PLEASE BEWARE, these people are scammers. I went in for an oil change and they wanted to charge me $90 even with already having the new oil and oil filter with me. I was in desperate need of the oil change so I agreed. I went inside to pay while they were inspecting my car and the mechanic came and said that I was in dire need of 2 back brake pads. I asked for the price and he said that the clerk working at the front would tell me. After waiting a while, they verbally gave me an estimate of roughly $1500. This price was to cover the oil change, brake pads, and refilling all my car liquids. They heavily pushed for the service because they claimed it was unsafe to take the car out in the state that it was, although the car is very well taken care of. I was in shock due to the price and was in a bad state of mind due to a very recent death in the family, so I hesitantly agreed to sign the easypay leasing agreement. Mind you, the clerk had covered EVERYTHING on the page except for the signature line. I was not able to see what they were charging me for every individual service before signing.
After 5-10 minutes, I felt instant regret as I did not have the funds for this. I begged them to cancel the work they were going to do to my car, and the clerk refused and kept claiming that they were already performing the services on the car, when they clearly weren’t, as the window to the shop was right next to me and they hadn’t touched my vehicle at all at the time of this request. I was on the verge of a panic attack when my wife came into the shop asking for the itemized bill, which they repeatedly REFUSED to provide until she had threatened to call the police. Afterwards, they reluctantly gave her the bill, and I was completely overcharged for services that I did not ask for.
Instead of only the 2 back brake pads that I supposedly needed, they charged me for all 4 brake pads and the rotors (which were not in need of replacement) at a whopping $250 for each. Every single fluid on my car was also replaced when I had absolutely no need of replacing them, and not only that, they were all completely overfilled, leading to a check engine light 2 days after! I needed to take the car to another mechanic to have them extract the overfilled fluids. Remember earlier how I said I went for an oil change? I checked the oil when I got home just to realize that the oil was even darker than it was before! They NEVER EVEN DID the oil change and kept my items that I had provided. I now have to rebuy everything and do the oil change at my new mechanic because of these SCAMMERS stealing the items that I had purchased on my own and provided to them to do a service that they never did, but made SURE they charged me heavily for.
Talking to the manager solved absolutely nothing. He was extremely rude and disrespectful just as the store clerk was. They treated my wife like complete garbage, even repeatedly INSULTING her after she was just sitting in the waiting room in silence, having them give the excuse that “I had signed the paperwork” knowing that they covered up everything, and taking advantage of my state of mind from the death in my family.
I was LIED to, OVERCHARGED, taken ADVANTAGE of, SCAMMED, INSULTED, and ROBBED of my money. The services weren’t done correctly, my car had a check engine light just 2 days after, and it turns out that the excess motor oil that was overfilled managed to ruin my cars purge valve, causing me to spend an additional $100 plus labor costs to fix their own negligence ONTOP OF the $1500 bill that they were so insistent on having me sign.
I have been calling corporate every day since 10/8/24 and I have not gotten any calls back regarding my case and nothing has been done. The most I’ve gotten was one of the agents claiming that it looks like they denied my refund but they were unsure. If nothing gets resolved, I will be reporting this location to the Better Business Bureau and seeking legal action against Jiffy Lube. DO NOT let them SCAM you and RUIN your car. I IMPLORE you to please go anywhere else but here.
