 8:10am, because I needed to drop it off before 8:00am. 🤷‍♀️ She didn't even offer me another date or any kindness. I wish I could've had the great experience others have noted, but it seemed odd to me that for a simple oil change, she couldn't have accommodated me given the minor miscommunication. Hope this is helpful for others, make sure you drop off before 8am and *only* before then. Edit: To the woman who responded here, I specifically asked if you could still fit me in given what appeared to be a miscommunication. I was nothing but positive and nice to you. That is when you replied that even if I had come at 8:10am you wouldn't have taken my car. You may be unaware of your demeanor, but it was condescending and rude and left no impression of helpfulness or kindness. Please don't lie and say I walked out before you could do anything. You had no intention of being helpful. It seems from the few negative reviews here that others have had this experience with you, as well. Further, I *had* made an appointment with a man who answered on Friday last week, as mentioned in my initial review, and was told to come in between 8-9am. I have no problem respecting your policies, had I been aware of them. My review is simply to let others know that this is your policy and that even when you may be told otherwise, it may not be honored. Here are some alternative ways this could have been handled: "I'm so sorry there was a miscommunication about the drop off time. Let me check to see if we can still honor your appointment." "Unfortunately, we can't honor the appointment today, but would it be possible to reschedule with you for another date?" "No problem, I understand that miscommunication can happen. Are you able to leave your vehicle with us and pick it up at X time?" "I apologize, we didn't write you into our schedule. Would it be possible to reschedule?"

This place is amazing. Had any issue with the underside of the car. The plastic skirt came detached after I ran over something on the highway. Just stop by with no appointment & they took a look & began working on it right away. I all fixed up in less than 30 mins. They only charged me $20 & I felt it was worth every penny. I don’t live in Palm Springs but I would definitely go have this place work on my car again Thank you so much for your professional & customer care

I cannot say enough about our positive experience with J & E ! They navigated me through a challenging repair with my Kia Amanti, which is an obsolete model, with hard to find parts. Most fundamentally, this is a family run business. John & Dee and their team, including their cute little Chihuahua siblings, leave you doubtless that you are in good hands. While a comment most often reserved only for restaurants, if I can taste the pride and care put into the food, I say that you can “taste the love“ that goes into it. And while I never thought I would be saying that about an auto repair shop, these folks have the love baked into their business! The service is top-tier, and I am doubtless that this is a good part of the reason they are rated and reviewed so highly. Bravo J& E…keep up the greatness !!

They are the best! My truck broke down on my way to visit relatives in the area, and I had to get a tow to their shop after hours (J and E was a friend's recommendation), no notice, I'm from out of town, just simply dropped off the keys with my contact info and a short note. They were amazing! Honest answers, no price gouging, had it fixed later the same day. Unbelievable! This is the shop you need to use for servicing all your vehicles if you live in the area. Maximum stars to J and E!
