Wouldn't work on my vehicle aftering quoting me prices, because he doesn't want to have to call me to drop it off the morning that he can work on it - If I can't leave it with him, "then just take it to the dealer" so...awesome. after working for a month to get the quoted funds ready I must now search again for a new transmission shop. 'Displeased' doesn't scratch the surface.

Place is very knowlegable, after talking on the phone for a minute or two they had diagnosed the problem, and after taking the transmission to them shortly after they gave a good price for the repairs and would have it back to me within a few days. Would highly reccomend for custom vehicles as they specialize in rebuilds and are very flexible.

Took my 2012 Traverse to him. It seemed to be shifting weirdly. He said it was the torque converter. Charged me an outrageous $1900 and only took cash. The car still shifted the same. When I asked if the torque converter he remove was faulty he simply said “ I don’t know”. I will never go back and will let everyone I know what happened to me

When my car started making a terrible noise while shifting gears, I dropped it off to Bobby at Jeffersontown Transmission. The transmission was shot, but 2 days later he had it overhauled and ready to go. My car is running great and it was worth every penny to get back on track with our busy schedule. I'd recommend Jeffersontown Transmission to anyone.

I purchased a minivan last week that started having some transmission problems. Took it to Jeffersontown Transmission. They scanned the transmission and test drove it. Said it probably needed a rebuild, but would be best to have a rebuilt or new transmission installed, but wouldn't be worth it considering the age and mileage on the car. They did say that the positive battery cable was probably giving a speed sensor code on the transmission and it needed to be replaced, so I had them replace it. Cost $205! Took the van to Cottman Transmission and Total Auto Care. They scanned it, test drove it, and found out that the engine and transmission were about to fall out of the vehicle. Was going to cost $1500 in frame work to get it fixed, and that didn't include any transmission work. So, I got taken twice. Once by the guy who sold me the van. The second time by Jeffersontown Transmission. Cottman didn't charge me a dime for their diagnostic. I paid Jeffersontown Transmission over $200 for a battery cable and a scan. What a waste. The van is not safe to drive! Why didn't Jeffersontown find that? I was fixing on driving the van to Texas. I don't think they even put the car on a lift to check it out. Wow! I feel like I was taken. $200 down the drain.

I won't let anyone else work on my transmission. It took a couple of days for him to start looking at it but all good mechanics are busy. He found the vibration in two locations and saved me the expense of a rear differential or a new transmission. He completed the work when he said he would. Very honest and very good at what he does.

Bobby at JTown Transmission svc inc IS THE MAN. Very knowledgeable very polite very good at his job. I felt very secure knowing Bobby was going to fix my transmission and he did a fabulous job. My trans is like new and going great. He has extended mechanical knowledge and is a very nice guy. I trust him with my vehicle and don't want to ever take it anyplace else. I like Bobby, however they don't truly troubleshoot your transmission. I took my vehicle here and was told the transmission was bad because the reading from the obd2 showed 9 transmission errors. I was quoted almost $6k to put a remanufactured transmission in my vehicle. Fortunately I ran on hard times and couldn't afford the replacement. After researching the error codes, I found the issue was just a transmission filter. I replaced the transmission filter myself and have been driving my vehicle for over a month with no further issues. I waited until I put a few thousand more miles on my vehicle to post this review, just to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Bobby is an honest man! I took my vehicle to his transmission shop and he inspected the vehicle and gave me all the details and frankly mentioned that the vehicle will cost a lot of to get it fixed and he was willing to do. At the end, I decided not to fix the vehicle and Bobby didn't charge me a dime though he kept my vehicle at his shop for two days. This is badge and honesty and kindness. Thank you Bobby! I recommend his shop if you have vehicle issues.

Bobby was very knowledgeable in helping me understand the maintenance needs of my vehicle. After being told by the dealership that I need to replace the entire transmission, Bobby recommended that we do a complete system flush before we take extreme measures. So far, I can certainly tell a difference, I believe my 2021 Tahoe is going to get much more life! I’m not sure that the dealerships have true specialized experts anymore.
