Steve is fantastic. Couldn't get my headlight bulbs unscrewed myself, he told me to come by and he got them both done. Even though I'd never been a customer before, he charged me zero! Definately a new place to take my cars for maintenance & repairs. As stated in other reviews this is a shop that has integrity and is not out to overcharge you. I'll be back.

I would like to share some important facts about JM&H Auto, I worked for several years in the automotive repair industry. I met many honest and dishonest customer service personnel, from the mechanics to management. So, when I started shopping for a completely full-service honest auto repair shop for my business and personal vehicles, I learned 9 out of 10 recommendations from business owners of different industries, as well as individuals, all within the Clovis area recommended JM&H auto. They really care about their customers, their vehicles and are great listeners, they're not about the money, they are about customer satisfaction, service and not about excuses or poor I don't know answers, because they get to the bottom of your vehicles problem and resolve it. So, now I take all my vehicles to Steve, Eric and Joe, the 3 heartbeats of this wonderful service, and I am comfortable enough with their honesty that I send my wife to deal with her vehicle issues when I'm not available, knowing they will treat her with respect and not take advantage of her lack of automotive knowledge. So, take your car to JM&H if you want to sleep well at night and not worry or stress out, especially when you are getting ready to take that long awaited trip out of town, knowing JM&H Auto did you right! I appreciate the level of honesty and integrity from JM&H. They are very communicative and reliable. I always feel that they are being honest and upfront with me and they are not recommending repairs and services that I don't truly need. I have even had situations where the actual repair ended up costing less than their original estimate. They didn't have to do that as I wouldn't have known the difference. That's integrity!

They even sent pictures of my filters to show me and give me the option to replace them before they charged me. Very honest brokers which I completely respect. I'd give 10 stars if I could!! I have always tried to find a good mechanic, but like most people I try and find the cheapest, or ask friends and get referred to people they know, or the "friend that works on cars". Of course, until I knew I needed a "real" mechanic. I chose JM&H auto by the reviews and decided to take my sons car that wouldn't start.. And the reviews didn't lie. They were prompt, professional and I didn't feel pushed or persuaded by any means. Very honest!!! I then took my car a couple of weeks later, that's how comfortable I felt. I finally have good car doctors!!! Thanks to Joe, Steve, and rest of their team. The problems we were experiencing are now much improved. These guys are legit. I walked in with two separate engine codes, both with unknown causes, and after the payment for diagnostics ($150; standard for the area) they made suggestions for clearing the codes they advised I try before we moved forward with any potentially unnecessary, costly parts replacements. Following those suggestions cleared the codes and I have had no further issues. Tl;dr: If you're looking for a trustworthy service who will only charge you for what you need, I can strongly recommend JM&H.

I strongly suggest that anyone who is trying to find a good/great mechanic shop, honest up-front transparency accompanied by picture timelines of what they find wrong with your vehicle, and if you read Reviews, you owe it to yourself to give the opportunity to JM&H Automotive. I dealt with Steve who is a very professional and personable person. First impressions were great from the start and very accommodating with my situation at the time. My official second visit back from the first time many years ago. I initially made the appointment for a cracked radiator on my 2009 Ford Sport Trac to possibly be replaced. They confirmed the radiator replacement along with a couple other issues they had found and brought to my attention (with photos) so that I knew about it ahead of time not after all was said and done. Now, no one likes unforeseen surprises on top of what you originally took your car in for and that the shop is trying to take advantage of you, or milk you for more money. Not with these gentlemen! I appreciate very much how they went about things and informed me of additional problems that would have cost me much more on down the road and possibly more damage. I believe I have finally found a fair and honest mechanic shop. Thank you JM&H and keep up with the honest hard work that you show and have.
