I called Jay to diagnose the no crank no start on my '94 Chevy Blazer. He had availabilty only an hour or two later, which was very convenient. Jay arrived exactly on time, and kept me updated about his departure, ETA, arrival. The diagnostic price was extremely affordable. Jay found the issue quickly and provided an estimate up front before continuing. His labor cost was reasonable, which was refreshing. Jay was working on my ol' beater truck, so I wanted him to use cheaper parts, and that wasn't an issue at all for him, which I appreciate. Jay has a nice personality, and he seems very knowledgeable. Jay provides a heck of a bargain, and I'll be having fix my vehicles from now on. I highly recommend him.

Jay is super professional, and his prices are super reasonable. I recently moved to Florida and needed a mechanic. He showed up very quickly, and fixed the problem. I definitely recommend him. He's also mobile, so you don't have to pay to have your car towed to a shop. Which is a plus because tows can be expensive. 10 stars if I could !!! Awesome mechanic, he knows just about everything that has to do with cars. He’s very knowledgeable, and can fix just about anything. He truly cares about his customers, and will literally do anything to help you out.

We had an tension pulley bearing seize up and destroy the serpentine belt while traveling cross country, one late afternoon. I quickly started googling mechanics and Jay answered the phone despite it being near closing time. He was able to source the belt and found out the pulley was bad once he got to us, and immediately was able to get that at a local part store before they closed. He worked quickly, and was very kind to my kids who were going bonkers over being stuck on the side of the road. Once he finished up he noted a few things for me to get fixed once we got to our destination. Small things that weren't necessary in the moment, but he still checked anyway. Jay is absolutely a pro. He could have charged double. He had us back on the road much more quickly than I'd have thought. I HIGHLY recommend Jay and wish we lived in the area so I could go to him with all my mechanical needs. Thanks, Jay!

My car wouldn’t start and thank goodness for Jay’s affordable car care! I was stressing about having to get it towed but Jay was able to come out and diagnose it within 20 minutes, his wife is also so nice! They were able to get us a discount and he got my car fixed within the same day within 30 minutes, I highly recommend his services, everything was very clear and he explained everything. Jay is awesome. Nothing but helpful and kind. More than fair with pricing. He's come to help me with car issues at my work and at my home. Great dude, and he's honesty a better mechanic than the folks I've dealt with at 10 bay shops with all the pomp, advertising, awards, references, and bs circumstance one can buy from the local npr station. If you need a mechanic in Gainesville and you call anyone else, you've made a mistake. I've delt with a few of the big chains and several other local shops. Nobody has taken care of my cars as well or as inexpensively as Jay. Old fashioned. Charges a reasonable rate for labor and doesn't bs you about part costs. How it should be. That simple. Give this man your business.

Do not work with this guy. He will pick up the phone when you first call and set up a time with you. When its time he will not pick up the phone and will not reply to any of your text. It was saturday and my breaks went out and needed it by monday. Its my only car to get to work. Yes its a big deal. I had to scramble and sweet talk a shop to do it the next day at a premium price. This mechnic is unreliable.

Jay is very knowledgeable and very responsive with calling/texting back. He is also mobile and will come to you. He met our daughter at the UF parking garage to diagnose our Acura RDX (that another repair place said had two broken fans). He said they were working fine and he didn’t want to replace something that he felt was working accurately. He is extremely honest, and his rates are very competitive. He treated us more than fairly.
