Last summer, I had one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences with the Maserati service team for my 2020 Levante. The lack of professionalism, honesty, and care was shocking, and I feel compelled to share my story to warn others.
The issue began when I brought my Levante in for a driver seat wiring problem. I was assured by the service manager, Kris, that the wiring was faulty and needed replacement. After what felt like endless back-and-forth communication, they claimed the issue was fixed and the wiring had been replaced. However, when I asked for proof – specifically, the broken part they supposedly replaced – they had nothing to show. No explanation, no broken wiring, nothing. This raised a glaring red flag: was the wiring ever replaced, or was this just an attempt to charge me for unnecessary work? What made this worse was the way I was treated throughout the ordeal. Communication was abysmal. Despite repeated follow-ups, I was left waiting for updates that never came. Every time I reached out, I was either ignored or given vague, dismissive answers. It was clear that my concerns were not a priority for them. On top of that, the entire process dragged on far longer than it should have. Promised timelines were missed, and I was forced to chase the service team just to get basic information. This isn’t the level of service one expects when owning a luxury car like a Maserati. Maserati prides itself on being a prestigious brand, but this experience has proven otherwise. It felt like I was being misled and taken advantage of – not the relationship a customer should have with a supposed “luxury” service team. Kris and the Maserati service center owe their customers transparency and respect, yet my experience was the exact opposite. If they truly replaced the wiring as claimed, why couldn’t they provide proof? This incident has left me questioning Maserati’s integrity and their commitment to customer satisfaction.
To anyone considering a Maserati, be prepared for service that falls far short of what the brand promises. Maserati must hold its service centers accountable and rebuild trust with its customers. Until they do, I cannot recommend their vehicles – not because of the cars themselves, but because of the way the brand treats its owners.

The service experience at Johnson Maserati of Cary has been consistently unparalleled on every level over the last 6 years. Service representatives are not only knowledgeable and reliable but are a pleasure to work with at every interaction. I especially loved that I was provided a service video of my car issued by my technician. That was very helpful and informative too.
